"I still don't believe it, Ron. Draco Malfoy and Hermione? It just doesn't seem possible. She's never gonna go for it, how can we help him?"

"Harry, I think if we're going to do this without getting ourselves hexed, the best idea is to give him tips and suggestions and let him carry them out. That way, we're never directly connected to this whole thing."

"Connected to what?"

"Ahhh! Merlin, Neville! Don't sneak up on people like that, you nearly gave me a heart attack."

"Sneak up? You're standing in the middle of the common room. How did I sneak up on you?"

At that, both boys look around realizing they are, indeed, in the middle of the common room.

"Bloody Hell, Harry. Anyone could have come in, even Her..."

"Ron! Still in the common room, here! Um, Neville, how much did you hear before you spoke up?"

"Not much. Just not getting yourselves hexed, which makes me figure you're going to do something that Hermione isn't gonna like, then about not being connected to something. Oh, yeah, connected to what?"

"Well, we could tell him, if we make him swear not to say anything to anyone else."

"Or, Ron, we could kiss our butts goodbye and Avada ourselves right now."

"Hold on, Harry. I've got an idea. Neville could help us with our situation. Neville, I need you to swear a Wizard's Oath that you won't repeat any of what we're about to tell you to anyone without our permission. Is that alright?"

"Um, is whatever you're gonna tell me going to get me hexed by Hermione, cause, well, she knows some really bad hexes and I don't much fancy losing any important bits?"

"Look, Hermione will not be hexing you, Neville. It's perfectly alright."

"Okay, then. I solemnly swear on my honor as a Wizard that any information I am about to receive will be kept between me and those who share it with me." A bright white light flew from the tip of Neville's wand and encircled him before dissipating.

"Ok, Neville, here's the situation...."

Thirty minutes later:

"Oh, Merlin! I thought you said I wasn't going to get hexed! Wait, I'm not gonna get hexed, I'm gonna get cursed to bloody Hell! Are you two crazy? She'll Avada all three of us!"

"It's not that bad, Neville. All we have to do is slip Draco some itsy bitsy tips and suggestions on how to get on her good side and he'll owe us the biggest favor ever known to wizard kind."

"Or, he'll be paying for our funerals. Alright, what do you want me to do?"

"I knew we could count on you Neville. We need you to find out what Hermione's favorite flowers are."

"You know, Ron, it just occurred to me that we've been friends with Hermione for over half a decade and we don't even know what kinds of flowers she likes. That can't be a good sign."

"Hmmm. Oh, well, we'll know soon enough. Can you find that out for us, Neville?"

"Um, yeah no problem. Do you realize you have a very single minded focus?"

"A what?"

"Never mind. I got the idea, flowers."

"You know, Ron, I have an idea to pass onto Malfoy. Here's what we're gonna tell him to do..."

A/N: Originally, it was going to be Hermione who walks in on the guys but, I was on the phone with my aunt and a little distracted. When I finally looked up at what I had typed, there was Neville in the middle of the guys' scheme. Completely changed the direction of this chapter.
