Warning: Mentions of rape.

She doesn’t think it matters…

…It doesn’t.

But she knows that it does.

Milli looks differently at her…

…Looks at her with Pity.

That is what makes this so unbearable. That the only creature to have ever looked at her as a human, now looks at her with pity.

It makes her want to tear out Milli’s eyes. Those green eyes.

Scream at Milli to stop looking at her.

But most of all, she wants to cry and ask to forgiveness.

She needs to be forgiven.

She realizes all to late that she has time to think now, and she thinks. Milli told her that she never has the time to think about death, but she finds herself with so much time…

‘All but Death, can be Adjusted.’*

Can it?

Luna doesn’t think so, as she lies on the cold stone floor. She thinks that some things simply cannot be adjusted. No matter how much you wish they could.

She doesn’t try to stand, she knows that her feet will not hold her. She can still feel the blood between her thighs.

Milli is looking at her, that pity still there. She does not extend her arms to help her. How can she? She’s not there.

“Please stop looking at me.” Luna begs her, but Milli doesn’t listen.

Luna tries to cover her breasts with the little bit of her shirt that is left.

“Please stop looking at me.” Luna chokes on every word.

“I’m waiting for you. You know I’ll make it better.” Milli whispers.

Luna looks into her eyes, and she is amazed to see that there is no pity, none at all. Only a simple acceptance and a faint warmth.

“Get up Luna. I’m waiting for you.” Milli says and she is gone, never there.

“Okay.”

Luna finds Milli in the Garden.

Milli repairs her clothes, not a drop of blood is left. She cleans her, she does not say a word. Luna finds that she doesn’t mind Milli’s hand between her thighs.

At the end of it all, Luna feels clean, fresh.

There are no thoughts of death, Luna finds herself to busy to think about such matters. Too busy to think about the Night…

…It was as if it never happened.
