Rebirth of Merlin

AN: This chapter will be involving many things. From the Month of March through July. I will be skipping around with James/Jamie/Lilly/Lucas with alittle of Albus mixed in.

By March the Potter's had been successfully moved into the Hollow. And with it Sirius Black took his place as secret keeper. James didn't really care they had left the Manor, even if the Hollow Cottage was smaller. Lilly knew that now they were closer to London that James would be out more and more. While she and the boy's stayed under the charm. Little did she know that James was not going to be a prisoner. He was already planning to leave with Jamie in tow.


The transition of the move was harder for the boy's than anyone. Lucas was beginning to become more clingy to his mother going as far as throwing large temper tantrums to refusing to eat. Which was causing Lilly to become slightly concerned. And when she spoke to her 'husband' about the change she became angry that he would just shrug and tell her to deal with it.

Jaime on the other hand was almost as bad. If James started to leave the house, he would scream. So James made the decision to take his heir with him when he needed to go out on business during the day.

As the months past rumors began to spread through out the wizarding world that Jamie's brother was dead. Due to the fact he was never seen. The Daily Prophet had inquired several times if the younger twin was infact deceased only to hit a brick wall with Lord Potter.

Tension began to run higher within the Potter household as James began to stay out through the nights. Distancing himself from his wife and Lucas. Leaving Lilly to take care of the children. She had heard of James being seen in the pubs more. He was beginning to go to the Pureblood parties alone and at time Jamie would go as well.


While Jamie had begun saying small words and his magic begin to show itself by the end of May. While the Potter's felt that was slower than normal they were happy to see him doing so anyway.

Lucas on the other hand was progressing faster, talking in full sentences in mid April and his magic constantly showing itself. While Lilly encouraged him through this James did not. And by the end of June Lucas had begun turning things emerald/gold to match his eyes. Keeping Lilly on her toes by going behind him fixing it. Which was a nightmare considering he had began walking as well.

Jamie was still in the crawling stage much to James's disappointment.

On the first of July, Lilly had gotten a shock. Lucas was sitting in the library with her when on moment he toddled up to her and said. " Ma Ma gotta go." Grabbing his bottom tightly.

Lilly gasped and picked him up in a dead run to the bathroom. Once there she took off his trousers/diaper placing him on the toilet. Lucas grunted once he was being held over what he demend 'The Eater'. Consentrating while his mama held him in place.

Lilly was exstatic while she held her baby in place. She couldn't believe that Lucas wanted to potty train this early. She heard her boy's voice snapping out of her thoughts.

" Ma Ma done." Stated Lucas loud enough to get his mother's attention to remove him and clean his bottom.

Picking him up Lilly laid him upon the gold rug in the floor. After he was clean again she grabbed a diaper only to have it snatched out of her hand by Lucas with a defiant "NO!" as he plopped down on the floor trying to replace his trousers.

" Lucas-angel please let me. What if we don't make it next time. Wear a diaper until I can get some pull-ups from the market." Lilly pleaded softly.

Lucas looked at his mother with a frown. He didn't want that thing back on his bottom.
"When get ups?"

" Today angel, I'll owl order some in today." She said with a sigh, waving the diaper in front of Lucas.

Smiling Lucas laided down to let her replace the diaper. Causing Lilly to giggle at his antics. Once he was dressed, Lucas grabbed her hand pulling her out of the bathroom and down the hall.

" Where are we going Lucas?"

" Order up Ma Ma, Order ups!" Lucas stated in a commanding voice, while still pulling her in the same direction. She just sighed and aloud him to continue leading her into the study.

After their order was place, she picked Lucas up and carried him back to the Library so they could begin reading a story. Forgetting to tell James about the order and the triumph with the toilet.

{HOGWARTS HEADMASTER'S OFFICE}

Albus was going over the applicants for a new DADA Professor when his door opened reveiling James/Jaime Potter. He had heard some of the rumors about Lucas being dead. And he understood why they were voicing it for James was only with Jamie in public.

" James why are you taking Jamie everywhere you go?"

James looked at Albus in confusion. Nothing had happened while they were in meetings. And the house was under the charm so Lilly/Lucas were safe he thought with a snarl.

" Why not, he's my heir Albus and as such needs to be in the public eye often."

Albus raised a eyebrow, while getting up to move around the desk to stand infront of the two. " James the rumors are still flying around about Lucas being dead. Where is he nobody has seen him or Lilly since February?"

" Where he always is Albus with his Ma Ma." James growled out in anger.

Albus had to step back some at the bitterness James displayed toward the child.
" Be that as it may, James I just want you all protected. So on a lighter note what brings you here today?"

James smiled warmly at the change of subject not noticing Albus's contemplating gaze.
" I wanted you to come by the cottage on Jamie's birthday and change the secret keeper. Sirius and I decided that Peter would be less of a target. Now that Voldemort is stepping up his attacks. Also wanted to see if you'd test Jamie's magic."

Albus didn't like how James had been acting these past several months. And now he wanted his secret keeper change. Oh he didn't miss that Lilly wouldn't know about the change until it happened. He said nothing just moved to his desk and unlocked a drawer pulling out a large quartz crystal. " This will test your son's magic all he must do it touch it."

James puched Jamie toward the desk. As his little hands touched it the color turned into a dark blue. Albus watched the boy in silence. When the color turned he thought'Dark Blue,
above average' thats good for almost one. " Dark Blue as of now James, your son is above average in magic. It will only grow as he does."

James thanked him before taking Jamie and leaving.

" Well Fawkes is he Merlin reborn?"

Fawkes flew over to Albus's desk and looked at the man in the eyes, telepathicaly stating
< No Albus, he is just another above average magical child> before flying out toward the forest.

" That's what I was starting to think as well my friend." Sighing as he watched his companion fly out.
