“No, Gina. This doesn’t look right either.” Harry sighed, removing a green dress robe. “What does one wear to meet his future best friend, Gina?”
“Well, Gina thinks that, one should not care what one looks like around a true friend.” The house elf said thoughtfully, folding up yet another rejected garment.
“But I want to make a good impression Gina.” Harry’s voice was muffled as he pulled the robe off over his head.
“Well, what does Master Harry plan to do with Master Draconis?”
Harry blinked, “I hadn’t thought of that. I’ve never had a friend. I don’t know what to do with him.”
“Gina thinks that…maybe friends is for playing with, sir?”
“Oh.” Harry smiled. “I can do that! I can show him my train set, and my broomstick and, and-” Gina grinned.
“Master Harry is forgetting himself.” She said softly. Harry blushed.
“Yes. Playing shall suit me quite well.”

Gina sighed. She hated to see Master Harry forced to act so grown up when he was still just a child. He should be free to get excited, play with lots of children, and not worry about looking presentable.
“Why does not Master Harry just wear some plain robes? If Master Harry is to play then he would not wish to dirty his good ones, would he?”
“I suppose your right Gina.” The house elf smiled, pleased and rushed off to fetch the robe.

Harry looked at his reflection in the mirror. In less then an hour he would meet his first real friend; Master Lucius’ son. What if Draconis did not like him? Would Master Lucius be upset? Would Draconis look like his father? Harry tried to imagine a small version of Master Lucius. A boy with the same platinum hair, and steel grey eyes.
“I hope he likes me.”

“Draco, you are to be on your best behaviour, understand me?” Lucius instructed, kneeling down, hands on his son’s shoulders.
“Yes father. I will be good. I promise.” The blonde child said grumpily.
“Draconis? What’s the matter?” Lucius said sternly.
“Dad!” His son glared, crossing his arms.
“Draco. What’s the matter?” His father corrected.
“I don’t want to meet him. He’s probably no fun.” He pouted.
“Draco. Harry is a very nice little boy, who needs a friend.”
“…If I don’t like him do I have to go again?”
“You’ll like him, trust me.”

The two children starred at each other warily. Lucius nudged his son and Draco bowed deeply.
“It is a pleasure to meet you Master Harry.” He said agitatedly.
“Like wise Draconis.” Harry said with a low bow.
Tom smiled.
“Good. We’ll leave you two children to then, shall we?”
Lucius and Tom took their leave and Harry lead Draco up to his room.

“What would you like to do Draconis?”
Draco scowled, stalking over and stamping as hard as he could on Harry’s right foot. Harry let out an unearthly howl.
“What was that for!?”
“Don’t call me that!”
“It’s your name!”
“Master Harry! Master Draco! You must not fight!” Gina said, appearing by their side to spilt the two up.
“He hurt me!” Harry cried, pointing accusingly at the young Malfoy.
“He called me Draconis!” The blonde countered, sticking out his tongue.
“He-”
Gina snapped her fingers and suddenly the boys found themselves incapable of speech.
“Children! You must get along! You are to be friends. I am sure Master Harry meant no insult by calling you by your full name. And Master Draco, you should not hurt people you have only just met. Now behave yourselves.” She removed her spell, and the two children looked at the ground, refusing to meet the other’s eye.
“…I’m sorry.” Harry muttered. “I will call you Draco.”
“…I’m sorry I stomped on your foot.” Draco said looking up.
Gina smiled, satisfied and returned to her duties.
Harry was quiet a moment, and then looked up excitedly.
“Want to play with my train set!?”
Draco grinned, eyes wide.
“Okay!”
Harry grabbed his hand and dragged him across the room, chattering excitedly about the magical toy.

Gina looked up from her sweeping at the two boys, huddled over the train set, chatting amicably. It seemed they were comrades already. Gina smiled to herself, happy for young Harry.
“Master Draco is a good man for befriending Master Harry.”
