Chapter 4

Bound In Time

Chapter 4

As Thea whispered these words Lucius caught the aroma of Jasmine and he looked at her with a puzzled expression.

“Problem Mr Malfoy?” she asked silkily, thinking it was her words that had perturbed him.

“I have just realised where I might know you from at the Ministry, but I was sure…” Lucius stared at Thea trying to picture her with different hair.

With a smile Thea raised her hands to her head and unclipped her hair, letting it fall onto her shoulders like a sheet of shining black silk. Shaking her head to loosen her hair fully Lucius saw it changing from the roots to the tips. In the bright morning sunlight it looked like her hair was bursting into vivid red flames until her entire hair was the same brilliant red he had seen that day in the lobby.

“Does that help?” she smiled.

“You are a metamorphmagus?” he asked, almost nodding to himself as he did so.

Thea laughed “no…”

“Then how?”

“It is merely a glamour; I get bored…” she shrugged. “I do tend to look more ‘normal’ when I am visiting the museums.”

A ringing sound from inside the flat sounded and Thea excused herself, as she left the table and picked up an object into which she started to speak, Lucius found that he was watching her. She wore muggle clothing which this morning consisted of a tight grey vest with spaghetti straps and a pair of soft grey trousers that did not look totally dissimilar to pyjamas, but bore glittering stones across the arse which declared to the world ‘You Wish’ and Lucius found himself agreeing with the slogan, he did indeed ‘wish’.

When she came back she did not explain what the conversation had been about, she merely sat back down and Lucius realised that the conversation had actually continued in the time she was gone and he had not paid any heed whatsoever to it, when he turned to Max, his old friend was giving him a strange look, which when he saw Lucius looking, turned into a wry smile.

By the end of brunch that day Lucius found that he had barely spoken again with Thea, but she did look at him once and caught him staring at her, her response to which was to give him a cheeky wink. As he left with Max he could have happily strangled his old friend when he asked whether he might bring Lucius to Brunch again another week, once receiving an assent he turned to Lucius and said “same time next week then my friend?” to which Lucius; being surrounded and outnumbered merely nodded, he decided he would have a week to come up with a viable excuse for missing the occasion.

During the following week he caught several distant glimpses of Thea, and only once did they pass close enough for them to exchange a brief hello. Unfortunately he found himself getting closer to the weekend without his excuse for missing the brunch, and he weirdly felt little inclination to come up with one.

So the following Saturday he found himself once again sitting down to brunch with the eclectic bunch of wizards and witches who resided in Croft House. Conversation flowed easily through the group. Lucius was disappointed to find he was not sitting next to Thea this week, but he was sitting opposite her, which could be the undoing of him…

Picking up a piece of hot buttery toast and taking a bite, Lucius found his attention was drawn towards Thea again, he was unable to take his eyes from her as she picked up a strawberry and brought it up to her lips before taking a small bite and letting her tongue slip between her lips to lick the strawberry juice from the plump flesh, she was not quite fast enough though and a small trickle of juice ran down her chin.

Raising a finger she wiped the errant juice from her face and slipped her finger into her mouth to clean the juice from it. Lucius let out a moan which turned the attention of the entire table towards him and he tried to cover the moan with a fake coughing fit as he put the piece of toast back on the plate.

Thea smiled to herself as she watched Lucius, his eyes seemed to change from a silver grey to a pale blue as she met his gaze, letting her gaze drop lower towards his mouth where she found his lips glistening with butter from the toast he had been eating. She could not take her eyes from his lips and was wondering just how they would taste as he ran his tongue across his lower lip she felt a familiar twitch deep inside her, she knew then that she wanted him.

As the brunch came to a close Thea mentioned she was going to go into London to do some shopping and Lucius turned to see who had spoken when he heard a voice say that they too desired to go shopping and wondered if they might accompany her. He could not work out who had spoken until he saw the knowing expression on Max’s face…

“I would like that Mr Malfoy; however I am going, ummm…” Thea looked at Lucius “I am going muggle shopping; I really do not think that would be your scene.”

“Muggle shopping?” he enquired.

“Yes, I will visit muggle stores, buy muggle clothing and cosmetics”

“I cannot say it is something I have ever done before, are there… benefits … to muggle stores of which I am not aware?”

“Oh yes” Thea smiled “muggles have managed without magic and some of their creations are pretty amazing, I adore muggle clothing, some of the designers are amazing, maybe you should try them someday…” she challenged.

Lucius looked thoughtful for a moment “maybe today should be that day…” he replied, levelling his gaze upon her, obviously relishing the challenge.

As the rest of the diners left Thea started to clear the table, she was just loading the dishwasher with plates when she felt someone behind her. Standing upright she saw it was Lucius.

Standing right behind her, he was staring unashamedly at her arse, which was today clad in denim. She was definitely ‘larger’ than his ex wife had been, but she was all woman, Narcissa had a skinny body which could never have filled a pair of – he wondered what the trousers she wore were called – like Thea did, he had the urge to reach out and grasp her arse, but then she stood up.

