~Chapter Four~


Bella was beyond upset that Snape decided to just leave her standing there in the Great Hall,as she headed towards the dungeon\'s angerly.She knew she was there for another purpose other than keeping a watchful eye on Snape,but over the past few month\'s she admitted that she had grown rather attached to him.As she said the password to the portrait of the hissing snake,she entered his chambers to find him sitting by the fireplace.He looked very somber and distracted,as he did not even seem to notice when she decided to sit across from him.She stared into his muddy brown eyes for any hint of recognition,as he merely glared at her and stared intently at the growing fire.He was like this most of the time but she knew that he had to work with her,even though his actions stated that he would rather be alone.Bella stared at him curiously not able but to wonder why he disliked her company.She knew that she was rather pleasing on the eyes and that many wizards faired her,yet she could not help but to be attracted to Snape.She knew it was because he seemed to be sort of a challenge,as she stared at him intently.

\"Don\'t you have work to do with me tonight,Severus?It was not very kind for you to leave me there in the Great Hall the way that you did.Are you refusing to do your work by retreating to your chambers and ignoring me as usuall?\"Bella states in an airy tone,as Snape glares at her angerly.

\"I shall turn in my report tonight on my findings these previous month\'s...I beleave your job is to make sure that no one knows that I have left.Even though your precense here is under orders...I do tend to do things by myself quite more often than you realize.\"Snape states glaring at her,as she smirks evily.

\"I understand this Severus but there are going to be times when you need my valued information,ecspecially in regards to Draco Malfoy.I don\'t beleave you would wish me to say anything to the Dark Lord about the way he is acting lately.\"Bella states evily,as he looks towards her curiously.

\"What are you talking about woman!\"He snaps angerly,as a dark smile runs across her face.

\"Only that Mr.Malfoy is failing to do what he has been asked to do.It seems that annoying ghost Moaning Myrtle is comforting him in the girls bathroom most days.He goes in there and cries his wittle eyes out,extremly pathetic if I do say so myself.Of course,I won\'t report this to the Dark Lord or the fact that Mr.Malfoy was almost discovered by an auror in Knocturn Alley,if you will only work with me like you should.\"Bella states smirking,as Snape glares at her angerly.

\"Why was Mr.Malfoy in Knocturn Alley?\"He aks her with a dangerous glare,as she smiles at him.

\"Only the Dark Lord knows why at this point in time.Only be happy that I was there to save your poor godson,otherwise im sure he would most certainly be dead.Now,do we have a deal Severus or shall I report my findings on Malfoy to the Dark Lord.\"Bella states evily,as he glares at her intently.

\"I suppose I do not have a choice in the matter but I assure you that this will not keep you close to me for very long.After we are finished with our work I have no more use for your so called assistance.\"Snape states rising from his chair and getting ready to leave,as she stares at him intently.

\"We shall see Severus...\"She states with an evil grin,as he glares at her then leaves the room angerly.

Hermione woke up the next morning bright and early,feeling a bit more rested than previous weeks.She quickly rose to her feet ,feeding Crookshanks and throwing on her school robes.As she walked down to the common room,the sun faintly seemed to seep in through the windows,as she realized everyone must have stayed up late last night and was still asleep.She decided to go for a brisk walk on the grounds before classes,as she walked by the lake with her school books close at hand.She could not help but think about everything that happened last night,as she wondered what Ron and Snape must be thinking about her.She knew Ron was probably upset at her for running out on him last night and Snape was defenitlly angery about her kissing Ron in front of him!She wondered what he was going to say or do to her in detention later that night,as she shuttered at the thought of something along the lines of him wanting to do nothing more with her.She clutched her stomach intently hoping that would not be the case,as she walked towards the school for her morning classes.

Hermione tried not to think about her detention later that evening,as she focused all of her attention in her classes for the day.Her Professor\'s were pleased that she seemed to be back to her normal self,but little did they know what sort of issues she had to push out of her mind just to preform the simplest of tasks.As lunch came about,Hermione tried to sit away from Ron as far as she could,as she finally enjoyed a good meal despite her nerves.She then headed towards potion\'s with Professor Klink,which was in a diffrent room,as Snape used the old potion\'s room for his own classes.As she began to head into her last class of the day,she noticed Ron walking somberly towards the dungeon\'s.She knew he was about to serve his detention,as she could not help but feel completly to blame for this.Still she managed to make her way into her last class without saying a word to Ron,and was able to finish her work even though she was rather worried what was happening down in the dungeon\'s.

