I'd Rather Be Drunk

"Aleina, that was bloody brilliant!" Ron exclaimed as they made their way back to the Gryffindor common room. "I mean, even Harry hasn't acted like that in forever."

Aleina laughed and let her long brown wavy hair fall from the messy pony tail it was in from earlier. Her hair fell half way down her back and bounced with every step that she took. Once inside the common room, Aleina drop her bag from her shoulders and plopped down on the nearest couch.

"I personally don't think that any of that was necessary." Hermione chimed in. Harry and Ron look at her inquisitively. It was always necessary to piss Snape off...always! Aleina didn't seem to notice what Hermione had said. she was too busy applying some eyeliner on herself while holding a compact mirror in front of her face. Hermione sighed in disapproval. "After all, Aleina, you are failing. I hate to be the one to break it to you but as I see it, there is no way for you to pass this year...unless you do some serious ass kissing...which I don't see happening." Hermione stated before hoisting her bag onto her shoulder and storming off to the girls dorms.

"What the bloody hell was that all about Aleina?" Ron asked, still shocked by Hermiones reaction. "You're not actually failing are you?"

Aleina tried to avoid the question. Because as a matter of fact, she was failing. She was failing every class except for Transfiguration. She knew that there was much time to bring her grades up and she knew that it would be damn near impossible even if she did try. At Aiden's Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the American school Aleina had attended, the teachers were very easily 'persuaded' to pass a student. And she took full advantage of that. But here at Hogwarts, things weren't so easy.

"Well actually, Ron, I'm not doing so well." She offered with an uneasy look upon her face. Ron seemed to be more shocked by finding out that Hermione was right.

"But how? You're incredibly smart." Harry said with concern in his voice. Since their 5th year, Harry had developed a crush on Aleina. To him, she was perfect. Brains and beauty all in one. For sometime now, he's been trying to gather the confidence to ask her out, but still has yet to do it.

"Thank you Harry, but, it's just that...oh you wouldn't understand anyway. Can we please talk about this another time?" Aleina asked. Unsatisfied with Aleina's response Harry looked away and walked towards the nearest window. He began to pace back in forth in front of the window for quite sometime. "Whatever Harry, I don't need this. Not now, and definitley not from you. I wish all three of you would just give me some privacy and let me figure out things on my own!" Aleina stammered.

Taken aback by her own reaction, Aleina felt quite embarrassed that she had just yelled at one of her best friends. Not only is Hermione mad at her but now Harry is too. What else could go wrong today?

"Fine if thats the way you want it! Gods Aleina you're such a bitch. None of us would have made it this far if we hadn't been in each others business. Thats what friends are for!" He yelled. In the past years, she had never heard Harry speak to her in such a way. "You need to open your eyes and realize that there is someone right in front of you who genuinely cares about you, but keep doing the shit that you're doing...and no one will be around." He said and stormed off towards the boys dorms.

Ron looked at her, clearly confused as to what just happened. Aleina passed him a glance which she intended to read as just-leave-me-alone. He got the hint and rose from the chair he was sitting in.

"I'll see you at dinner Aleina." He said. And then she was all alone.

'What am I doing?' she thought to herself. She buried her head in her hands and just felt like crying. 'I can't take this anymore'

Dinner began with a very awkward silence. Ron was trying to make conversation but no one seemed interested in talking. Aleina still very upset from the events that had occurred just a few hours ago, was twirling her mashed potatoes around in a cyclone with a fork. She had barely eaten anything. she just had absolutely no energy to do anything. Detention tonight was going to be horrible.

"Aleina, don't make this obvious but, it seems like Professor Snape keeps staring at you," Hermione said quietly. Aleina looked at her then back down to her plate full of food.

"Yea, ok." Was Aleina's only response.

"I'm serious!" she said a little more loudly this time, with more urgency in her voice. Harry peered up to the head table and in fact saw Snape staring brutally at Aleina. The malicious look in his eyes was undeniable.

"Never mind it Hermione, Aleina doesn't want us in her business." HArry stated flatly. Hermione thought at first that he was just being stupid but when she saw the cold expression on Harry's face she realized that something had happened after she departed earlier. Aleina threw Harry a dirty look and then peered up to the Head Table to see for herself. And in fact, Snape was glaring in her direction. It was hard to tell if it was directly at her.

"I'm sorry." Aleina said as she gathered herself and walked quickly and quietly out of the Great Hall. With a half hour left until her detention began, Aleina ran outside and to the edge of the forbidden forest. She pulled a pack of menthol cigarettes from her robe pocket and quickly lit one. After finishing her cigarette, Aleina felt a little more calmed down as she made her way for the dungeons for the first of three detentions this weekend.

Before knocking on the door Aleina checked her make up one more time and straightened out the red tank top she wore with a pare of muggle jeans. The shirt, she thought accentuated the gentle curves of her body. With her hair falling wildy down her shoulders, she looked very becoming. She knocked.

"Enter." Snapes voice called. Aleina breathed and slowly pushed open the heavy dungeon door. He was sitting at his normal place behind his desk. His head bent over some parchment. He didn't even look up to acknowledge her presence. "Close the door."

She did so and began to walk to the of the classroom. When she reached the front of his desk, Snape finally looked up. And he was very surprised with what he saw. Aleina Tempest standing in front of him wearing a very sexy red tank top. To his surprise he could see her large breasts were very round and lifted high. He let his eyes trail down her body, following her delicious curves, and he stopped at her waist. Her hair was no longer pulled back, but laid gently against her neck and shoulders. He felt himself get aroused, and quickly thought of something to say.

"So, Miss Tempest, I see that you are not having a pleasant evening." He said, still letting his eyes look at her up and down. she shifted her weight uneasily as she saw him gander at her body. He was used to seeing her in a bulky school robe, and never had imagined that she looked so delicious.

Aleina thought about Snapes latest statement before deciding what to say in return.

‘How could he possibly know what my day has been like?’ she thought to herself. She hadn’t even said one word to him

“Well, to be perfectly honest it would be much better if I were drunk right about now.” She replied with a shrug. And that was complete honesty. After her incident when she was 14, she turned to alcohol as an escape when times got hard. Snape’s eyebrows raised up in surprise.

‘Perfect’ He thought to himself.
