Shut Up!

Chapter three : The real blues


Sleeping that night was not easy at all for Hermione. She didn’t feel threatened by Malfoy’s words .Actually she would have been happy to feel threatened by him , but no….she had to feel the opposite. And it was all of the sudden. It was his attitude .He was open with his sexuality and she just felt attracted to the bad boy . Typical ,she thought, but this bad boy could give her lots of trouble, plus she meant it when she said she would be a nun rather than touch him. But again , another problem was that they were touching , increasingly often and she felt that she was the one that backed away every time. What every time , she mentally kicked herself. He had only touched her two times . But it seemed to be enough. And then there was Ron. She blushed thinking about him . She still liked him , but Ron was blissfully playing the oblivious school boy . He had indeed been clear on the train … he did not want to jeopardize their friendship . But she knew that things had changed during the summer. She could feel it , and the new Ron was more reserved , particularly around her. It was like the many times they had fought and after making up he would not tease or laugh at her. She just prayed the new Ron would go away soon …before Malfoy took his place in her fantasies. And it suddenly hit her “If I were you , I would be careful how I act around myself , Granger . You see, we’ll be making rounds starting tomorrow evening . It’s a big , big school , full of dark , secret corridors , and I can think of a least one way to keep you quiet . “ Oh no…..they had to patrol , and he was right , there was no better excuse for him to get her alone , and helpless somewhere secluded in the castle . It was settled , she would glue her wand to her hand from now on .

“And you say you’re actually planning to patrol with her? I can’t even begin to imagine how boring those hours will be” Blaise laughed at Draco the next day.
“It’s only for two hours, and as I’ve found out , we can cut is short. Plus Zabini , I‘ve had the pleasure to find out that Granger likes to watch.” Draco smirked.
“Watch what ? The biorhythm of growing trees?”
“Last night I was enjoying the company of a very nice young lady , when she burst into the common room , threw a fit , but still hung round while we were making out.”
Blaise actually let out a loud laugh at this , and grinned just as Draco did .
“So , you’re discovering the Head Girl’s dirty secrets. Are you planning to find out more about her tonight on patrol?”
“Do you think she’s worth it ?” Draco sneered.
“Don’t even try that on me!” Blaise laughed again ,”if you thought she wasn’t worth it , you wouldn’t have made sure she found you with another girl, and given her what probably was a very good show in groping and moaning.I’m just curious to see what you’re trying to get out of it. “
Draco just stared out of the window, his thoughts drifting to what he had told her. She was so easy to scare, and so easy to intimidate. He was sure that she would not be so careless about her wand , and that she would not hesitate to jinx him .
“ Still with me ,Draco ?” said Blaise waving a hand in front of Draco’s empty stare.
“Spaced out a little I guess.”
“Hmph , let me tell you this Malfoy , if you’re planning to do anything with the Head Girl , you’re going to have to alter her memory , or strap her to a board throughout the whole procedure. Odds are she’ll curse your hair off.”
“Heh , Draco grinned, don’t joke with that”

“Miss Granger, Mr.Malfoy, I want you both in the front row , and the same table.”
“But Professor McGona-“
“Mr. Weasley , if I were you I would concentrate on transforming that table’s leg back to its original form. That flamingo leg might not hold too long.”
Both Hermione and Draco rose and moved to the from of the class , everyone staring at them , wondering what McGonagall had in mind.
“Very good, we can continues today’s lesson…”
“Why did she bring me here?” Hermione whispered to Mafloy.
“How should I know. I heard as little as you did of her explanation.”
“But she must know we despise each other”
“Now Granger, you hurt my feelings “ Draco turned to her and smirked “you must know I’ve never despised you .”
“Really? And I guess last night you were only showing your affections towards me , right? “
He leaned dangerously close, so that anyone looking would see he was whispering to her
“Well, by the way you responded to me I might think you enjoyed it . Don’t feel ashamed , I have to say I quite liked lingering on your chest”
Her eyes widened , and for a moment, she thought she did not register correctly. How dare he bring up the subject of him almost ……fondling her breasts . Ron was probably looking at them , wondering why Malfoy was so close to her, why he was grinning so close to her face.
“Get back Malfoy , and don’t you dare bring up the subject of last night. You were a b-“
“We’re in class Granger so I can’t pin you down , and honestly I’m a little tired of you calling me a bastard . Try and find something more original .”
“ Fine Malfoy ,next time you come that close to me , I promise your face will regret it. I think you’ll truly be hurt by the loss of your only asset”
“Try me Granger , see what I can do to you, maybe I have other assets as well .Maybe you won’t be so keen on deforming my face.”
“How dare you ?” she let it slip a little too loud , and Professor McGonagall spun round and eyed her intently.
“Miss Granger , please try and keep your conversation with Mr. Malfoy down, I realize both of you are ahead in class, but others are not as fortunate as you”
Hermione blushed violently , and Draco smirked with satisfaction.
At the end of class , she went straight to the teacher’s desk where the teacher was seated ,and tried to control her tone
“I’m sorry professor, but why did me and Malfoy have to sit together this class?”
“ Because both of you were ahead, and I want the rest of my class to pass their examinations even when you aren’t around to tell them how to hold the wand. “
“But Professor , Malfoy is just-“
“Malfoy is how he’s supposed to be, and so are you. You’re young , and your past together is not the most brilliant, but I expect a better effort on coming to terms with each other .At least from your part.”

