Meeting
Author's Note: OOh! I'm really enjoying writing this. They actually meet! There'll be some proper smut next chapter, I promise... and thankyou for the nice reviews, i'd like some more!!
The message intrigued Severus. What he saw at night were just visions after all, even if his suspicions about a Leglimens were true. Did this note mean that whoever was giving him these visions would make themselves known to him? He certainly hoped so. He had become extremely frustrated these past weeks and his body ached for this woman, whoever she was. Sitting in the threadbare armchair he closed his eyes, and allowed memories of the previous nights to flit through his mind. A smile began to play it’s way across his face as he remembered the woman’s body entwined with his own.
It was with excitement that Severus prepared for bed. He wasn’t exactly sure what would happen, but he assumed she would make contact by Leglimency, just as she had before. Just as he was getting into bed, he picked up his wand and muttered a spell to ensure that he would have some control over whatever visions there would be tonight. He wanted to be able to talk to this woman, to tell her exactly how he was feeling. As sleep overtook him a thought snaked it’s way into his mind. This was the evil, nasty, greasy, overgrown bat of an ex-Potions Master, going almost silly over a girl. This was so unlike him, he thought, pulling the covers close around his naked form against the cold. This was the first time in years that he had felt human, felt alive.
----
In her apartment, Hermione put the finishing touches to her hair. It was piled high on her head, put up into pincurls with the tips cascading down. She observed herself in the mirror. She hoped he would not be able to resist. With a small grin she picked up her wand and muttered “leglimens”.
----
Severus began to see her. This vision was not like the others, which had felt unreal. |This felt like he was actually there. He seemed to be in a dark room, with a white sofa in the middle of it. There was no one else there. After looking around, he sat on the sofa, and a small table appeared in front of him, with a bottle and two glasses on it. Severus was intrigued. He had gone to bed naked, yet he was clothed in black linen drawstring pants and a loose black shirt, open to reveal his chest. He certainly hadn’t put himself into these clothes, so he assumed she had. Suddenly a voice came from the shadows,
“Severus, are you ready to see me?” The voice was like silk, sliding over his senses. He smiled.
“I am.”
The woman stepped into the room. Her chestnut hair piled on her head, soft tendrils falling around her face. Her lips a deep red and her stunning curvaceous figure clad in a thin linen empire line dress, all white, with a silver ribbon running under her bust. She smiled at him, and he felt like his whole body was on fire. He stood, took her hand and kissed it.
“You know exactly who I am don’t you?” Severus asked. The woman raised one eyebrow and smiled.
“I do, and you know me, Severus.”
He had to admit, she looked somehow familiar, but just as it was on the tip of his tongue it seemed to slip away. Some features gave him a strong feeling of recognition, and yet others were so far from what he recognised. She stood and cocked her head to one side.
“You don’t recognise me do you, Severus?”
“I don’t, you’re so familiar, yet so much of a stranger. Who are you? How do I know you?” In answer she led him to the sofa and sat down. Severus followed suit.
“Before I tell you, you must promise to forget everything you knew about the old me. I have changed so much, you will not recognise my personality, never mind my outward appearance.” she paused and lowered her eyes, “I am Hermione Granger.”
Severus took in the name. Her eyes were the same as he had remembered, but he lips were fuller, her face rounder, her hair much less bushy, more curly now and, by Merlin, that figure he certainly didn’t remember! She had been an eighteen year old girl when he had last seen her, now she was a woman, grown into the sensuous form of a woman and confident with it too. Her head hung, she seemed afraid that he would reject her, fly into a temper at the thought that he was fantasising about fucking the Gryffindor know it all. He put his hand under her chin and raised her head, quite unsure what to do. He was not the kind of man who was any good at being gentle. Her hazel eyes burned into his.
“Merlin, Hermione, you are so beautiful.” Severus leaned in and took her lips gently. It took every ounce of his willpower not to grab her roughly and kiss her hard, but he didn’t want to frighten her off. He ended the kiss and looked at her, smiling. Hermione had never seen her ex-Potions Professor looking so happy.
“I want you, in the flesh.” Severus murmured. Hermione smiled wickedly.
“I’ll be there in ten minutes”
And with a flash the shared vision ended.
