 Hermione's true love.
Summery: Hermione has been in love with Professor Snape since her first
year. When she is taken and Snape saves
her, he is threatened with Azkaban. Hermione figures that there is only
one way to save him, much to Snape's surprise.

 Chapter Three: Hermione's decision

 When they arrived in the Entrance Hall they saw Professor
Dumbledore and McGonagall standing there. They looked
grave for some reason. Hermione and Snape wondered what was going on.
 " Severus could you follow me, Miss Granger could you return to
Gryffindor tower," Professor McGonagall told them.
 " What's going on?" asked Hermione.
 " Just do as I say." Hermione broke free of Snape's grasp.
 " No I'm not going anywhere, I want to know what's going on," she
demanded her voice getting higher. McGonagall
looked at her but Dumbledore spoke up.
 " If Hermione wants to come then she has the right," he told her.
Professor McGonagall stared at him and then motioned
for them to follow her. They headed to Dumbledore's office and she knew
that something was not right, she just had a bad
feeling and as they entered and saw Fudge with Mad-eye Moody, and Tonks
she knew something was differently wrong.
 " Ah I see you caught the Deatheater coming back," he told them.
Hermione looked at him as though he was mad.
 " Cornlius while you are here, you will treat Severus with
respect." Fudge looked at him and then turned to the two
of them.
 " Draco Malfoy has informed us that you were seen stunning Miss
Granger and taking her away. Now I don't have to
guess where you went with her, and I'm here to tell you that you are
heading to the Ministry of Magic to answer to the
charges of using the stunning spell on Miss Granger, and kidnapping,"
he informed him. Hermione started to
get mad.
 " How dare you accuse Severus of these things,' she yelled. "
Severus didn't do anything wrong."  Fudge looked at
her.
 " Now dear he has confunded you, you don't know what your
saying."  Hermione grabbed Severus around the waist
and didn't let go.
 " I know what I'm saying, he didn't stun me, he didn't kidnap me,
and he didn't confund me get your facts
straight," she spat. " Draco stunned me, I was coming out of the
Library and he greeted me like he always does
and then I ended up in a bedroom. He turned to Moody and Tonks.
 " I need you to take Miss Granger to the Hospital and work to
brake threw the Confundus charm," he told them.
" I'm taking Severus to the Ministry."
 " Your not taking Severus anywhere Fudge, " Hermione screamed. "
You not going to send him there for something
that he didn't do."
 " Look now Miss Granger he is a deatheater, he hurts girls like
you for fun," he told her. " He confunded you and I
don't want to know what else he did."
 " Okay stamp this in that peasize brain of yours that not even a
rat would want to feed on, I must admit that we did
have Sex, but I agreed to it," she said to him. " Read my lips Fudge,
I-agreed-to-it, and last time I checked a man has
the right to bed the women that he's planning to marry."
Their was a dead silence when those words passed. Professor McGonagall
clamped her hand over her mouth, Moody
and Tonks stared at her. She hadn't ment to pass those words but they
came out. She loved Snape and was not going
to let him end up like poor Sirius Black. Snape's mind went blank, she
had lied to save him. He knew that if Fudge
arrested a man that was about to get married, he would look bad. He
decided to play along.
 " That's right Fudge, I asked her to marry me last night, we
planned to get married as soon as possible. I didn't think
that being with the women that I planned to marry was a crime on this
planet," he snapped at him. Fudge looked at him
as though he was insane.
 " Well it seems that there was no kidnapping or stunning on
Severus part," Professor Dumbledore told him. " And since
Miss Granger here refusing to allow you to take Severus I believe that
this meeting is over, unless you want to sent
Severus to the Hospital because Miss Granger is part of his body."
Hermione gave Fudge a nasty look that reminded
him of Snape. As he looked at her and then at Professor Dumbledore
Hermione decided to do someththatthat would
shock him.
 She leaned forward and kissed him hard. Snape didn't fight the
kiss and returned it. She was wrapped up in the kiss
so much that she didn't hear Fudges next words.
 " When they come up for air tell them that I'm watching their
ever move, and if they don't get married I will arrest
Severus on those charges," he told him. " Good day." And he left, Moody
cleared his throat and with disappointment
she broke it off.
 " Good lie Granger," he growled. She looked at him with narrow
eyes.
 " Which part?" she asked. He looked at her and she smiled at him.
 " The part that your getting married," he told her."  I
never believe the charge, I can sense a Confundus charm and you didn't
one one on you."  She smiled wickedly, and Snape decided to make
the lie into the truth.
 " I want to marry her," he told him. Moody looked at him.
 " Are you mad, she is 16 years old."
 " 17," she corrected. " And I have a letter saying that I can now
do whatever I want and not get into trouble, and if
Severus wants to marry me then that's his right." Moody and Tonks
looked at him, and to make sure that they knew
that he was telling the truth he conjured a ring in midair and it slid
onto her finger. She felt happens flood her, and she
almost cried.
 " Well I hate to brake this up but we have classes in the
morning," Professor Dumbledore told them." And I need my
sleep." They all nodded and left.

 Moody pulled Snape to the side, he looked at him as though he was
the most insane person that he had ever met.
 " You better not be dragging Granger along," he told her. " Or
I'll make sure that you rot in Azkaban for the crimes that
you committed before Dumbledore gave you that second chance,
understood." Snape nodded and he let him go. Hermione
looked worried, and then they went their separate ways. This had been
one odd night.