“All right Malfoy , I figured out a simple way for us to refrain from hexing each other tonight. Let’s both keep quiet. It’s simple, all we have to do is keep our mouths shut, so the we won’t insult each other”
“I have to say I didn’t think you’d resort to such desperate measures just to bear my company “
“Let’s just say I’ll try my best if you do”

And so they started their rounds that evening . The castle was quiet , and so it was supposed to be .It was after curfew for most of the students , but they did find a couple of lost first years on the second floor, and saw the shadows of a two girls run out of the girl’s bathroom before they could get to them . Overall , the whole “keep quiet” policy worked. Neither uttered a word , and they managed not to insult each other. That was until they were on the fifth floor , and almost an hour had passes. Malfoy spoke first.
“You know, I’ve been thinking all this time. While we were walking I mean . “
“Yes?” she asked hoping he would not incite her into a fight.
“Let’s play a game”
“I’m sorry?” that was the last thing she had expected from him.
“A game , and not just any game, the best game for people trying to deal with issues …. Truth or dare “ he grinned.
“Was that a joke? Because I’ve heard even you blurt out better jokes.”
“I mean it Granger. Let’s see if you can be sincere with me. After all, we’re supposed to be friends, right?”
“Supposed….I know you’re trying to make me feel bad about something. I mean , why would I tell you secrets of mine?”
“I’ll tell you some of mine. If I don’t pick dare that is…. Maybe you should pick dare as well.” he smirked.
“And have to strut into the Great Hall in my nightgown? No thank you.”
“Ok…simple, and only rule, we don’t dare each other to do anything humiliating-“
“Or that involves a public .”
“-and we don’t use the things we find out to hurt each other”
“Alright, but I can say no to certain truths.”
“Two times only.” he said, “Truth or dare, Granger?”
“What happened to ladies first?”
“Well you’re first to answer right? Go on”
“Truth “
“Figures….All right , let’s rewind to last night-“
“I was sure you would bring that out again Malfoy. I don’t know why I agreed to this stupid game .” she burst suddenly, and he felt the rage dripping from her words , but he just smiled.
“Listen to me Granger , you can say no to my questions 2 times. Did Weasel ever make you whimper like you did?”
She hated herself for blushing so easily. As she tried to regain her composure , she said with a cold voice
“I’ll try another question.” She knew the answer was no…he knew it as well , but she would not give him the pleasure of her testimony.
“Fine...Why did you continue watching me while that girl was there?”
“I was not-“
“Don’t try and deny it…tell me why.”
“Fine, I’m up to your second question that’ll be without an answer.”
“Bashful , aren’t we? Even better. You have to answer this one Granger, did you like the feeling of me against you ?”
She cursed herself for not continuing to walk , but for a fleeting moment stopping in shock . It was clear that he was enjoying the sight of her being flushed , and she tried to make it look as though she had hit something that made her stop. She pulled herself together , and said flatly
“No”
It happened in a flash, again he was incredibly fast, as he pinned her to the wall.
“Don’t you realize how obvious you are? It shows on your pretty face. I have to say , it was fun seeing you deny it, but come on Granger, at least now , while your face is red ,admit you liked it . “ He was doing the same thing he did to her on the first night, pressing her into the wall .This time she herself pushed further into the concrete to distance herself from him . She refused to answer, even to say no again . She hated the way he looked into her eyes , he seemed determined, he seemed like he could read her own mind , and still….there was something there…deep in his grey eyes , she saw a slight flicker…
“I told you to be careful on these dark corridors , I thought you paid more attention last night .Or were you busy thinking about….something else?” He was dangerously close to her , but he did not press his body onto hers like he did before. He was still whispering and blowing warm wafts of air into her ear.
But he was wrong…she had paid attention to every word he had said , and this time she would not let him have his way with her.
“You’re forgetting ,Malfoy “ she said puling herself together “ that I still have my wand , and I’m only telling you this because I want to give you the option of backing away before I turn you into a slug. Or are you more fond of the ferret you were in fourth year?”
