Chapter Four

Disclaimer: Unfortunately I am not the owner of Harry Potter or anything related to him. I can wish all I want but the fact of the matter is that he already belongs to J.K Rowling...despite how ticked off I am at her for the direction that she's currently taking my two favourite characters!

A/N: I know I really should be starting another story when I currently have six to finish but this was a really good idea and if I didn't write it down I was going to forget it! Hope you like this one as much as you've like my other ones. Warning though this one is a little more tripped out then the others. And Yes, there is SLASH involved!

Chapter Four

Harry woke the next morning to Jason shaking him roughly. “Harry, wake up.”

“I'm up. I'm up,” he mumbled, sitting up groggily. “What's going on?”

“Where is Draco?”

Harry glanced over at him funny. “He's sleeping,” he muttered, before turning to glancing over to Draco's bed. He froze when his eyes met an empty bed that had yet to be slept in. “Fuck.”

Pushing the blankets back Harry stood up quickly, gathering his clothes. “Has anyone seen him?”

Jason shook his head. “We've only looked over the camp. Everyone is just getting up now.”

Harry nodded, throwing on his shoes. Fuck, fuck, fuck!

“Hey,” Alexander exclaimed, coming into the tent.”We've got a problem. The watch said they saw him heading out toward the caves late last night.”

“The caves? What are the caves?” Harry asked, glancing between them.

Jason glanced at Alex before turning to Harry and addressing his question. “The caves are what we've been monitoring. That's where the majority of the dark magic is originating from.”

“What?” Harry exclaimed. “And how dangerous are these caves?”

“It's hard to know what will happen,” Jason responded. “It depends on who enters the caves. So far only six of the people in this campsite can get inside the cave without being seriously injured.”

Harry grabbed his wand and paled. “What do you mean seriously injured?”

“Harry, there is really no reason to jump to conclusions yet. Draco may not of went to the caves. He was only seen heading in that direction.”

“Oh believe me, that's where he is,” Harry replied, pushing past them and stepping out of the tent. Heading over to the largest table, he pulled out a map of the area. “Where are these caves?”

Jason sighed. “They're on the northern section of the area, just past the ruins.”

“Is there anything else, besides the magic level that I should now about?” Harry asked, moving around the table.

“No, but I want you to take Alexander and Julian with you. Both can get into the caves. The rest of us will watch the perimeter and magic levels from here.”

Harry nodded. “Where's Julian?”

“He's on the outskirts of the camp, waiting for us,” Alex responded, heading off in the appropriate direction.

Harry raised an eyebrow and shot Jason a curious glance, who only smiled. “It's a twin thing.”

Shaking his head, he started after Alex. Catching up to him as Julian appeared in the distance.

“How long is it going to take to reach these caves?” Harry asked, worried about Draco.

“To walk it takes about an hour,” Alex responded, watching as Harry's eyes widened. “But, we aren't walking. So it should take only a matter of seconds.”

Harry shot him a confused look. “What?”

“You'll see,” Alex grinned, greeting his brother. “Hey bro, up for another rescue mission?”

“It's about time. This place was starting to get boring.”

Harry looked at them incredulously. “Let me remind you that Draco is currently walking into what could be a death trap.”

“Relax, Harry, lover-boy will be fine.” Julian grinned, placing a hand on Harry's shoulder, while Alex did the same to the other. Before Harry could even think of a response they stood outside of the entrance of the caves.

“What the hell did you do?” Harry asked, gapping slightly.

Grinning at each other they replied. “It's a twin thing.”

“Twin thing, my arse,” Harry responded, following them into the cave.

“As we get further in you'll feel pressure on your chest,” Julian explained, glancing back at Harry. “Don't worry about it, it's normal.”

Harry nodded and continued to follow them into the caves. Under different circumstances, he would have been astounded by the size of the caves, not to mention the markings on the walls. “What is this place?” he asked, starting to feel the pressure that Julian had mentioned.

This time, it was Alex who had answered. “We don't know. None of the markings are symbols we recognize. It isn't a language known to wizards or muggles. We can get a basic idea of some pictures, but other then that we have yet to uncover the meaning behind them.”

