Professor Umbridge

Harry Lestrange, Draco Malfoy, Fred and George Snape sat once more on the train to Hogwarts with Orgullo, Verde, Rojo and Crimson. During the twins 4th year, Severus Snape had asked them if he could adopt them. Needless to say all three were very happy, and became one huge family.

During their first year the boys had discovered the Sorceress Stone, but Professor Quill had knocked it out of Harry's hands. The Stone shattered on the ground, and some of its shards had embedded into the Familiars.

Second year Ginny Weasley had committed suicide down in the Chambers of Secret. The basilisk was still alive, and continued to guard its secrets. Tom Riddle came back, and retained his youth along with his body and soul...

Third year Sirius Black escaped Azkaban, and explained everything to Harry who accepted Sirius as his Godfather still. Peter Pettigrew was sent to Azkaban, and given the Kiss. Sirius was currently residing within the Lestrange Manor.

Fourth year Fred and George entered the TriWizarding Tournament and won. Cedric died at the last stage when he failed to answer the riddle correctly. It was then announced that Lord Voldemort had returned, but, of course, no one paid attention.

It was Harry's and Draco's Fifth year and Fred and George's Sixth year, and they felt this year would be a pain in the ass.

~I have a feeling I am going to hate pink a lot very soon,~ Orgullo mumbled, cleaning himself.

"How come Orgullo?" Draco asked.

~I dunno, just do.~

~~

In the Great Hall, the four Slytherin boys sat down, and began to talk about one thing or another. Orgullo was sitting on the table, watching the teachers until he spotted something queer.

~I found the reason why I hate pink now,~ Orgullo spoke, his left eye twitching. The boys looked up, and saw the ugliest woman ever to be born into existence. She was squat, with short, curly mouse-brown hair in which she placed a horrible pink Alice band that matched the fluffy pink cardigan she wore over her robes. She took a sip of her goblet and he saw a pallid, toadlike face and a pair of promising pouchy eyes.

"Dolores Umbridge," Harry whispered, silently wondering how he knew this woman, but never met her. He pushed the thought back into his mind, just thinking he probably saw her and read her name somewhere before. He felt intense hatred for this woman, but why? He felt the urge to whip that smirk off of her face, and squeeze the life out of her. He wanted to see her dead. But, why?

"Harry, mate, are you alright?" Fred questioned, about to slap Harry if he didn't return to reality. Harry shook his head than nodded. The doors burst open, and there was Professor McGonagall leading the first years carrying that familiar stool and Sorting Hat. Time passed before everyone was settled down.

The Sorting Hat, on its stool, opened its brim, and once more, began to sing.

In times of old when I was new
And Hogwarts barely started
The founders of our noble school
Thought never to be parted:
United by a common goal,
They had the selfsame yearning,
To make the world's best magic school
And pass along their learning
"Together we will build and teach!"
The four good friends decided
And never did they dream that they
Might someday be divided,
For were there such friends anywhere
As Slytherin and Gryffindor?
Unless it was the second pair
Of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw?
So how could it have gone so wrong?
How could such friendships fail?
Why, I was there and so can tell
The whole sad, sorry tale.
Said Slytherin, "We'll teach just those
Whose ancestry is purest."
Said Ravenclaw, "We'll teach those whose
Intelligence is surest."
Said Gryffindor, "We'll teach those
With brave deeds to their name,"
Said Hufflepuff, "I'll teach the lot,
And treat them just the same."
These differences caused little strife
When they first came to light,
For each of the four founders had
A House in which they might
Take only those they wanted, so,
Took only pure-blood wizards
Of great cunning, just like him,
And only those of sharpest minds
Were taught by Ravenclaw
While the bravest and the boldest
Went to daring Gryffindor,
Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest,
And taught them all she knew,
Thus the Houses and their founders
So Hogwarts worked in harmony
For several happy years
But then discord crept among us
Feeding on our faults and fears
The Houses that, like pillars four,
had once held up our school,
Now turned upon each other and,
Divided, sought to rule.
And for a while it seemed the school
Must meet an early end,
What with dueling and with fighting
And the clash of friend on friend
And at last there came morning
When old Slytherin departed
And though the fighting then died out
He left us quiet downhearted.
For never since the founders four
Were wittled down to three
Have the Houses been united
As they once were meant to be
And now the Sorting Hat is here
And you all know the score:
I sort you into Houses
Because that is what I'm for,
But this year I'll go further,
Listen closely to my song:
Though condemned I am to split you
Still I worry that it's wrong
Though I must fulfill my duty
Still I wonder whether sorting
May not bring the end I fear
Oh, know the perils, read the signs.
The warning history shows,
For our Hogwarts is in danger
For external, deadly foes
And we must unite inside her
Or we'll crumble from within
I have told you, I have warned you . . . .
Let the Sorting begin.

