4-monday monday

As you can tell this is unbetered, so please excuse my spelling. trying to get this out in a stream of consciousness way, so its worse than normal I'm afraid!

4- Monday monday

The next morning Joy was woken by the second pounding head, furry mouthed hangover in so many days and groaned deep and long.
“That was a killer dream, mmmm.” she thought stretching up her arms above her head, and suddenly connecting with a large wooden, “arghh what the bloody hell.” She snapped open her eyes and rubbed her eyes as she took in the room which she had initially taken to be her bedroom at home. She listed the things she saw trying to get her cloudy brain in gear,
Four poster bed, old fashioned mahogany dresser, stone floor, rag-rug, open fire place, house elf, big wooden door, woah hang on, house elf! House elf!
She jumped out of bed with just a sheet around her and much to the obvious shock of said elf proceeded to jump up and down shouting, “Oh my god!” repeatedly for a whole minute before hugging the poor creature fiercely.
She pulled back taking the strange little thing in, it had huge shining blue eyes and was opening and closing its mouth in shock.
“Oh, dear I’m really sorry, I don’t normally go around hugging people to within an inch of their lives I promise.”
The elf managed to get some words together at last and spoke,
“Don’t worry mistress Bagshore, Mimsy has seen a lot of strange things in her lifetime, and getting hugged by young miss is not the worst of them, I has been sent to check you and Mistress Redthorn find your way down to breakfast alright. I’ll be coming back in a quarter of an hour” Mimsy then disappeared.
Beside her self, Joy was not sure what to do first, go wake Daisy, get dressed or find the bathroom for a suddenly urgent call of nature, she decided that should come first.
So a couple of minutes later and now dressed in a robe found in the small ensuite she’d discovered she padded over the living area which was a hazy memory from the previous night and banged on the door on the opposite wall to her room, which she supposed must belong to her fellow Hogwarts interloper.
“Daisy! Daisy!” she called “wake up!”
A muffled voice came from within, “five more minutes, it’s still dark, it’s not time to get up yet” then a moan.
“Daisy, get up, we’re really here, I just saw a house elf!”
Inside the room there was the noise of a sudden flurry of activity then a stark naked daisy appeared at the door, “Um, morning hon, I think you’ve forgotten something.” Joy laughed.
“Oh shit!” was the response immediately followed by the door being until a pink Daisy re-emerged in a similar robe to Joys. “Sorry mate, that was embarrassing, its just it’s a pretty big shock isn’t it? Was there really a house elf, seriously?”
“Yeah, we’ve now got 10 minutes to get ready for breakfast, and I’m guessing since we’re supposed to be teaching we should see if there’s some sort of timetable in our cases and find out what we’re supposed to be doing.”
“10 minutes, I feel like death, better get started!”
Both women retired to their respective rooms temporarily and after a few minutes were back in the shared space.
“I guess muggle studies teaching means muggle clothes then?” Daisy commented noting they had both found the cases contained pretty similar clothes to their normal wardrobes; both had turned out in black trousers with Daisy choosing a pink v neck jumper, and Joy a bottle green roll neck.
“I’m glad, its weird enough without getting all dolled up. Have you looked at the timetable yet?”
“Yeah, so I’ve got muggle science and you get arts and humanities, but I’m not sure where any extra stuff comes in, I was thinking maybe we should try and talk to Dumbledore, you know maybe try and explain what’s going on?”
“Well,” Joy replied thoughtfully, “That would be the appropriate fan fic thing to do, and we’ve nothing timetabled till this after noon, so how about after breakfast?”
“You’re on. Then we can get down to forming a strategy for what we do next.”
“I know exactly what I fancy doing tonight!”
Daisy poked her hard and chuckled, “god does your mind ever rise above the gutter!?”
“Yes! I meant having a good snoop around here, tch! I have no idea what you could be talking about! Hehehe!”
So, time came to go to breakfast and Mimsy the elf returned to lead them down to the great hall as she said she would. Breakfast was uneventful but they lost sight of the headmaster in the throng to leave the great hall, so after waiting several minutes the two women set off thorough the great stone hallways to find his office.

