Chapter 4
Chapter 4
Time passed quickley for Hermione and soon the beginning of school was upon her. After gathering up her trunk and Milo, her Trill Dragon, she headed downstaires so that her parents could drive her to the train station. The ride there was quick because all Hermoine could think about was meeting her lost family.
She walked distractedly through the station and through the barrier to Platform 9 3/4. As she pushed her cart in, she bumped into a girl about her age walking by. With an oof, the girl went sprawling onto the ground. Shocked at the encounter, Hermoine went to help the girl up. As she walked around the cart, Hermoine was pushed aside by none other than Blaise Zabini.
"Kitty! Are you alright?" He said while helping a messy haired blonde girl back to her feet.
"I'm alright." The girl called Kitty said while dusting off her robes. She looked at Hermione and spoke to her. "You need to be a bit more aware of where you are walking. That could have hurt someone."
Hermoine looked at the girl with curiosity. She was sure that she hadn't seen her around before. Her curiosity turned to discust when the blonde held up one arm to check a small rip in the sleeve. Unknown to the blonde, part of the sleeve fell down revieling a part of her dark mark. Hermoine took a step away from the two Slytherins and couldn't help the sneer that passed her features.
"I don't see how Deatheater scum like you could takl about preventing harm to others." With this insult out, Hermione turned and pushed her cart to the train to have it loaded.
Hermione found the room that Ron, Harry, and Ginny sat in. She walked in and took a seat beside Ron, who was in the middle of a story about he and Lavender Brown, his girlfriend. As the story was finished the three turned to look at Hermione.
"Hermione! You look different! I love the hair, and look at her eyes! Did you buy contacts?" Ginny said
Hermoine smiled at her bubbly friend. "No it is actually real." She launched into a story about her adoption and the meeting between she and her sisters the next day. Ginny looked contemplative.
"Hermione, the only Kristin Phillips I know of is in Slytherin." She said with a worried voice.
"How is it that I have never heard of her then?" Hermoine said with a little shock in her voice.
"She mostly sits in the back of my Slytherin/Gryffindor classes. Apparently she was enrolled late so she is a year behind you." Ginny said. "She doesn't participate much in the school activities. I have never seen her be mean to anyone who isn't in Slytherin. From what I can tell, she has been dating Blaise Zabini for the last few years."
Hermoine's face lost some of its color. Her mind went back to the girl with messy blonde hair that she had inadvrtently hit with her cart. "Oh my..." She said with a sigh.
Ginny and the boys looked at her questioningly.
"On the way here I accidently hit a girl with my cart. She had messy blonde hair like the girl in the picture. Blaise came over and called her Kitty while he helped her up. She told me that I needed to be more careful and pay attention or something like that could hurt someone. She was checking her sleeve and I saw the dark mark on her arm. I said something rude before I left. Oh guys! What if she is my sister?" Hermione ranted, almost in a panic.
"Hermione! You can't be related to a Deatheater!" Ron almost shouted. "I think that you should meet your other sister and cut ties with the Slytherin girl."
Harry was nodding in agreement with Ron but Ginny glared at the two of them.
"Now that is wrong! I think that Hermione should meet with them both and have a chat with Kristin. She doesn't seem to be the malicious type." She said.
Hermoine looked at the three and took in what all of them were saying. "Maybe I should meet her and see what she is like, but if she says anything wrong then I will know to not be around her. I have went 17 years without a sibling. I can go for much longer without one."

Kristin's POV
Kristin pushed her own cart over to the train. That morning she had said goodbye to her little brother and Blaise had picked her up. She stood by and watched as her stuff was loaded into the train. After making sure all of it made it on, she wandered around trying to find where Blaise had made off to. As she was walking a girl with brown hair, wearing Gryffindor robes bumped her side hard with her cart.
Kristin fell with a small oof and waited to get the air back into her lungs. The Gryffindor made her way around the cart, but was suddenly pushed aside by Blaise.
"Kitty! Are you alright?" He asked her worriedly.
"I'm alright." She assured her boyfriend. "You need to be a bit more aware of where you are walking. That could have hurt someone." She told the girl while checking a rent in the hem of her loose sleeve.
"I don't see how Deatheater scum like you could takl about preventing harm to others." The girl said with discust before walking away.
Kristin jerked her head up and looked at the partially exposed mark on her arm. A tear came to her eye at the thought of how people treated her once they found out about it. She looked at Blaise, who was busy glaring angrily after the girl.
"Hey, don't worry about it." She said whille turning his face towards hers with her hand on his cheek.
His anger seemed to melt away as she looked into his eyes. "Cara, no one should speek to you like she did. Don't you pay heed to what Mudblood Granger has to say."
