Chapter IV
IV"¦
You showed what needed to be shown
And I always knew what was right
I just didn\'t know that I might
Peel away and choose to see from such a different sight
---Vanessa Carlton
"How do I look?"
Draco looked up from the third magazine and his second tea. Julian was sitting beside him, talking lightly about goings on in London. The two blondes looked up, surprised at the change in the other boy. Harry sounded, well, meek, and Draco wasn't sure what to think of it when he first heard him speak.
When he looked up, he was at a loss for words.
Harry stood in a pair of chocolate boots, light tan slacks that brought out the creamy colour in this skin were hugging his legs. The dark forest green turtleneck had threads of gold in it, bringing out the glow in his emerald eyes even though they were slightly lowered beneath his lashes. The girls had been good to their word and his black hair had been brushed until it shone, the fine strands left to cling to the fibres of the top.
He was wringing his hands together, his eyes lowered and his cheeks flushed.
By Merlin, Draco gaped, the beautiful boy was actually nervous! Blushing like a virgin on her wedding day. Draco tried not to snicker at the image of Harry in a dress.
Julian stood in one smooth movement, circling Harry, the beautiful man running his eyes over Harry's twitching form. He finished his circle so that he was facing Draco, smiling at the other blonde he wrapped his arms around Harry's shoulders, resting his chin on his shoulder so that their cheeks were pressed together. Draco could not deny the fact that they made quite the delectable image, but he wasn't about to let Julian get any funny ideas, especially considering the way Harry shuddered within his touch.
"Julian," he said his name warningly and Julian stepped back, hands up in surrender. Draco then stood, walking up to Harry. He lifted the other teen's face so he could look into those full emerald eyes. And he smiled, drawing a smile from Harry as well. "Perfect," he purred softly.
"We'll take this set, Julian," the blonde looked to the other man.
"Very good, Master Malfoy," his smile bright, "shall I send the bill to your father?"
"Thank you, that would be most appreciated. Come on, Potter, lets get you home."
Draco was already out the door before Harry caught up with him. "Malfoy, this must cost a fortune."
"Yes," the blonde was still walking down the street, where he was headed, Harry still wasn't sure.
"Well, why wouldn't you let me pay for it? It's not like I don't have the money to do it." Draco rolled his eyes and kept walking. "Malfoy?"
"Look, Potter," Draco turned in the busy street. "This isn't about the money, all right." Harry was taken back by the soft tone of voice. "It's just-" he was at a loss, how did you explain it to someone who couldn't possibly understand. "It's just the way we are, Potter!"
Harry blinked. "We?"
"My Father and I. You have to admit you looked pretty horrid in those jeans."
"Yeah, well," Harry didn't seem all that impressed.
"Look, if it makes you feel better you can pay me back later, all right?" Draco sighed.
"Okay," Harry smiled, "thanks, Draco."
His sudden smile was the first genuine one Harry had seen Draco give him. "You know, you've never called me "˜Draco' before."
It was true, in all the seven years they'd known each other, Harry had never used his first name. "Well you've never called me "˜Harry' before, it's about time we found something new to do to each other."
Draco's grin actually made Harry blush. He led the dark haired teen into an alleyway and to an old tire. He placed a hand on it, indicating for Harry to do the same as he got out his wand. The tire hummed with magic, a portkey.
"Here's to new experiences between the two of us Potter," he smirked as they disappeared from London city.
