TRYING TO REMEMBER

At the cottage Remus was distraught about how things went so badly. But he had to make Sirius understand it all. It was him it was always him and will always be him. Remus wrote out a note.

He sent Socrates with it to Twelve Grimmauld.

Sirius saw Socrates at the window but refused to let him in and he returned to Remus with the same note. He thought by now they could talk.

Harry saw the owl leaving. “Was that Socrates?”

“No.”

Harry knew better seeing the bird hundreds of times.

“Well that was quite the display last night?”

“I didn’t think it was a display.”

“You two were all over each other. I’m surprised you didn’t fuck each other on the right there in the middle of the floor.”

”The thought had crossed my mind.”

“And what about Remus?”

“He’s my past, David’s my future.”

“He does love you.”

“He loves Tonks; you don’t live with someone and become engaged unless you really love them. At least Remus doesn’t. Let’s just drop it.”

Harry knew despite his godfather’s words. He still loved the werewolf and was really hurt by his engagement. Later that day Ron and Hermione came over. Ron was a little flush with a smile on his face.

“You two finally did it.”

You couldn’t wipe the smiles off of their faces.

“Yeah”, they said in unison.

“About bloody time, Ginny and I”, Harry trailed off realizing that he was talking to one of Ginny’s older brothers and since losing Bill, Percy and George in the war along with their father. Ron was slightly over protective of his little sister.

“How’s your roomy this morning?” asked Hermione trying to change the subject.

“I don’t get him he’s just given up on Remus. David is his future.”

“Maybe he is?”

“But the pain in his eyes when he talks of Remus and Tonks. I know he still loves him.”

“If we could get them together, maybe.” Ron shook his head, “Nah stupid idea.”

“No Ron you’re brilliant, I guess that’s why I love you.”

Ron blushed at her words.

“What are you getting at Hermione?”

“I think a celebration is in order for the return of Sirius Black. This weekend perhaps.”

“Hey maybe we can invite Charlie, I think he has a new girlfriend the family is dying to meet.”

“I wish we knew where Tonks was she probably could straighten this whole mess out.”

The invitations went out to everyone they could think of. They sent Hedwig to Romania for Charlie’s invitation. There was a slight tap on the window, Charlie opened it and there was Harry’s owl.

“Luv, we got an invitation.” Charlie fed Hedwig some owl treats and pieces of bacon.

“We?”

“It says Charlie Weasley and girlfriend.”

“Well then they can’t mean me”, as she was staring at the rock Charlie had given to her the night before.

“Let’s see what it’s for.”

“We hope you will join us in the celebrating the return of Sirius Black. Festivities will be this Saturday at Twelve Grimmauld Place seven o’clock until whenever.”

“I guess he did it.”

“We don’t have to go. If it’s going to be to o hard for you to see them together.”

“Six months ago maybe it would be, today no. I have the love of my life right here Mr. Wealsey.”

“I love you too, Tonks.”

The night of the party was frantic. Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione and Mrs. Weasley were still running around busily when Remus arrived.

“Can I help with anything?”

Five pair of eyes just stared at him. He wore a black muggle suit with a buttoned down black shirt with the first two buttons unbuttoned. The pants hung nicely showing off his small tight butt. His hair was pulled back in a braid with a black leather thong.

“Wow, don’t you look nice.

He blushed, “Thanks. Where is our esteemed guest of honor?” Trying to seem nonchalant.

“Upstairs, getting ready.”

What they didn’t tell him was he was getting ready with his new lover David.

Harry took Remus aside “I have to tell you something.”

“What is it?”

“Sirius is seeing someone.”

“Oh.”

“But I know he loves you, you two just need to talk. We’re going to distract him and send Sirius out to the garden to talk to you.”

“You think he’ll come.”

“I hope so.”

Most of the guests had arrived when Sirius and David came down. He made his way through the room saying his hellos and thanks for coming. Then gold eyes met grey eyes and the room seemed to electrify. Sirius looked at his former lover and was taken aback, he looked gorgeous. This did not go unnoticed by David who pulled Sirius closer and kissed him. Sirius smiled at David then looked for Remus with his eyes, but he had already left knowing this was too much to bear.

David and Sirius were snogging in a chair when someone came through the floo it was Charlie Weasley, who was mildly shocked to see the sight and then Nymphadora Tonks came through and was thoroughly shocked at what she saw. Sirius looked up from his lover.

“Well, well little cousin what do we have here, he looked at the ring. I guess Remus just wasn’t good enough for you.”

“And what about you?”

“That is none of your business.”

How could this all go wrong one of the reasons she left is so that Remus and Sirius could be together. The main reason being she was falling in love with Charlie. Her heart broke when she realized what Remus must be going through all he did for Sirius and he was pushed aside.

She had to go talk to him. This will be the first time they spoken since she left him. She looked through out the house and there was no sign of him.

“Molly is Remus here?”

“What you want to break his heart again. He’ll be devastated that you and Charlie are engaged. You best not hurt my son and I’ll let you know I totally disapprove of this arrangement.”

“Molly, you are so in the dark about everything. I probably did hurt Remus leaving like I did but if he leaves devastated tonight it won’t be my doing.”

Ron turned to Harry “Remember that old saying. Be careful what you wish for it just might come true. I think this night just got more interesting. Remus is outside.”

After seeing Tonks Sirius wanted nothing more than to comfort his former lover, to take him in his arms and kiss all his pain away.

“Wotcher, Remus.”

Remus turned around and the voice he knew so well.

“Nymphadora.” Remus went up to her and gave her a huge hug. “You look beautiful, and very happy. Wow look at the rock!! I take things between you and Charlie are going well.”

“Fantastic. What happened between you and Sirius? Did you bring him out of the veil or that David person?”

“I did. He found out about us in a bad way, before I got to tell him. You know your cousin he flew off the handle and fell into bed with David.”

“Why didn’t you tell him?”

“I guess I though I had time. I had only got him out the night before.”

“Why didn’t you tell him that night, it was sorta important?”

“Nymphadora, if you hadn’t seen Charlie for two and a half years.”

“Yeah right I see your point.”

“I meant to tell him the next morning, well we slept in kind of late, and Harry came over. I wanted to give them time to talk; when I came back it was over. He found David that night.”

“Remus I’m so sorry.”

“I had the note out to show him, too.”

“I’m sorry about that too.”

“You were doing what you thought was best”

“You don’t hate me?”

“Never, I was disappointed I never got to say good-bye, you know one last kiss.”

“If it’s going to be a last one make it a good one.”

Inside

“Harry, have you seen Remus?”

“He’s outside.”

When Sirius walked out he saw two figures in a deep kiss. One with a braid the other shocking pink hair. The broke off after what seemed to be an eternity.

Remus lifted Tonks face with a finger under her chin, “I do love you.”

That was all Sirius had to hear and he was gone,

“Just not as much as Sirius.”

“I could never love anyone as much as I love Sirius.”

“Then go and get him.”

“I think I will.”

Remus went into the house to find Sirius, As he went up to the bedroom floors he heard voices coming from Sirius’ room.

“Did Lupin ever fuck you this good?”

“No, you’re the best Dave. Please harder, fuck me harder.”

“And you’re never going to fuck him again are you.”

“No just you babe. Please make me cum.”
