Author's Note
Here is the missing chapter, everyone. I don’t know why it didn’t post. Sorry about that.

Friday morning Severus was surprised to see Hermione come into the hotel’s restaurant alone. She was dressed in a dark blue, women’s business suit and her auburn hair was pulled tightly into a bun behind her head.
She walked over to him and said, “Good morning, Professor.”
“Good morning, Miss Granger.” He replied politely, “Out without your SAS unit?”
Hermione frowned. “They’re all sleeping off hangovers. Debbie brought five bottles of firewhskey with her. I think they went through all of them. Can I join you?”
He made a simple gesture towards the chair across from him and replied, “Be my guest.”
She sat down and said, “Look, I’m sorry about last night. Debbie called me a baby because I refused to get drunk with the rest of them, so I guess I was a little sensitive.”
“I assure you, Miss Granger, it was not my intention to check up on you, It just so happens, my room is next to yours. I was merely trying to make conversation.” He explained.
She smiled and replied, “I’m sorry. Debbie just put me on the defensive. I swear, I think she’s a lost cause sometimes.”
He leaned back in his chair and smirked. “Trying to reform her, are you?”
“Well, she’s got a lot of problems.” Hermione stated softly, “Her parents are divorced, and she hates her new stepmother. They argue constantly, She’s a good person, and bright, but she drinks too much in my opinion. I worry about her.”
“It’s nice of you to try to help her.” Severus said casually.
Hermione shrugged and replied, “That’s just me. If a friend has a problem, I’m the first one to bend over backwards to try and help them. It’s in my nature.”
“That’s a very admirable trait, Miss Granger.” He said, “It got you into quite a bit of trouble in my class if I remember.”
She blushed and replied, “I knew potion making wasn’t for Neville, but I felt I had to try and help him. It’s just who I am, I’m afraid.”
A little voice in the back of his head said, “Hmm, she’s always willing to help a friend with a problem. Maybe she can help with yours.”
“Absolutely not!” he told himself, “She’s half my age and a former student to boot. Besides, I was horrible to her. I have no business asking her for sexual favors.”
As the battle raged inside his head, he half-heartedly chatted with Hermione after the waiter took their orders. He chose a western omelet with hash browns while Hermione ordered the eggs benedict. It was hard to believe that the beautiful, young Witch in front of him was the same girl he had taught just three years ago. If only she wasn’t so much younger.
After breakfast, he and Hermione went their separate ways. He attended a rather dry lecture on the long term effects of veritas syrum, then went to another lecture on herb drying and storage. The third presentation was the one he had been waiting to hear. He sat in the front row, hoping this genius from the University would have some new insight that would help him. He nearly fainted when he saw Hermione take walk by and take a place behind the podium.
The lights went out and she waved her wand, muttering an incantation that caused pictures to appear on the large, white screen behind her. The pictures rolled through one by one. They were all pictures of various couples that were either embracing or kissing passionately.
“Sexuality is a very natural part of what makes us all human. It’s so natural, in fact, that most of us take it for granted. What happens, however, when a person isn’t able to enjoy sexual intimacy? There are many silent souls who because of a physical ailment or prior sexual abuse are unable to perform sexually. Sexual problems are no laughing matter, ladies and gentlemen. They are serious, and if left untreated can break up an otherwise happy marriage or cause serious psychological damage. Sex is an important part of having a romantic relationship. Today we’ll discuss the latest efforts in potions research to aid those having trouble with their sexual performance.”
Severus sat there stunned as she spoke. Hermione Granger was the last person he had expected to take on such a topic, let alone present it in public. This caused the battle in his head to resume.
“Hmm…she sure knows a lot about sexual problems. You really should ask her for help.” That little voice inside his head taunted.
“But she was my student.” He protested silently, “I wasn’t even kind to her in school.”
“Look at her.” The voice prodded, “She’s beautiful, and always willing to help someone in need. With her knowledge about sexual problems, I doubt that she’d laugh at you. She’ll understand, and you know her, so it will be easier than with a stranger.”
Severus crossed his arms and watched Hermione as she spoke with conviction. She certainly did realize how much of a problem sexual difficulties could cause. She spoke as if she was out to save the world, informing everyone rather bluntly that no one should be denied the pleasure of intimacy with another human being. It was unhealthy, and damaging if such needs were denied.
When the lecture was over, it was time for questions. A handsome, blonde wizard a little older than Hermione stood up and asked, “Miss Granger, what is your personal take on sex?”
Hermione blushed a little, but answered the man. “Sex is as close as you can get to another person. It feels fantastic, and I personally like it a lot. I’m quite comfortable with the fact that I’m a sexual being.”
The man flashed her an award-winning smile and sat back down. Other people asked questions afterwards, but Severus paid little attention to them. As much as the idea of telling his secret to someone else terrified him, Hermione was indeed the most likely to understand. How in Merlin’s name could he approach her about it, though?
When the lecture was over, Hermione headed out of the room and vanished. He didn’t see her or her companions for the rest of the day. Apparently they weren’t attending the same presentations that he had signed up for. His mind was in a fog, pondering over and over again how to tell her his secret. Finally, he decided to approach it with class, but honesty. That was the best way, just explain the situation, ask for help, and get it over with. Hermione wouldn’t laugh at him - he knew that. The worst that could happen was she would politely say no, but talk to him about other options. She was the only person he could trust with so delicate a matter.