Everyone applause when it was over, and whispered amongst each other.

"Wonder what it could mean though," Draco whispered to George. Everyone stopped and the first years were sorted into the Houses. Dumbledore gave a small speech than sat down, food appearing on the tables. Everyone, starving to death, grabbed the food, and began eating. After a few minutes, Albus stood up again. He began with the rules, and what Mr. Filch needed to say.

"We have had two changed in staffing this year. We are very pleased to welcome back Professor Grubbly-Plank, who will be taking Care of Magical Creatures lessons; we are also delighted to introduce Professor Umbridge, our New Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." No one clapped. "Tryouts for the House Quidditch teams will take place on the ----" He broke off, looking inquiringly at Professor Umbridge. As she was not much taller standing than sitting, there was a moment when nobody understood why Dumbledore had stopped talking, but then Professor Umbridge said, "Hem, hem," and it became clear that she had got to her feet ad was intending to make a speech.

Dumbledore only looked taken aback for a moment, then he sat back down smartly and looked alertly at Professor Umbridge as though he desired nothing better than to listen to her talk. Personally, nobody would. Other members of the staff were not as adept at hiding their surprise. Professor Sprout's eyebrows had disappeared into her flyaway hair, and Professor McGonagall's mouth was as thin as anyone had ever seen it. No new teacher had EVER interrupted Dumbledore before. Many of the students were smirking; this woman obviously did not know how things were done at Hogwarts.

"Thank you Headmaster," Professor Umbridge simpered, "for those kind words of welcome." Nobody clapped. Who would for this woman? Her voice was high-pitched, breathy, and little-girlish. Orgullo was being held back by Draco who wanted to slap that ugly thing. "Well, let's lovely to be back at Hogwarts, I must say! And to see such happy little faces!" She was joking, right? Amongst the loud was the faces of 'WTF!?' She was addressing them as though they were five-year olds! "I am very much looking forward to getting to know you all, and I'm sure we'll be very good friends." Again, joking, right? Draco released Orgullo who skillfully and sneakily snuck up to the teacher's table. She cleared her voice, sounding more businesslike than before. "The Ministry of Magic has always considered the education of young witches and wizards to be of vital importance. The rare gifts with which you were born may come to nothing if not nurtured and honed by careful instruction. The ancient skills unique to the Wizarding community must be passed down through the generation lest we lose them forever. The treasure trove of magical knowledge amassed by our ancestors must be guarded, replenished, and polished by those who have been called to the noble profession of teaching."

~Will you shut the fuck up already?!~ Orgullo shouted from his spot on the table in front of her. Professor Umbridge peered down, and saw a white ferret about a foot tall wearing dark sunglasses?

"What did you say little one?" she asked, her eye twitching.

~Can't you hear? I said SHUT THE FUCK UP!~ Everyone in the Great Hall was silent, and did not move (I think they all wanted to see what was going to happen).

"Now, little one--"

~Little one? Lady, uh Sir, or whatever the fuck you are, my name is The Great Orgullo, and don't you forget it!~

"Now, now, stop being rude."

~Rude? The only thing rude is your face! Why do you think I'm wearing sunglasses? To look good?! Well, I am very good-looking.~ The whole Great Hall burst into laughter, even Severus Snape. The Headmaster couldn't even over his laughing.

"See here, that is very rude."

~No shit, I ain't trying to be polite. What the hell are you anyway? You have no boobs, so you can't be a woman, and I doubt you even have a vagina.~ More laughter until Snape was in tears from laughing so hard. Suddenly, Dolores grabbed The Great Orgullo by the neck, and glared hatefully down at him. The Hall went silent and Draco stood up from his spot. Nobody harmed his Familiar, nobody. His eyes glimmered a dark blue, meaning he was pissed.

"Listen here you little thing, you are beneath me, and I am above you, you will obey me or you will get skinned."

Suddenly, Draco side-kicked the 'woman' in the face, causing her to release Orgullo, and Draco catch his Familiar.

"Touch him again, and I will have you arrested on Familiar Abuse," Draco warned, jumping off of the teacher's table, and walked back to his seat. Everyone was silent. Umbridge got up, and glared at the boy.
