What they do for The Order

As soon as Dumbledore caled his name Harry paled. He had to go first. Why did he have to go first? He always went first. But there was nothing he could do aout it so he did as Dumbledore asked.

"Harry could you stand right here please?" he asked as he pointed to a spot aout 2 feet away. "Now face me."

"Do you Harry James Potter agree to put your life on the line to help protect all wizard kind, be they good or evil."

"I do sir"

"Will you Harry James Potter help any member of this order with whatever task that they may need help with?"

"I do sir"

"Do you agree to never tell anyone about this order and what we do in it?"

"I do sir"

"Now touch your wand tip to mine and repeat after me"

"I Harry James Potter will do all that I can to help any member of this order with my life if necessary. And I agree to never tell anyone about this order or what we discuss knowing full well that I will be more than punished for my actions."

Harry paused for a moment realizing that it was to be like a wizards oath and he would forever be bound. After considering this and all that was said he repeated what the Headmaster had said. When he was done their wands glowed and a powerful magic encased them. The oath was completed.

"I now welcome Harry into our ranks. You may sit down now Harry."

Harry did as he was told and took his seat next to Hermione. It was now her turn.

It went on pretty much the same for her, Ron, Nevvile and Lavender. Once they were all inducted they went into the kitchen for a celebration feast. The Order now had five new members and they would indeed be useful in their own ways.

Ginny was allowed to come back down for the feast. And she had all sorts of questions for the newest members.

Hermione was the first to say anyhting to her.

"Ginny I am very sorry but we cannot discuss anything that went on in there." Ginny looked really hurt.

"Ginny please dont take it that way its not that I dont want to."

Ron was next. "Yea Ginny we would tell you if we could but we cant."

"But why cant you Ronald. We are family. We share everything."

Harry was the one to tell her. "Because Ginny we cant. Dumbledore made us take an oath so that the secreats cannot be revealed."

Now she understood. And now she wasnt so upset.

After they all ate Dumbledore called them all back to the meeting room and Ginny was once again sent upstairs.

"I would like to inform everyone that starting in the morning Ms. Granger will be assisting Severus with his potion to weaken Voldemort. I am expecting great things with the two of them working together. I would also like to inform Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley that they will start training in the muggle art of karate in the morning while Mr. Longbottom and Ms. Brown will be learning more about defensive spells and charms. I would like to wish you all a good night. The fun will begin in the morning."

Once Dumbledore finished everyone got ready to go to bed. Harry and Ron said goodnight to Hermione and went upstairs. Lavender and Neville went on their way as well. Hermione was just about to leave when Snape came up to her.

"Excuse me Ms. Granger but we are to start work in the morning. We will be leaving for the castle in five minutes. I suggest you go and get your things and do hurry back. I will not be made to wait."

Hermione looked shocked but held her tongue and went to grab her bags.

"Severus my boy you shouldnt be so hard on her. you two are to be spending alot of time together and it would be well to not get angry at each other."

"Yes Headmasater perhaps you are right but I would like to get started first thing in the morning, and to do that I need to be back at the castle."

"Okay Severus but please do not be hard on her we need her and her brain almost as much as we need you." And with that he nodded and left Snape alone to wait for Hermione.

Once she came downstairs they quickly left for the castle.

They aparated to the front gates and walked on from there. They walked in silence the entire way up the lawn. They were even quiet once inside the castle even though no one was there. They walked down to the dungons and he showed her to her rooms.

They stopped in front of a picture of a maiden in a field of unicorns. "Behind this painting is your rooms. You must first tell the maiden what you wish your password to be."

Hermione had to think for a second when it hit her. "I wish for my password to be Know-it-all." she said with a smile. She knew that was what Snape still thought of her as so it fit really nice. "Good night Professor I think I can take it from here." "Fine Ms. Granger but I expect to see you in the lab at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Make sure you get something to eat from the kitchens for it will be a long day." And with that he walked off. Hermione sighed and went into her rooms. It was going to be a long summer.