“Touché Granger , I knew your brain would be working in overdrive trying to get back at me …but…” he did not get close , but suddenly she felt warm ….all through her body…”I still have at leas one trick up my sleeve “ he said in a whisper so low he was sure she had barely made out a few words…With that he brutally pulled her towards him , and one of his legs went between hers , and kicked her left leg. She lost her balance and fell forward .Before she knew it , Draco Malfoy was lying on the floor , she on top of him straddling his hips. A wicked little smirk played upon his lips , his eyes closed as if it was the deepest of pleasures. She was not sure how they had gotten into this position , but she was suddenly aware of his hands on her hips , not letting her get up .Suddenly she felt rage , how dare he do this every single day ? She was sure he wanted to seduce her so that he could brag about bagging the Head Girl . Well Hermione Granger would not have that , especially from a little ferret like Malfoy .
“Take this as your last warning Malfoy , let go of me , and I may not use a curse that requires two weeks in the hospital wing. “
He didn’t open his eyes , and didn’t say anything. He was just lying there with a satisfied grin on his face.
“Did you hear me ?I said let go Malfoy” And this time she pressed her wand to his forehead. The action seemed to awake him , and he lazily opened his eyes. He opened his mouth to speak , but it was such a low mutter she didn’t understand anything. “Never learn do you?” he had said , and with that a hand left her hips , and kicked her wand away from his face. And again , it lay abandoned on the floor , too far for her to reach . Only this time she was on top of the whole thing .
“That was really stupid Malfoy . Once I get my wand back you’re going to wish you never touched me . And why are you still grinning?”
It was true, he did not seem at all disturbed by her words , his eyes fixed on her. They now had a pale shade of blue , and he was suddenly serious.
“Kiss me “ he said all of the sudden .
“I’m sorry?” she said not believing her ears .
“You heard me Granger, I want you to kiss me “
“I think the fall really affected you , can you hear yourself speak ?” she said , a look of deep shock on her face. She was even a bit afraid, maybe he had gone mad , why else would he make such a request?”
“So you refuse to kiss me , do you Granger? “ he said in a low voice . And with a sift movement he turned her on her back so that once again he was on top of her .
“I rather enjoyed you on top, but sometimes you just have to take things into your own hands , right?” he whispered as he dived for her neck , and planted butterfly kisses up to her lips .”I really don’t understand why you refuse to grant me the pleasure of a kiss . “ he whispered close to her mouth .
“Because I don’t like you Malfoy , you’re just a stupid little boy that can’t get a girl , so he takes her the only way he knows, by force. “ He could feel the hate in her words , and it struck him as odd that he actually cared.
“Why do you resist me ?” he asked, but didn’t wait for her answer ” You’re alone now , with only me, wandless and with no one to come for you. But even so Granger , I ask you , would it hurt for me to kiss you now ? Would you change ? Would anyone notice? If I promise to leave you alone , not try and get you and me in such interesting positions again , would you let me kiss me ?”
“You can kiss me Malfoy , you’re the one with the upper hand , I don’t understand why you’re asking permission , or talking philosophy . “
“Because I know you want me to kiss you , but can’t bring yourself to admit it. “ This time he lowered himself even closer, he was inches from her lips , and muttered “ I promise it’s the last time…” before catching her lips .
Her eyes were still wide in shock , and she could see his closed lids as he was gently nibbling on her lower lip. But it was gone as soon as it happened , and he pulled away, leaving her with a strange sense of loss. He looked deeply disappointed , and he said
“Granger , if only for now , why don’t you play along ? “
She still had a strange expression on her face, as if she wasn’t sure what hit her.
“Can you hear me Granger?” he called out to her. She was still staring into space. His hand reached out to cup her cheek , and she snapped out of her trance.
“Would you whimper again for me ?” he asked softly , as his lips descended upon hers again , and this time she did close her eyes , and she felt as if she had left the world . More than anything his words kept echoing in her head , as he took each lip between his. One of his hands was holding the back of her head, and he was using the other to keep his body from resting on hers completely. But she knew that if they had gotten here , it was no use holding back , and she picked up her courage and responded by taking his upper lip between hers , and gently licking it . He hesitated a second , probably shocked that she had decided to participate , and then mover his hand from under her head to her cheek , and cupped it again , bringing her closer. She open her lips slightly to let out a low breath , and he took the chance to snake his tongue into her mouth . At this she truly let out a low moan , and pushed more into him . But he was still keeping his body far from hers , as he encircled her tongue with his . She was still hesitant , and he took his mouth away from hers for a few seconds , to whisper in her ear “Touch me “ .