Turning Thea held out her hands for the plates he held and scraped them into the bin before stacking them into the dishwasher with the others. Seeing the look of puzzlement on Lucius’ face she said “it’s a dishwasher, it washes….”

“Dishes?” he replied with a sardonic raise of an eyebrow.

“Yes, it is another way that muggles get by without magic; it saves them time and energy. We leave it running now and when I come back later the dishes will be clean, dry and ready to put away.”

“Hmmm…” Lucius mused “I never really thought about it, but I supposed muggles can be somewhat inventive, I wonder if this is the appeal Arthur Weasley finds with muggle items.”

After a quick clean up in the kitchen Thea excused herself to what he presumed was the bedroom to change, barely minutes later she walked into the room wearing a chocolate coloured suede skirt which fell in wide box pleats to just above her knees, her legs were clad in chocolate opaque tights and she wore chocolate suede boots which reached her knees. As he was beginning to realise was signature of hers the heels on the boots were small pointed kitten heels which matched the pointed toe of the boots. Lucius would feel terribly sorry for anyone who received a kick from such boots.

Letting his eyes move back up her body his eyes fell on the neckline of her blouse, it was like nothing he had seen before, it was cream and had three-quarter length sleeves and the main body of the blouse wrapped around her body to tie at the waist, thus causing the fabric to drape around her breasts leaving an extremely low neckline … Lucius grudgingly realised he had a grudging admiration for muggle designers after all.

Stepping in front of the mirror Thea looked thoughtful, running her hands through her hair changing it to a deep glossy chestnut brown. Smiling at her reflection satisfied she turned to Lucius.

“Now what should we do with you…” it was more of a rhetorical question than an actual question. Looking at Lucius critically “ok, the robes have to go, take it off please.”

“I beg your pardon…” Lucius hissed, obviously not used to following orders, especially from a woman.

“Mr Malfoy, I think I know more about muggle attire than you, now please, remove your robes if you wish to escort me.”

Thea stood and watched the easy grace of his movements as he grumbled under his breath and begrudgingly removed his long black robes. Beneath he wore a pair of well cut black trousers, a white shirt, black waistcoat and obviously expensive shoes.

Enjoying his discomfort somewhat she smiled and said “the waistcoat too please”

Lucius looked annoyed, “if you think for one minute that I am going to undress in front of you and humiliate myself you are greatly mistaken!” he hissed.

“Oh do stop complaining Mr Malfoy and trust me”

Glaring at her for a moment Lucius finally relented and removed the waistcoat.

Casting an appraising eye over his attire once more, Thea was satisfied he would pass as a muggle, albeit an extremely handsome one.

“You look ok now”

“Ok?” Lucius hissed “Ok… I am almost bloody naked!”

Thea tried not to smile as she thought to herself ‘I wish’

“Mr Malfoy, this is more than decent, and you will not draw too much attention dressed this way” ‘except from the women’ she mentally added.

“I think that if we are to be out in the muggle world together you should drop the formality and call me Lucius…”

“Thank you, M… Lucius” she smiled “now, some rules”

“Rules; what the bloody hell….”

“1….” She pressed on regardless “no wand – of course can take it with you, I would never ask you to go unarmed – but you will not show or draw your wand!”

“That makes sense I suppose” he conceded to that one point.

“2. No rudeness, snobbishness, or teasing the muggles, and do not call them muggles!”

“Another sensible rule” he agreed grudgingly.

“3. Try to watch what you say…”

“Try to what?” Lucius spat out “I will not censor myself for fucking muggles!”

“I am not asking you to censor yourself Mr M… Lucius – I meant try not to mention ‘our’ world, spells and such.”

Lucius looked thoughtful for a while “I agree to your terms….” Gesturing towards the door “shall we?”

Once outside in the lobby Lucius walked toward the fireplace. As Thea closed her door she walked toward the front door … “This way Lucius…”

“Are we not to floo there?” he asked puzzled.

“Muggle Lucius, you need to think like a muggle … here” she held out her hand in which she was holding his robes “I have transfigured them into a raincoat in case the weather turns”

Lucius took his new coat and followed outside; when she stopped at the roadside “well” she said “hop in”

“What in the name of Merlin is that?” he looked at her like she was insane.

Opening the door for him she smiled “it’s a car Lucius; get in will you…”

A/N

Well lots of people have read this but no reviews :( now this tells me:

a. the story is dreadful - stop writing it now
b. you like the story but just can't be arsed to review
c. you are a bunch of pervs who are just holding your breath waiting to get to the dirty stuff

I promise dirty stuff is coming - but this is a real story with a real plot, so I want you to know who my character is while Lucius learns the same... I hope you wont be disapointed with her

The main thing on my brain at the mo is how Lucius will cope shopping in Muggle London ;)