Harry nodded, trailing his fingers over one of the paintings. “I wonder -”

“Shh,” Julian suddenly hissed, causing silence to fall and motion to cease. “Can you hear that?”

Harry listened intently. It took a moment for his ears to pick up on the sound. In the distance he could hear a faint humming sound, and rhythmic tapping. “What is that?” he whispered, moving up beside Julian.

“I'm not sure. I've never heard that before,” he responded, moving forward.

Julian signaled them to remain quiet as they moved. Harry followed him, with Alex bringing up the rear. As they moved further into the caves the sound grew louder. Reaching a turn in the caves, Julian came to a stop, leaning against the wall.

“This passage leads into an inner chamber in the caves. The sound is coming from in there,” Julian explained, once the other two had come to a stop beside him. “Have your wands out and ready.”

Harry nodded and followed him around the corner and into the chamber he had been explaining. There were columns of rock jutting from the ground the the roof of the chamber. Alex immediately fell into step beside him as Julian did the same on the right.

“Draco?” Harry called out, stepping further into the room. The moment his voice echoed out into the room, the pitch of the humming increased almost painfully. “What the Hell is going on?”

“Over there,” Julian responded, pointing off to the left side of the chamber. “There's light coming from the far corner.”

Harry nodded and headed in that direction, stepping around the last of the rock columns only to freeze in his steps. “Draco?”

Harry watched transfixed as Draco stood in front of them, his eyes clouded over and chanting softly. A large fire blazing behind him. Taking a step forward, he paused when Julian's hand gripped his arm.

“Wait,” he commanded, softly. “We don't know what is happening to him. It could be a trap”

“We can't just leave him like that,” Harry responded.

“We won't,” Alex insured him, stepping up behind them. “But we can't just rush in there. Anything could happen.”

Harry nodded before turning back to Draco. “Draco, can you hear me?”

This time, when he called Draco's name, the humming and the steady beat stopped completely. “Oh shit,” Harry whispered, as a slow rumbling sound began to build up, and the stone beneath him began to vibrate.

“We have to get out of here,” Alex cried.

Harry glanced back to Draco, watching as he stumbled forward and his eyes flickered slightly. “Harry?” he muttered, before his knees buckled and he fell.

“Draco!” Harry shouted over the noise and moved forward immediately to catch him. The moment he touched Draco, the noise increased ten-fold.

“Harry, we have to get out of here,” Julian called, moving forward to help him up.

As Julian moved forward the pressure in Harry's chest increased until the point where it made him cry out. “Don't come any closer,” he gasped, gripping his chest.

“Harry, what's wrong?” Julian asked worried, and placed a hand on Harry's shoulder.

When his hand settled on Harry's shoulder, the Gryffindor felt an enormous amount of pressure run through his body and then forcefully out of him, throwing both Julian and Alex backwards into the cavern.

There was the briefest moment where he felt as though he was sinking, before darkness clouded his vision and he joined Draco in unconsciousness.

“I want constant watch on those caves!” Jason shouted, assembling the entire camp into action. “Have the magic readings running for even the slightest fluctuation in the levels.”

Moving to the main section of the camp, he began pulling out maps. “Lynn, send out a message to all the agents we have out there. Tell them to move to the caves.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Tristan, make sure you're ready in case anything happens,” Jason shouted, pulling out several maps of the area.

“Yes, sir.”

“Shang, how are those scans going?” he asked, moving to the table.

“I'm just bringing them up now, Jason,” Shang responded, his fingers flying across the keys of his laptop. “There everything is up, and -”

His response was cut off as the ground beneath them started to shake.

“Secure the equipment!” Jason shouted, moving quickly to ensure that nothing was thrown from the tables.

After several moments the shaking stopped completely.

“What the Hell was that?” Jason asked, straightening and turning to Lynn and Shang. Both had wide eyes and were frantically pulling up screen after screen. “What is it? What's going on?”

Lynn cast a quick glance at Shang before addressing Jason. “There is no reading from Julian and the others. They're gone!”
