Chp. 4
Hi everyone. I'm sorry for taking so long with this chapter. My mom had to go into the hospital so I haven't had the time to update but hopefully I'll get another couple of chapters up soon. On another note I just wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful reviews. Please keep them coming.

Peering through the cracked door Harry watched as the doctor removed the bandages covering a wound on his cousins shoulder. As the doctor continued her examination of the rest of her wounds she began speaking to the woman lying in the hospital bed.
"Well Miss. Kincaid you are very lucky that you made it to the hospital when you did. We've stitched up the worst of the claw marks and treated the bites. Now all there is to do is decide whether or not you wish to receive the lycanthrope injection." "No." "Excuse me?" He heard the nurse ask as she disposed of the used bandages. "I don't want to receive the shot. There's a chance that even with the shot that I would contract a form of lycanthrope. So please no shots. Just let me heal so I can go home." "Alright Miss. Kincaid. Since you won't be receiving the lycanthrope shot you'll be able to go home in a day or two, once we make sure your wounds do not become infected. But for now I would advice you to rest for a Federal Marshall will be by soon to take your statement about the attack." Without waiting for a reply Harry watched as the doctor made a few notes on his cousins charts and left the room, not even bothering to look at him as she walked past him down the hall.
'No wonder she wants to go home, if this is the way they treat someone who has just been attacked.' he thought to himself as he pushed the door open and stepped inside. Leaving the door slightly cracked he walked over to the end of the hospital bed and came face to face with his cousin for the first time. She was about 5'5" tall with hazel eyes set in an attractive heart shaped face. That was framed by curly dark brown hair that came to just below her shoulders. "It was his cousins sarcastic "Are you done staring at me?" that stopped his exploration of her features. "I'm sorry....I was just...." he began only to be cut off in mid sentence. "What do you want?" she asked trying to sit up a little straighter on the bed, which was hard to do without aggravating her wounds.
My name is Harry, I'm your cousin and I've come to make sure that you were alright." he answered as he went and retrieved the small rooms only chair. Pulling it closer to the bed he sat down. "I know who you are but why are you here now?" she demanded angrily as she took in the sight of the cousin that her family had heard nothing from in years. "Why are you angry with me?" he asked confusion written all over his face. "Why am I angry with you?" She thundered. "Well for one thing my parents had been trying to write to you since you started to attend school, but none of the letters they've written have ever been answered. They have all been returned unopened and..."
Standing once more Harry pulled the letter about her attack from his back pocket and tossed it to her. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. "Returned? What do you mean returned? I have never received a single letter from you or your parents. Hell for that matter I didn't even know that you existed until I received that letter by owl the other day! Taking a deep breath Harry paced the small room anxiously waiting while she unfolded and read the letter he had tossed her.
Once she was finished reading she refolded the letter and sat it beside her on the bed before turning to look at her cousin again. "So you truly have never heard about any of our letters?" she asked a look of bewilderment on her face. "No I did not and still have not." he tried to assure her as the door to the room was pushed open to reveal a petite woman on the other side.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything but I'm Federal Marshall Anita Blake and I need to speak with you. Miss Kincaid." the woman added with a pointed look at Harry. Harry took a step closer to his cousins bedside as he felt the magic emanating from the petite woman standing in front of them. It just screamed Necromancer. Not wanting to alarm her with his dislike for that particular branch of magic he quietly stood by her side. Eyes alert for even the smallest evidence that the woman was going to harm her.
Noticing the way her cousin was looking at the Marshall Evelyn cleared her throat bringing his attention back to her. "I'm afraid Miss Blake that anything you have to say can be said in front of my cousin or not at all. Either way the choice is yours." Harry barely suppressed a smile at the surprised expression that flitted across the Marshals face before it was hidden behind a blank expression. A face he knew well and had used for a countless number of years leading up to his defeat of Voldemort. He could tell that the woman wanted him to leave that for some reason he was making her uncomfortable. While he was sorry about that he wasn't leaving his cousin alone in the same room with the woman. Not if he could help it.
