Mail Call

Chapter 4 Mail Call

The Dark Lord Stalked quickly to his personal study and unwarded the door. He was the only being allowed in here. No house elf or Death Eater had ever boast about seeing the inside of this room, and for a very good reason. This was the room that held the Dark Lord’s secrets.
He sat down quickly at his cedar desk and looked at the picture that graced it. The photo was one of Kore when she was ten years old right before he went away to Hogworts. She was holding her books closely and her bushy hair was blowing whiskey colored strands across her face and she smiled up at him. It was one photo he had taken before he left and he still treasured it. It was the last time he had ever seen his little sister and he longed for nothing more than to have her here with him.
TMR. Snape said the letters were addressed to TMR. Only one person EVER addressed him by that. Only one person had EVER dared to address him so. The letters had to be letters from Kore. He hoped they would tell him where she was he missed her so… but the family tree in the parlor showed the date of her death plainly.
Voldemort looked up from the picture in his hand and called for Snape to enter. To his surprise Snape was carrying a small case with him. He set the case down on the center of the desk.
“My Lord, I have brought you the original letters as you requested and left the copies I made at the school.”
Snape kept talking but Voldemort was no longer listening he had opened the case and picked up the first letter.

Dear TMR,
I have given up hope of ever seeing you again. But I must confess to missing you dreadfully. Since you graduated from Hogworts I don’t even get to see you that often somehow the enchantment on this room that is my prison will not allow me to see as much of you as I have in the past seven years.
I am avoiding as much thought today as I can. I am so scared. I will give birth soon and I am not allowed a midwife or mediwitch or a nurse to help me. I worry over my little girl. Yes I am goanna be a mum! Its unreal isn’t it. But I see trouble… she will never be the happy baby I always dreamed of; because I fear I won’t live long after she is born. You use to joke that I had the sight Mamma use to talk about as we were young but I think I may actually have it… I know you shall never meet my daughter and it saddens me greatly that she shall not know that she comes from the loins of the Slytherin house or that her last name should be Riddle.
But you shall see the child of my child. Sephonie (that is what I have taken to calling my baby girl after Persephone the goddess of the seasons and wife of Hades quite fitting I think) shall grow and have a daughter as well. And her you shall meet. I want you to take care of her for she is the key to bringing down the bearded bastard. He will try to kill her if he knows it grandchild or not. Promise me
