Chapter
Four: Left for Dead
Hermione
woke to find a cloud of red surrounding her face. Giving her eyes a moment to
focus she realized that Ginny was using her as a pillow. About to grumble, last
nights events came pouring back. Hermione jumped up, causing Ginny\'s head to hit
the floor with a thud. Hermione surveyed the room. The girls were all spread out
on the floor, tucked tightly together as if it could keep the safe.
"What
the hell was that for Hermione!" Ginny growled. Hermione looked at her with
bleary eyes and Ginny stopped. She too looked around to realize that last night
had been no dream.
"Oh
god! We have to go help them!" Ginny jumped and ran to yank open the
door.
"Wait,
Ginny no!" Hermione grabbed her and flung her from the door. The others
girls had woken up and were all watching in fear.
"What
if they are still here? We would be sitting ducks! We, we can\'t leave until the
order gets here, we need to be able to tell them what happened." Hermione
rasped.
"Okay,
okay. What are we supposed to do until then?"
"Merlin
Hermione! I\'m so hungry! Don\'t you know any spells to make food?" Lavender
moaned, weary and hungry. Keeping twelve teenage girls in one room for three
days was not a good idea. Not only that, but that had had no food since the
feast the night of the attack.
"It\'s
not something they teach us in DADA! Merlin!" Hermione buried her face in
her hands. She was the smartest witch of her age and she couldn\'t even manage
some food for herself and eleven other girls.
"Hermione,
we\'re going to have to sneak down to the kitchens. If we don\'t we\'ll all die or
hunger, that or we\'ll end up killing each other," Ginny glared at Lavender
who hadn\'t stopped complaining. Hermione bit her lip. "Besides, the death
eaters are probably gone by now."
Six
figures padded quietly down the hall. Hermione held her breath, the castle
seemed deserted. There was no evidence of any sort of battle at all. She kept
her eyes on Ginny\'s back, she was the only one who seemed to remember the way to
the kitchens. Ginny turned at a huge statue Hermione paid little attention to
and they were standing in front of a large picture of a bowl of fruit. Ginny
swore.
"What?"
Lavender Brown hissed from somewhere behind Hermione. She had insisted on being
one of those to come, protesting that Hermione and Ginny would hoard the best
food. A few other girls had been brave enough to come as well, the others were
waiting in the dorm.
"I
don\'t remember how we are supposed to get in!" Ginny hissed.
"Damn."
Hermione said quietly, the only one who was still cautious enough to whisper.
"Don\'t you ask it? Or say a password or something?"
"I
don\'t remember! Fred and George always did it! It was something funny, they
always laughed like it was a joke," Ginny mumbled.
"Tickle
the Pear perhaps?" Some one said. Ginny jumped up.
"Ya
that\'s it! How did you-" Ginny turned and her eyes widened in horror.
Behind them stood five death eaters who looked extremely pleased with
themselves.
"What\'s
taking them so long?" Parvati complained.
"Probably
eating," Romilda replied with a frown.
"Merlin,
I wish we had some food!" Parvati groaned. A loud pop made the girls
scream. In front of them stood a house elf, holding a platter of food.
"Where
the devil did you come from!?" Parvati yelled, frightened.
"My
job is to serve the students miss. All you is having to do is call us
miss."
Next chapter will be plot with some LIME thrown in. Don\'t worry though, chapter 6 will be full on LEMON yumminess
