Hermione's change

AN: Sorry it took me so long to update this story, I was having a problem trying to get my ideas for this next chapter just right to fit the story. If anyone has an idea that they would like to share or a question about the story just leave it in a review. I’ll try to answer as many questions I can in authors note that I’ll post the next chapter that I write. If I really like someone’s suggestion I may use it in some part of the story. I will say this right now about Hermione’s relationship: I don’t know exactly who she will end up with in the end or if she will even end up with someone in the end…and yes this story does follow along with the sixth book, and yes I know Dumbledore is supposed to be dead.. I did not forget, I will explain it later in the story…Now on with the story!!!!!


Draco led Hermione down long hallways and around corners until she thought she would get lost, though she never let her thoughts show. Finally they came upon a door that at first looked like any other door that the two had passed, but upon closer inspection she saw that the door was intricately designed with carvings of many animals in various positions.
“It’s ok Hermione, no one will hurt you here, we are your family” Draco stated quietly trying to comfort her the best he could, although she showed no signs of nerves.
They entered the room only to be greeted by hundreds of people dressed in dark cloaks with golden masks that only covered their eyes. Hermione looked around and noticed that the cloaks looked to be death eater cloaks and the masks looked to be the same masks that the order of the phoenix recently started to use.
Draco who noticed her confused look said, “Just about everyone in this room is at least a double agent, and no one knows every single person who is a part of this side, except for Snape, and soon you. The cloaks represent the death eaters, and the masks, as you know, represent the order of the phoenix, its so we can manipulate and play both sides”
Hermione just looked at him and turned away to scan the room, as she scanned she noticed that most people bowed, while others looked amused. Already she could tell that the ones who bowed were “death eaters” and the amused ones were “order members” how she knew this, she didn’t know. Draco led her up to the front where Snape and Lucius were standing.
“Welcome Hermione, come face your people. This side is a side that is not known to the public, but we are the side controlling the war. We are called Il regno del drago. It means the dragon reign. As many of us are pureblooded we use a medieval system of rank. Instead of being the most maniac of the group, or being in an inner circle in another, we all are in a system, that can change, but not based on who you are or how much money you have. We each have specific roles and each role has its name. You my dear are the dragon queen, Regina Del Drago. Draco has volunteered his soul and loyalty to be bonded with you, to become your protector, la protezione del drago, which means the dragon protector. I am now your father in your new family if that is ok with you, so my role is padre del drago, which means the dragon’s father. Lucius is to be your advisor, so he will be referred to as il consigliere del drago in a formal setting, which means the dragon’s advisor. In time you shall pick a small group of trusted members to become your guards, they will be called l'orgoglio dei draghi, the pride of the dragons.” Here Snape stopped and handed over the rest of the explanation to Lucius.
“Now that you have been briefed on the system, I believe it is time for you to be briefed on the bond and to be bonded with Draco. When we perform the ritual, yours and Draco’s soul will become one. You die, he dies, it’s as simple as that. The catch is if he dies in the line of duty, you will not, however you shall live a life of guilt and find that you will not be complete. It is your duty to make sure Draco stays happy and comfortable and it is his duty to protect you. After the bonding you will have to decide on how you will induct new member, and identify and call upon us. If you are ready please face Draco and clasp hands” At this Draco and Hermione joined hands as if getting married, Hermione faintly heard murmuring of a spell being said throughout the room.
I cant believe I am doing this, what if it’s a trap?
Don’t worry Princess it’s not a trap and you know it, otherwise you wouldn’t have came here and even gone through this to begin with. You know we are serious.
What? Malfoy? How? What’s going on?
It seems as if the bonding allows us to communicate telepathically, which is a good thing, considering you seem to not respond to anything around you physically, so now you have a friend mentally.
I wont go so far as to call you my friend, but if we are to be bonded I shall try.
After the bonding was complete they separated their hands and looked toward Lucius and Snape.
“Now what il consigliere del drago, what happens now?” Draco asked of his father
“Now you may not be more than 30 feet apart unless in your special suit, inside this castle. Their you may be separated, but one cannot leave the suit without the other. But for now our Regina Del Drago, must choose her symbol and mark us.”
With that everyone looked anxiously toward Hermione each secretly hoping that the mark be discreet and that it wont get them caught by either the real Death Eaters or the real Order of the Phoenix. As Hermione thought, she knew from what she observed and what Draco said, that it could not be big, or a tattoo. She finally came up with the perfect thing. She turned her back and produced and golden tray. Upon the tray the conjured a couple rings that had a crown with a dragon circling it as if to protect the crown from others. She placed a spell on the rings that others only saw a plain silver band, then she placed another spell on them to where only she could place the rings on the people and only she could take them off. Not even other members would see the crown and dragon on anyone else’s ring but theirs…that way it also protected their identity to a degree.
Malfoy could you explain to them exactly what I tell you to?
Of course, just tell me as I’m going.
“Attention, as the princess is not quite ready to speak among anyone yet, she has asked me through our bond to speak on her behalf, word for word, what she communicates to me. She understands that due to necessary security measures and identity problems that her mark could not be big or a tattoo, as that would not only revel our identity to each other, which could prove dangerous, but it could also give us away to the other two sides, so because of this she has created something that can protect all of us.” At this everyone breathed a small sigh of relief, now not worried but curious as to what she came up with. “She has created rings for everyone, her mark is a crown being protected by a flying dragon, A spell on these rings only allows the princess herself to place and remove these rings onto and off of our fingers. Once placed upon our fingers the rings will then change to the appearance of a plain silver band, that will only reveal itself to her and those she may choose to allow it to. It will still look like a plain band to other members for an identity protection. She will be able to sense if you are in danger or call upon you through this rings. You in turn will also be able to sense if she is in major trouble or major hurt. Now if you please line up and pledge your allegiance to our Princess and allow her to place your ring upon your fingers.” As soon as he said this everyone lined up and accepted the rings while pledging themselves. When everyone was through, someone noticed that the only person besides the Princess to not receive a ring was Draco.
“Excuse me, la protezione del drago on a chance that I may seem rude, but may I ask why have you not received your ring, even though your pledged your soul to the Princess?”
“Because the Princess created something special for me and her, Two necklaces, two halves of a whole; one with a crown, which will be hers, and one with the dragon, which will be mine. When combined we can put our magic together and use it as one, and like yours, no one else will recognize it except for the members of the Regina Del Drago. That way our members will recognize our Princess and show her respect.. Now the Princess is tired and would like to rest, meeting adjourned unless the anyone else has business to discuss amongst yourselves. Thank you all for your loyalty. Good day.”
With that Draco led Hermione out of the room and to their suit.

AN:// yea i know its not as long as i would have liked either, but i'm having a little trouble with the plot and all the good stuff..As i've said before, i dont know who hermione will end up with or if she will end up with anyone. Her being sould bonded with Draco does not mean they are going to fall in love or that they are practically together, it just means that they can commuinicate tellepathically, share magic, and feel each others emotions, it also means they now each have a duty to the other. The next chapter will be with harry and everyone at the same time that the ritual and all this is taking place..Again i said if you have any ideas or suggestions please feel free to leave them in a review, i do check each and every review, and will answer or comment on them in the nexr chapter...I hope to have at least a small chapter uploaded by the end of this week, i promise to try and do better with this story, Thanks for sticking with me