“Here, I think this is it.” Daisy had, she’d said just followed her nose and led them almost directly to the large gargoyle which marked the entrance to the old wizards office, “Now what.”
“We knock I guess, I don’t know the password, it’s usually sweets though isn’t it, like Kola cubes or pear drops or something like cinder toffee!” Joy then gasped as she was just about to knock her fist against the entrance they found it opening already.
“Blimey!” exclaimed Daisy, “Good guess!”
“Hm, bit too easy though, anyway let’s go up. Hello? Professor?” the brunette lead the way, and was pleased to her a familiar voice as they rounded the corner of the stairwell.
“Ah, Good morning, Joy, Daisy, how good to see you both so soon. How can I help you two?” The elderly wizard was sitting, almost as if he had been waiting for them, smiling warmly. The two looked at one another and Daisy took the lead,
“Well, there’s something we need to talk to you about, well we think you ought to know.”
They sat down, drank a great deal of tea and between them filled in the picture of what had gone on in the last 36 hours for them both. Dumbledore nodded periodically, smiled often and pressed his palms together thoughtfully when they seemed to be done.
“And, that’s everything, sir. I mean we understand if you want to send us off to the loony bin, or back where we came from but I for one would really like to stay, I mean it’s really a dream come true, or maybe just a dream full stop, I don’t know but either way I think I speak for us both when I say we’d just really love to be allowed to stay.” Joy finished and took a deep breath, looked at Daisy and then at the headmaster.

“Well my goodness that is quite an unusual tale. But this would seem to be the place for those I should say! Of course I will not be having you carted off to St Mungo’s just yet, and I would be happy for you to stay if you wish to do so. I think perhaps it might be better if we kept this between ourselves though don’t you? As much as possible, anyway. Now you say that you seem to have been able to perform some magic using your wands, I suggest you practice that and read up as much as you can, and we can meet again at the end of the week to see how things are progressing.”
“Oh, sir, that’s wonderful, thank you so much!” Daisy exclaimed, both women jumping up and hugging their headmaster, and each placing a swift kiss on one of the old mans cheeks.
“hoho, that’s quite unnecessary ladies, really, I am fascinated to see how things go for you, and perhaps you may turn out to be an asset to the school. Now, you had both better be getting along, I believe you have the Raven claw, and Hufflepuff second years this afternoon, a nice start to term.”
They headed off chatting about a plan for the afternoon, Daisy had decided that perhaps physics and the comparison of muggle scientific laws with the possibilities held by magic would be the first hour and Joy would start on Shakespeare in the second hour, a toss up between Macbeth or Romeo and Juliet.

At dinner that evening both Joy and Daisy were exceptionally pleased with themselves and the afternoon had passes without any disasters. Remus Lupin sat down next to Joy near the end of the table.
“So how was your first day both? Feeling ok this morning?” He grinned at them both lopsidedly.
“It’s been great thanks? Actually we both wanted to apologise for last night.” Joy replied.
“Yeah, I was so embarrassed this morning, I think it was nerves. I hope you wont think badly of me, us.” Daisy added, leaning across her friend.
“Absolutely not. In fact its nice to meet some new faces, there’s no need to apologise.”
Daisy looked at Joy then, taking the moment said,
“Well in that case, I wondered if you might like to come for a drink with us at the weekend, go into Hogsmead, neither of us has ever been to an all wizarding town before.” Her fair complexion was once again looking very pink.
“That sounds very nice, thank you Daisy, Joy.” He raised his glass a little towards them both.
After most of the staff and students had finished and were leaving the hall, Joy pulled Daisy to one side just by the main door,
“What’s going on, I take it that was you setting out on a date with our resident werewolf? I thought you weren’t that bothered.”
“Well, I’ve been thinking, I mean have you ever seen that film 300? You know where in our normal lives the actor who plays Lupin is one of the Spartans?” Dasiy asked blushing furiously.
“Um I haven’t seen it but I know which one.”
“Well, the guy has a seriously hot body, like amazing really, so I thought why not go for it. You only live once!” she was grinning madly now.
“I absolutely agree, I will endeavour to be unavoidably called away just before the event, then you can have some alone time. In Fact I may try and arrange a little seizing the moment for myself!” Joy linked arms with her friend as they wandered off back to their rooms to plan the days ahead.
