“Is there any truth to what they are saying?” he asked.
“No, not at all” I said, knowing that my cracking voice told the truth.
“Then why do your pulse go up every time I come near you?” Sirius asked and closed in on me. I felt it happen, and felt the fear in my stomach.
“It doesn’t,” I answered with all the strength I could muster.
Sirius smiled, and continued. “Why does it send shivers down you spine every time I touch you?” he asked as he laid his hand on my chest.
“Why would you think that?” I asked weakly feeling a slight shake.
“And why is it then, that every time I hold you close you can’t help but imagine what it could lead to?” he asked, pulling me close into a warm embrace.
“Your wrong” I said, taking in his wonderful sent.
“Why is it then, that if I were to let my lips touch yours you couldn’t help but kiss me?” he whispered in my ears, and let our lips touch softly.
Suddenly I felt myself kissing the soft lips that I had so desperately wanted for so long. I put my arms around Sirius pulling him closer, and was glad to feel his mouth open, allowing my tongue access. Shortly after Sirius broke free, as I woke up from the trance and felt horrified. He was so dead on in his analysis. He had just let his lips touch mine, and I had not been able to stop myself from turning it into a passionate kiss, even though he had done nothing with his lips to encourage me to do so.
“Just say it. They were right, were they not?” Sirius asked. I was about to run out of the room when he added “don’t make me use magic in order to get you to stay Remus”.
The threat worked, and I stopped. I was caught, and there was no way out of it. I felt my heart beat so fast I was sure it would explode.
“Yes!” I cried. “They were right, okay? Are you happy now?”.
“I guess I am Moony” Sirius replied. “You see, for once you didn’t get to run away from it”.
“Yeah, well what do you want from me?” I asked desperately.
“The truth” Sirius replied. “The truth about what you want”.
“Well, I kind of thought that was pretty clear” I said with a slight anger.
“Just say it” Sirius said. “It doesn’t have to be this difficult”.
I sighed, and finally just gave up fighting it. “ I want you, okay?” I said angrily. “I’ve wanted you for years, and now more than ever. Now can I go?”. A tear of humiliation crept down my cheek.
“No you can’t” Sirius said. “You see, I want you too, so you might as well stay and claim what you’ve wanted for so long”.
“You mean?” I asked surprised.
“That’s exactly what I mean,” Sirius said, and I closed in on him. “You see, coming clean, and showing bravery sometimes pay of”.
We stood very close now, and I hesitated a bit. I felt the desire to meet Sirius lips in another kiss, but held back. Sirius turned to walk away, and I finally woke up, ignoring all warnings and fears. I grabbed his arm, turned him around, and pulled him in for a passionate kiss. I enjoyed feeling Sirius finally return my kiss with as much passion as I showed, as I buried my fingers in his long black hair.
Sirius backed away, saying, “I was wondering what it would take to get an reaction” before meeting my lips for another kiss. I felt his strong arms around me, pulling me as close as he possibly could. God it felt good.
“Yeah well, I’m not letting you go now” I said shortly after we had broken apart once again.
“I like the sound of that, so don’t you forget it” Sirius said, before letting himself be drawn in for yet another kiss.