As Hermione finally finished her classes for the day,she realized she only had two hours before her own detention started.As she headed towards the common room to drop of her books and change out of her robes,she noticed Harry just sitting there on the sofa with a letter in his hand.She walked towards him curiously,wondering what he was reading,as he looked up at her with a colorless look in his face.Hermione thought she was about to faint,as she caught herself on one of the arm chairs.The only other time she had seen him look that way was when Sirius died,and she feared that something had happened to Lupin.Hermione sat down shakily across from Harry,as he looked over at her blankly.

\"Lupin is at St.Mungo\'s...they say he is critical at the moment and he is in a coma...they don\'t know if he is going to make it.Dumbledore went there to see if he could help and some of the other member\'s of the order.They thought it would be best if I stayed here.\"He states angerly as he balls up his fist.Hermione stares at him with concern but also feel\'s completely distraught over the situation.

\"That is horrible,Harry!They should have let you go to the hospital!I know we all have to take precautions but Lupin is all you have left!\"Hermione states angerly,as Harry slams his fist into the coffee table,causing the other students in the common room to look over curiously.

\"Im getting tired of being kept under lock and key!If im so much apart of this then I should be there,not sitting here on my ass doing nothing!\"Harry shouts angerly,as he storms out of the common room,grabbing his broom as he goes.

Hermione knew that Harry was going to try to go there by himself and this was one time she was not going to stop him.After all that he has been through,she knew that he deserved to be there with his friend.As Hermione sat there for a moment,letting what she heard Harry tell her take effect,Ron walked in the room looking very tired and angery.She wanted to quickly run and hide somewhere,but she knew that she was going to have to tell Ron what was going on.As Ron sat down in an armchair across from her,she looked over at him somberly.

\"I have to tell you something important,Ron...It\'s about Lupin...\"Hermione states,as Ron looks over at her blankly.

\"Lupin was hurt pretty badly and is in a coma at St.Mungo\'s hospital.Harry just left with his broom to go there...I mean can you beleave that they wanted him to stay here!\"Hermione states distraught,as Ron looks towards her sadly.

\"I suppose they were just trying to protect him...\"Ron states trailing off,as he holds his hand in pain.Hermione stares at him curiously,noticing that his hand is bleeding a bit,as she stares in horror.

\"What happened to you!\"Hermione states rushing towards him,as he stares at her angerly.

\"Why should you care...you have only been ignoring me all day!If you don\'t want to be with me just tell me that what happened last night was a mistake,I hate playing games with you Hermione.\"Ron states angerly,as she stares at him in shock.She never new Ron to be so blunt concerning there relationship together,as she realized Snape must have did something horrible to him in detention.

\"It is not that I thought it was a mistake but I would like us to just be friends...at least at the moment.Im dealing with alot of things right now you could\'nt understand.\"Hermione states realizing that what she is saying sounds a bit like what Snape told her but in a diffrent way,as she stares at Ron in distress.

\"Your dealing with alot of things!Do you know what that git did to me tonight because of you!He used legilimency on me to see if there was anything else I should not be doing!Then the git pulled out the same quill Umbridge used on Harry and made me write three rolls of parchment stating that I will behave while in school until I bleed!\"Ron shouts angerly,as everyone in the common room seems to be listening to there conversation.

All Hermione could do was stare at him in shock,as Ron seemed to begin to cry and dash upstairs to his dormiatory.She knew that Snape had a darker side,but she never knew that anything like this would happen!Just to think that the father of her unborn child did this to her friend,made her very sick to her stomach.Of course she knew the reason why he did it,but she still never thought he would be this harsh on Ron.As she walked to her chambers and layed her books on the side of her bed,she layed down for a moment and trembled at the thought of going to her own detention.*Im sure he would not hurt me the way he did Ron,but if not what else would he have planned?*Hermione thinks,as she shivers at the thought.She then begins to take of her robes and changes into a rather low cut shirt and tight blue jeans.She figured she would look as pleasing to him as she could without looking like a whore,as she tamed her hair a bit and actually put on a little lipstick and eyeliner.She figured if he thought about how pleasing she looked,her puishment would not be as severe,as she watched the clock nervously.

As she headed towards the Dungeon\'s to serve her detention,she noticed that the door was wide open and she could see him sitting at his desk.As she walked inside nervously and sat in one of the seats across from his desk,he stared at her with a piercing gaze and then shut the door closed with a flick of his wand.As they both sat there in silence for a moment,he looked up from his paper work and glared at her angerly.Hermione felt as if she was going to faint but she had to stand her ground,as she returned his glare with an equally angery one.