"Mudblood Granger? That is the girl that you and Draco are always complaining about?" She asked.
"Yes. She is the biggest bookworm that Hogwarts has ever seen." He said with a small smile.
"I don't like you using the term Mudblood. Our blood is proof of nothing. You know this." Kristin said in a chastizing manner.
"Yes, Kitty. It is just hard to break a habit like calling her something like that after all of these years." He said while kissing her on the forehead.
"Go on and find Draco and Theo. I am going to go and find Ashley. We will meet you in the usual cubicle." Kristin said with a smile and a push to his chest.
With a white smile and a promise in his eyes he left her to go find his friends. Kristin walked around the train halls of a moment before giving up on finding her best friend. She started on her way back to her groups cabin when she heard a girl call out the name Hermione. Curious and wondering if it could be her sister, Kristin stopped beside a closed door and listened to the conversation going on inside. She recognized the voice of Ginny Weasley. She had her in several classes. Her heart dropped as she listened to them talk to the girl who had knocked her over. At the girls question of sisterhood, she knew that this was one of the two girls that she would see the next day. Her heart sank as she listened to the two boys with her tell her what she should do. Kristin smiled slightly when Ginny defended her just a bit. She left before she could hear the last of the conversation.
As she wandered down the hall to the cubicle, she bumped head long into a dark haired girl. Grumbling about this being the second time today that she had fallen on her back, Kristin looked up into the amused eyes of her best friend. Ashley Harper was a bit broader than her own lithe frame and had brown wavy hair to her waist. They had been best friends since before Hogwarts and would continue to be so after.
"You ditzy blonde! In a hallway one should always keep their eyes off of the ground." Ashley said in her very best Snape voice. Kristin laughed lightly at the thought of her godfather saying the word ditzy. She and Draco were both Snapes godchildren and had grown up together. No one talked about her though.
"Ash, I wish that just once you were the one who was embarrased." Kristin said with a mischevious smile on her face.
"You with I were as clumsy as you." Ashley said with humor. "C'mon. The boys are waiting for us.
Kristin walked with her taller friend into a room with the boys sitting in it.
"Darling!" Theodore Nott said with exuberance as she walked in. He stood up and air kissed her cheeks before sitting down.
Theo was a nice looking individual. He had broad features and a killer smile as well as deep chocolate eyes that could melt a girl where she stood. Sitting beside him was Draco. His white hair was gel free and fell strait past his ears in the front and to his collar in the back. It looked better than it did gelled back. Blaise sat in the corner and pulled her down onto his lap.
"I told the boys what is up tomorrow. They agree that you should take us all with you. Just owl the other girls and have them bring their own entourage." He said with a smile.
Kristin looked at her friends. "Ok." She said giving in. "But on the condition that no matter who it is that shows up, you are polite and courtious. If one of you acts stupid, I won't hesetate to hex you." She said as they all nodded. With that they settled into the ride to the school.

Sasha's POV
Sasha looked around the Headmasters office. She was waiting for Dumbledore to tell her what house she would be in. The hat couldn't make up its mind and since she knew nothing about the houses, it was up to the Headmaster to decide. They were stuck between Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.
"Well, Miss Sasha, what is it that you like to do?" Professor Dumbledore asked her.
"I like to take care of injured animals, and collect dolls. I also like to make my own cosmetics." Sasha said with a light french accented voice.
Dumbledore nodded with a twinkle in his eye. "I think that you would do well in Hufflepuff. They seem to take the hands on approach." He said with a gentle smile. "I'll have our Castle Caretaker lead you to the Hufflepuff dorms. The password is Snowdrift." He led her out of his office and to a ratty, meanspirited-looking, man. "This is Argus Filch. He is the caretaker. This is his companion, Mrs. Norris."
Sasha looked down at the cat and smiled at her. "It is very nice to meet you Mr. Filch. You as well Mrs. Norris. I am Sasha Stamton and this is Raziel." She said while pulling her tattered kitten out of her robes.
Argus filch looked shocked as he was smiled at by this student. He looked even more shocked when Sasha pulled out her cat. He watched the ugly thing as she sat her down on the floor to walk with them. As she was bent down like that Mrs. Norris walked up and placed herself under the girls hand for a quick rub. Argus had never seen his cat accept one other than himself so easily. A grudging respect for the girl took place in his mind.
"This way." He lead her down the corridor to a painting. "This is your painting. Say the password and it will open. Now I have better things to do so goodbye." Mr. Filch left Sasha staring at the portrait.
"Snowdrift." She said resolutely. The p[icture swund open and she walked into the Hufflepuff commons. After finding the girls dorms and her bed, Sasha unpacked and wen't to sleep early thinking of the meeting tomorrow.