It seemed like a line in a cheap smut book , and she still couldn’t bring herself to reach out to him . But this time , he didn’t wait for her to think , and moved his hand towards her belly , and he let his fingers drift up and down on it , never touching her breasts , but going close enough that she gasped , and one of her hands flew to the one he was using to keep himself in balance . She knocked it , and he gently fell fully on her body . The contact made her push herself even more into him , as she too began exploring his mouth with her tongue . It was strange the way they reacted one to another , one pushing the other to go further , and the other going further with each touch . It was when he slightly touched her breast , that she really pushed into his body , an her hips moved against his . This time , he moaned deep into her mouth , and continued kissing her even more fiercely . But reality hit Hermione when her head finally felt the cold , hard cement beneath her . She brought herself to put her hands between their bodies ,and push him off . He seemed thoroughly displeased , and looked down at her , a quiet storm brewing in the depths of his eyes .
“We’re in the middle of a corridor Malfoy . This has gone too far. “
“This what ? “He said never getting up from atop her.
“ Your kiss “ she said blushing again “it wasn’t just a kiss “
“Well , maybe you didn’t know how a real kiss is supposed to feel . I don’t reckon Weasley’s technique is as good, right?”
For one moment it actually seemed possible that she could get along with him . For a moment she didn’t want him off her , but his sudden mention of Ron made her scream inside with anger.
“Get off me Malfoy “ she said in a dangerously low voice, and this time he complied , lowering his hand to help her get up , but she didn’t take it . She was far too angry , and she didn’t want to think about the fact that she had let him know how much she enjoyed his presence.
“The first thing she did was reach for her wand , and without warning she threw a random jinx at him , one that he blocked , although at the last moment. She was silent , and he didn’t like it . He tried to get closer , but she raised her wand .
“ I haven’t got the strength to shout at you at the moment , but it’s a lucky thing we know non verbal spells, right? Don’t get any closer Malfoy , I mean it .”
“ Are you planning on denying it this time as well Granger? “ he demanded , a little angry himself.
She hesitated, and them spoke calmly
“That was a stupid thing to do , but even you Malfoy , must know that once you close your eyes , you can imagine anyone kissing you.”
“Bollocks Granger ! Don’t dare suggest you weren’t thinking of me .” he snapped , but rage filed him as it occurred to him hat maybe she had imagined the Weasel kissing her like that. Was it the reason she had responded?
She lowered her head, and didn’t meet his eyes as she said
“You promised you wouldn’t ask anything of me from now on . It was a one time thing. Even if I did enjoy it , it will not repeat itself . “
She was really disturbed by the intensity of the things that had happened , and all she wanted to do was go to her room , and go to sleep (she was sure she’d fall asleep as soon as she hit the pillow) .
“ You never answered my question Granger , but I’m guessing you did like the feeling of he against you by the way you reacted just now. But , let’s not let the game go to waste. You never answered any of my questions. You weren’t thinking of the Weasel… you DID want me to keep on touching and kissing you , didn’t you?”
“You know I won’t answer that. “ she said slowly.
“I already know the answer Granger, and so do you. You weren’t the only one enjoying yourself tonight, and I’m not denying the fact that it did feel good to have your body close to mine “
“That’s enough “ she yelled . But his words had deeply disturbed her . So he had also enjoyed himself . But she thought, that it didn’t matter who the girl was , as long as her body was nice . She was no different from any other of the girls he kissed and made out with.
“Let’s go back to the common room, it’s too late to finish rounds. You go in front” she said , as he silently led the way to their quarters . As soon as she was in , she didn’t even cast him a second look , and went straight for her bedroom. She was right, she fell into a dreamless sleep immediately.

This chapter’s title has probably nothing to do with the happenings , but hey , I like it :D Is the little scene between Draco and Hermione nice ? Hope I didn’t let you down with the little development in this chapter. (I guess the dialogue took up most of the story , did you like it that way?)