\"Miss Granger,I do not wish to do the same to you as I did to Mr.Weasely...However,if you do not tell me what I want to hear I will have no choice.\"Snape says to her in a demanding tone,as she stares at him angerly.

What do you want to know?\"Hermione asks crossing her arms,as Snape walks towards her.He stands only a few inches from where she is sitting,as he peers down at her angerly.

\"Why did you decide to kiss Mr.Weasely in front of me?\"Snape states glaring,as she smiles at him.

\"The same reason you kissed Bella...because I felt like it!\"Hermione states angerly as he stares at her blankly.

\"I assure you that what I did with Bella that night was nothing more than an act.I have no interest in her...However,you seemed to be enjoying yourself if it was some sort of act of revenge.\"He states raising an eyebrow towards her,as she stares at him curiously.

\"We are supposed to act as teacher and student for the time being am I right?So why should it matter what I do with Ron?\"Hermione asks curiously,as he glares at her angerly.

\"Do you not agree that what we shared that night at Grimmauld place was rather special,Hermione.I understand we must keep up the apperance that we are merely teacher and student,but that does not mean that I do not wish there to be something more after all of my work is done.\"He states seeming rather shocked that he let the words come out of his mouth,as Hermione stares at him intently.

\"I think about you all the time...even at moments when I don\'t want to.And you know I don\'t love Ron are anything...I suppose im just feeling very lonely at the moment and im also dealing with things that you could not understand...\"Hermione states trailing off into her words,as Snape places his hand on her face.

\"What makes you think I would not understand what you are going through?I too carry quite a burden on my shoulders...I assure you whatever you are going through could not possibly be as tasking as what I have endured.But as I do not wish to speak about it,I do not expect you to reveal anything to me that you do not wish.\"Snape states with more of a warm tone to his voice,as she looks down at her stomach hesitantly.She wanted to tell him about the baby,but she knew that would only be another burden on his shoulders,as she sighs heavily.

\"I can\'t talk about it right now...I will tell you when I think the time is right.\"Hermione states,as he stares at her curiously but pushes the topic no further as he caresses her in his arms.

Hermione could tell that the feeling she had at this moment was much stronger than anything she had ever felt before,as he held her and ran his hands down her back.She wanted to shout at him for what he did to Ron and tell him that she was carrying his child,but all of these thoughts seemed to leave her mind as he began kissing her lips gentley.As he picked her up in his arms and placed her on his desk,Hermione knew where this was going and she most defenitly was not going to stop him.As he began to reach his hands under her shirt and grab her breasts forcefully,she could not help but to let out a sigh of relief from the frustration she had been feeling.She knew that she wanted him as bad as he wanted her,as she began stroking at the buldge in his crotch vigorously.As he began to unbutton her shirt however,Hermione heard the door to the room open and quickly pushed him away.As Hermione franticly stood to her feet,not able yet to look up to see who was there,she heard the clicking of heels agianst the floor.As she looked up she realized that it was Bella and she did not look very happy,as she scowled at both of them.

\"You were not in your chambers so I decided to come here.Was I intruding on something,Severus?\"Bella asks with a hint of resent in her tone,as Hermione glares at her angerly.

\"I was merely carrying out a detention with Miss Granger.Did you need something?\"He asks her in a frustrated tone,as she smiles at him.

\"Actually,yes I do.Will you come with me,Severus.\"She states sweetly,as Snape glares at Bella angerly.He then turns towards Hermione,who looks as if she is about to hex Bella into oblivion.

\"We shall finish our detention on a later day...Miss Granger.I will send you an owl with the instructions.\"Snape states seeming a bit frustrated,as he follows Bella out of the room.

Hermione feels as if she is going to exploded,wishing that she would have hexed her on sight!Hermione figures she has to get Snape to tell her why he has to pretend to be married to this woman.If he won\'t tell her then she figures she will have to find it out on her own,as the sight of this Bella turns her stomach.She could tell that Snape did not much like being around her,which only made her more curious as she left the classroom.*I will have to follow them quietly and hope that Harry did not decide to come back for the invisibility cloak.*Hermione thinks to herself,as she follows the sound of Bella\'s heels quietly around the cornor.

Is Snape doing all of this for \"You know who\" on Dumbledore\'s secret orders or is he still a Deatheater?What will Hermione find out when she follows them?Will someone find out about there affair?When will Hermione finally tell Snape about the baby?I will write the next chapter soon.
