I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Chapter Four
A/N: Hey guys, sorry this is once again late and very short (I know, I know…again? Yes I really am very sorry) but I really did not have a good day. At all. But because I love you all so much I made myself write anyway. Hope you all like it!
Chapter Four
Harry didn’t have to wait long, a few minutes later Narcissa returned carrying a large wood basket.
“Here we are.” she smiled at Harry and gestured for him to follow her farther into the gardens.
Harry groaned silently before reluctantly standing up and following the tall woman.
‘This could not be good.’ he thought to himself as he rubbed his head, trying to stop the headache that was to inevitably come.
They soon arrived at what Harry assumed was the middle of garden. There was a small circular path cleared where a wooden table and three chairs sat.
“I would sometimes force Draco and his father to join me for brunch out here.” Narcissa said as she sat the basket on the table and took a seat in one of the chairs.
“Granted it was not often, considering the fuss they would make about having to eat outside.” she motioned for Harry to sit down and he apprehensively did so.
She began to take food out of the basket. Setting cheese, a variety of fruits and smoked beef in front of Harry.
“Thank you.” he picked up a slice of cheese and began to nibble on it like a mouse. Mostly to give his hands something to do.
Once they both had a plate and goblet of wine, Narcissa began the dreadful talk.
“First of all, I would like to say welcome to the family.” She smiled at Harry and he managed to smile slightly back at her.
“I’m sure you will make Draco a fine mate. However, with that being said I would like to voice my displeasure at how you have treated my son thus far.”
Harry’s mouth literally dropped open and irritation quickly filled him.
Narcissa chose to ignore the reaction and continued on.
“How dare you hit your own husband, my son.” Her voice getting colder the longer she talked, showing just how upset she was with the situation.
“How dare he force himself upon me! How dare he treat me as if I were cattle to be used for his own pleasure only to be tossed aside! He’s not the only one that is discontented with this marriage. Do you think I wanted this? Well I can assure you I didn’t. I can also promise you that I will not let him treat me like this. I refuse to live this way.” Harry was now standing with his hands grasping the edge of the table.
Narcissa looked taken aback, her face scrunched in an angry expression. But before she could speak, Harry whirled around and stomped off, muttering under his breath.
Harry made his way through the gardens and back through the double doors. He had no idea where he was going but at the moment he didn’t care. He just wanted to be left alone.
He soon found himself once more in the library. He sighed with relief when he saw a huge desk in the corner by one of the many bookshelves.
He pulled out the heavy chair before getting on his knees and crawling under the desk. He put his head on his knees and let out a sob of frustration.
He never asked for this. His parents had forced it upon him. They had said he would be happy and taken care of. He was anything but happy and he had been raped for goodness sake! If that were being taken care of then he would certainly hate to be neglected.
He let the depressing memory of their wedding take over him.
The cold look in Draco’s eyes as he peered over him as he said the required vows. The bastard didn’t even have the decency to look at him. Choosing instead to stare at some unknown object just above his head.
The way Lucius shook his hand and gave him a fake smile to please the on looking people.
The multiple men and women who glared at him and gave him envious looks when they thought he wasn’t looking. Some of them giving him a knowing smirk when they knew he was.
He couldn’t do this. He couldn’t live a lie. And that was exactly what his marriage was. A deceitful fraud that seemed to haunt him, a reminder that he would never truly be happy.
But then his parent’s memory flittered into his mind.
The brilliant smile on his mother’s face as she clapped at the end of their joining. The way she mouthed ‘I love you’ when he caught her eye.
His father pulling him into a huge, whispering, “I’m so proud of you son.” into his ear.
He couldn’t disappoint them. He wouldn’t.
His thoughts were disrupted when for the first time he noticed a pair of shoes in front of him.
He looked up to see who it was and was met with a pair of cold, angry, gray eyes.

mayu, anon, grimwriter, kumori, thrnbrooke, Anyanka, doesitmatter, dar, & tryst: Thank you guys sooo much for reviewing! I really do appreciate it! I hope you all liked this chapter as well! :D
Bookworm51485: I am seriously considering it. I know M-preg bothers some people but personally I’m a big fan. Hope you liked the chapter, thanks for reviewing.
Melodelic: First of all I would like to thank you for your idea. It pretty much inspired this chapter. I know it’s not a full scene but I do hope it helped and there will be more of Harry reminiscing. I’m not very good flashback scenes and couldn’t think of a way to write it so it fit in. Thanks for reading! Hope this chapter helped a little.
cirquegirl999: Your review totally made me smile, which I really needed at the moment so thank you lol. And thank you for being so understanding. Hope there wasn’t too much Harry bashing in this chapter. I tried to turn it around as another opportunity for Harry to stand up for himself. Anyway, thanks for reviewing!
