Recently: Hermione was greeted by Narcissa and received the news she was pureblood. Narcissa rushed her to the Malfoy Manor. She then gave Hermione and Draco a portkey that brought them to a small house in a forest. Draco fell into a hole and broke his ankle and wand.

I know I am updating a lot, I'm just trying to get the story going for you guys. Don't forget to tell me what you guys think so far.

Draco was freezing. He knew when night fell it would become a more serious issue. He had no wand to produce a heating spell. This hole was trapping no heat whatsoever. He wondered if Hermione even knew he had been gone all day. And if so would she even come look for him?

The sun was almost below the horizon. Draco wasn't back yet. Had he left? Could he really not stand to be around her that much that he was willing to leave? Oh well. If so she didn't care. But what if he got lost? What if he was in trouble? She had a weird feeling all day. Maybe she should look for him. But where should she start?

She decided to look for Draco. She would start beyond the pond because she had spotted a small, slightly over grown path behind it the day before. Now it looked like most of the brush had been cleared. This was a good sign. Hopefully Draco had been the one that came through here.

She had been walking down the path for what felt like a good 45 minutes. It was dark now. She had lit the top of her wand and cast a heating spell around herself 15 minutes ago. She decided to stop and rest. She contemplated turning back but stopped when she thought she heard what sounded like a scream. She shot up and started running down the path, shooting brush away with her wand. She barely had time to come to a stop when she came across a wide hole in the around. She shot a light spell into the hole and discovered it was pretty deep. As she walked around to investigate it, she saw Draco pushed against the wall of the hole. She called his name but he didn't answer. She levitated herself down into the hole and ran to Draco.

Draco was so cold.. He felt sleepy. He saw a blinding light but couldn't pick his head up to see who or what made it. He thought he heard someone call his name. He saw someone run to him and shake him but he couldn't respond. He wanted to yell. But nothing came out. He was so sleepy. He felt the figure put his head in their hands. They were warm. He could hear them calling his name, yelling his name. They grabbed him and pulled him to his feet. Suddenly he felt suspended in the air. He couldn't stay awake any longer.

When he woke, he looked around. He was in the house with a fire lit in front of him. He was laying on the couch with multiple blankets wrapped around him. How had he gotten here? He could not remember. He sat up and saw Hermione laying on the floor, asleep. He was starving. He pushed the blankets off of him and swung his legs off the couch. When he stepped down a sharp pain went up his leg. He yelped. Hermione's head shot up. He suddenly remembered what had happened. How much of it was true? Where was his wand? He suddenly felt sick. Had Hermione been his savior the night before?

He saw Hermione get up and go to the kitchen. She came back with a mug and a bowl. She sat it in front of him. It looked like hot chocolate and some sort of soup. He looked back up at Hermione. Why was she doing this for him?

"Don't worry about it. I thought you would be hungry. You didn't eat all day yesterday. I don't know how much you remember but when I found you, you were suffering from hypothermia," Hermione said, almost sympathetically.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you helping me? I wouldn't help you," Draco said. He could see rage in Hermione's eyes as he said this.

"Don't get used to it. And I suggest you not try to walk on your own, your ankle is broken," she shot back. "Next time you decide to go walking through the woods alone and fall into a hole, don't count on me, prick." She stormed out of the room.

How dare he? He has the nerve to say things like that when he is at her mercy? He has no wand and his bloody ankle is broken! She had saved his damn life! What a prat. Let's see how long until he is begging her to help him. What a bloody fool. He can't even feed himself!

                                XXX

Later that night Draco was already regretting speaking out to Hermione. He really needed to think before he spoke. He had been laying on the couch all day. He found his wand snapped in half. He was helpless without Hermione. He knew he would have to apologize. The fire had died and he was honestly very hungry again. But he really had not the slightest idea how to cook. He had eaten out of a can the other day but he had his damned wand to open it. He had nothing now. He hated knowing he was going to see that smug look on Granger's face as he asked for her help. She would love that.

"Granger!" He called. She didn't reply. He called again but still she didn't come, or call back. He got to his feet and hopped the distance to the bedroom. He propped himself on the doorframe and saw Hermione with her nose in a book. She looked up when she noticed him in the door.

"What the bloody hell do you want, Malfoy?" she spat. He was already ready regretting coming in here and considered turning around and starving. But he couldn't do that. He was really going to have to suck up.

"I just wanted to apologize for earlier. I just didn't understand why would would come save me, or even look for me. You hate me. I know you think I'm a prat but I really need your help," he forced the words out of his mouth. He didn't look at her when he said this. That's the last thing he wanted to see. Her smug face knowing he was at her mercy.

A smile snuck across Hermione's face. Draco Malfoy having to eat his words. She wasn't going to make this easy for him.

"What if I don't accept? I should let you starve, Malfoy." This would be fun. She loved teasing him.

"Granger I know what I said and I'm really sorry. I truly need you help." He looked into her eyes when he said this. It was sincere. He saw the smile fade off of her face. She couldn't resist helping him. She wasn't a cruel person.

She sat up and put her book down beside her bed. She walked up to Draco and gestured for him to put his weight on her, to help him walk. Draco didn't like touching Hermione but knew he couldn't be rude again. He was already pushing his luck. He leaned against her and hopped to his bed. He sat down and Hermione brought him pillows to prop his foot up. She left again and came back with food. Draco devoured it while Hermione watched him.

Hermione watched Draco eat the food she brought him. He really would be quite handsome if he wasn't such a prat. Too bad. She turned to walk away, ready to go to sleep. Draco could set the dishes aside when he was done. She would take care of it in the morning. She crawled into bed and pulled the covers around her head. She drifted off..

That night she dreamed of a boy with dark hair. He was beautiful. But every time she tried to approach him, he would disappear. She would look around to find him, waiting for her. Looking at her. Only to disappear again when she advanced. She became frustrated. And this dream was beginning to turn into a night mare. She spotted him once again in a forest this time. She ran to him. When she was almost touching him, the floor fell through. She was at the bottom of a pit. She was freezing and felt helpless. The man reached for her from the opening of the hole. But he couldn't reach her. Draco appeared from no where and picked her up in his arms. Stroking her hair. She couldn't talk. She wanted to thank him. But she couldn't. She saw a snake come from behind Draco, ready to strike. She wanted to scream! Draco was going to die. Right before the snake struck Draco, she woke up. Panting and sweating she looked around. It had been just a dream. But when she closed her eyes to sleep again, she thought she saw the man in the hallway. But perhaps it was just her imagination.
