The Turning of Harry Potter
chelleybelle: Christine Feehan is the author of the Dark Series. I think you are talking about the same books. Vampires, in that series, are Carpathians who have lost their souls by killing innocents. They then become the undead. Powerful Carpathians can shapeshift... and they seem to like wolves, for some reason. And yes, there aren't many female Carpathians.

Now... what happened to Harry?
**********************************************************
Harry thought that what the rogue Death Eaters had done to him was bad... but now he felt as if his entire body was melting away. The poison from the vampires talons sinking into him, stealing his soul, burning away his flesh.
He couldn't wake-up, yet he could sense thing happening around him. Being moved, being settled into loose dirt, chanting, magical energy hitting him in waves... and then, the poison got too close to his heart and all his senses faded.
**********************************************************
He awoke with a start.
He could feel... everything.
Harry was alone in a what looked like a cavern, lying on the ground with dirt covering his lower half and loosely sprinkled over the rest of him.
His hands were buried in the earth and through the earth... he could feel.
Earth worms a mile away, burrowing into the ground, people in the next room, pacing.
"What is going on?" he asked the nothing around him.
He started screaming when a sharp pain ripped through him, causing him to convulse.
"Harry!" Alex yelled as she ran into the room. "Don't fight it! You will only hurt yourself! Let the change happen."
Harry looked up at Alex as she knelt next to him. 'Did she say change?'
"Wha..." he tried to speak through the pain.
"You were badly injured, the poison from the vampires was going to kill you. Aiden had to give you more blood, you have lost so much. But the poison was advanced, Aiden had never dealt with it before so his blood couldn't help you... so Gregori gave you some," Alex explained, tears in her eyes as she watched Harry writhe in pain, trying not to scream. "That is three times, Harry. I am sorry, but it was the only way we could save you. Just let it happened, trust me, it doesn't hurt as much that way."
Harry tried to do what she said, but he felt as if his whole body was eating itself and then reforming... not exactly the nicest experience.
"Why is it hurting him so much, Gregori?" she turned to ask the dark haired man standing in the doorway.
"He is a wizard, so not only does his body have to change, but so does his magical core. It will be more difficult for him."
Harry heard the mans reply, just as the change hit him somewhere deep inside, his magic, and Harry's vision went black again.
******************************************************************
Harry woke-up, this time in the same bedroom he had been in when we first found by Aiden and Alex.
Looking around he realized he was alone and only wearing his black trousers. He touched his throat where the vampire had cut him, only a thin line remained of what had been a gaping wound. He traced the line from the right side of his neck, around his throat, across his left collarbone and ending on his left shoulder. The wound that should have killed him, but instead gave him life. Forever.
"I see you're awake," a deep voice said from the doorway.
Harry looked up to see the mysterious man with silver eyes.
"I am Gregori, I am a healer and hunter for my people... now yours as well. I am sorry we did not ask you before turning you, there was no time. You were dying and Alexandria was beside herself. You helped save her from the vampires, all Carpathians thank you for that."
"What is going to happen to me now?" Harry asked, he voice raspy.
"You will be taught how to be a Carpathian. I am guessing from your accent, you are British. Aiden and Alex are returning to America, where they live, in the next few days. If you wish it, you may go with them, you have a bond with them. If you wish to return to England, Lucian, my older brother will teach you. He is an ancient one, strong, guardian of our people."
"May I think about it?" Harry inquired, staring up at the ceiling.
"Yes, but Aiden and Alex must know soon." Gregori rose to leave.
"Will I age?" Harry asked, making the dark man turn back.
"Not anymore," he replied before walking from the room.
Harry stood from the bed and walked into the bathroom, which was colored like the bedroom.
He stood in front of the mirror, staring at himself.
He was 26-years-old, still pale with messy black hair. He had filled out over the years, from Auror training. He was no longer scrawny. His broad shoulders, defined chest and abs, which tapered into a lean waist. 'I will always be this way, I won't age with my friends... I won't die with them.'
Changing into a Carpathian hadn't changed Harry physically, not very much anyway. His skin was smoother, its tone perfectly even. His hair felt healthier, thicker, not that needed it. His muscles, which had toned over years of Quidditch and Auror training were even more defined. Flexing his right bicep, he realized his strength had increased tenfold.
Staring in the mirror, Harry didn't know what to do. Cry, laugh, scream?
He was given life in face certain death, and now he had what many would do anything for, eternal life.
