Disclaimer: Obviously not mine… okay well if you don’t recognize it then it’s mine. Like Emi… she’s mine. And the concept to bring back those from the dead… if there is a mention of it then I haven’t done my work properly and I will correct that as soon as I can. But that isn’t for a while yet. Enjoy and hopefully I won’t be chased by crazy men in white suits. Oh, and no reviews mean no updates! 

A/N: First off THANK YOU ELIZABETH! Hehe told ya I’d do that ☺ And The Queen of the Darkness, what on Earth could leave you wondering (and hoping) so?! Oh and beta, be happy love! You didn’t hafta hit me with foam bricks to write this one! Now on with the show!!

-part four-

A few things need to be said about the Malfoy manor… especially since Narcissa had left the picture and Lucius had become a very helpful spy for the Order. Lucius himself had become quite relaxed and jovial, part of that being because Voldemort was no longer hounding him to kill Harry. After the previous summer, in which Harry had all but fled his muggle relative’s house and appeared on his doorstep begging to be taken in, Lucius found it hard to believe that he had ever wanted to kill the young man. Upon learning the truth about the boy’s childhood he couldn’t help but feel a slight bit, no he felt terrible. So in a small way of making it up to the young man who, for lack of a better term, looked worse for wear and would most likely collapse at any second, Lucius had given him a place to call home for the summer.

Now this is when Harry had lost his glasses numerous times due to being chased on broomsticks by Draco and decided that he wanted his eyesight corrected. BAM! Lucius took the boys to a medi-witch who corrected Harry’s eyes. Harry had also decided, after nights of bar hopping with Draco, that he wanted to tame his hair. BAM! Lucius looked up a spell that would tame the beast so-to-speak and even gave the boy green streaks to highlight his eyes. As a result both Draco and Harry couldn’t stop touching Harry’s hair. Lucius only smiled whenever he caught the boys doing such.

Many other things had happened this summer, not excluding Harry turning to Lucius with question after question on absurd topics like male pregnancies (to which Lucius scrunched his nose, grabbed a stack of books, and shoved them in Harry’s un-expecting arms), dating Draco (to which Lucius just blinked a few times then returned to the documents in front of him), and the killer question, can I stay here after graduation until I can get my own place? Now that had caused both Draco and Lucius to drop their forks during dinner and gape at Harry, who, for the most part, hadn’t done much talking about what the future held in store for them.

Regardless, after this summer, Lucius had seen Harry in a new light and had decided to open his arms to the boy. After some questionable instances, Harry had begun to enjoy – and seek out – the elder Malfoy’s company. It even got to the point where Lucius had openly given Harry full permission and access to the library, which held volumes upon volumes on Dark Arts materials upon the many intricately designed mahogany shelves that bordered the large room. It was this room that Harry had fallen asleep in numerous times due to the comforting feeling he felt there.

But this was not the room in which he had landed. Instead he stumbled into Lucius’s private study – to which he was also granted permission and access to – catching the elder Malfoy in a bit of quiet reading. Harry stumbled out of the green flames and onto the lush burgundy carpet of the Malfoy’s study. Lucius glanced up from the tome he was reading the second the green flames flickered into life. He knew that Voldemort would attempt to get his attention in other ways, but just to be on the safe side he slipped his wand into his hand and hid it behind the fragile pages of the massive book. He had known that upon becoming a spy he put himself at risk but he would no longer support that snake of a man who dared to call himself a…

“Relax Mr. Malfoy, it’s just me,” Harry clambered to his feet and shook his head to brush the hair that had fallen into his face. He removed his glasses and stepped forward, scrunching his nose to prevent a sneeze. A childish smile spread across his face as Lucius’s jaw dropped. It was quite a humorous expression to see on one so dignified as Lucius Malfoy.

“Harry?!” Lucius closed the book and placed both his wand and the massive text on the couch beside him. “What on Earth are you doing here lad? Don’t you have classes or something? And by Merlin, does somebody know you’re here?! What if Dumbledore found out you’ve been Flooing wherever you please during school?” Lucius strode towards the boy with fatherly concern – he had developed quite a soft spot for the boy once he realized the traumas of his youth (as well as switching over to the Light but that held little sway for the elder Malfoy).

“Relax Mr. Malfoy, Professor Snape knows I’m here and gave me explicit instructions to return to his classroom no later than 10:30 tonight. Anytime after that and I’ll be facing a week of detention… I’m not sure if it’ll be with him or with Filch.” Harry grimaced at the thought.

Lucius chuckled and eased up on his tirade of questions. “So what can I do for you?” He brushed a stray lock of hair from Harry’s face and adjusted the robes that were already slipping of the young mans’ shoulders. ‘Perhaps we should have gotten them a bit smaller…’ he thought to himself.

“A couple things actually.” Harry smiled lopsidedly at the elder Malfoy. He truly appreciated the fatherly concern he showed. He especially appreciated not trying to be killed every time he was in the presence of the elder Malfoy. “First, I have a theory that Sirius isn’t dead and can be brought back to life. Without the need to go to the veil.” Harry added quickly, answering Lucius’ question. “Second, I have another theory that there may be a potion or spell or a combination of both that can allow two men to have a child that bears traits of the two men.”

Lucius nodded in understanding. “Wait, what?!” He blinked a few times as the concepts behind the theories hit him. “Harry, do you realize the complexities of both theories!?” Harry just stared at him with a look of pure determination and comprehension on his features. With a curt nod Lucius turned on his heel and started to leave the room. “Are you coming or not? Time is limited.”

Harry smiled and followed his friend’s father eagerly. “So you think you can help me here?” Harry skipped to catch up to the long-legged strides of his host. “I mean, I asked Professor Snape but he had class and I knew you had an extensive library so I thought you might have something…”

“Dark Arts related. Yes. Severus doesn’t have half of the books I have. You’d be surprised at the books he has though,” Lucius responded as he started down the winding staircase to the ground floor. “You realize that these theories will take some time to manifest properly, correct?”

“Well aware of that. In fact, I’d be thrilled if there were actually spells that did what I think they are supposed to,” Harry supplied as he followed Lucius down the white marble stairs, trailing his left hand down the railing as he went. He really did love the manor.

“Good. Because I can assure you that if these spells exist, they will take quite some time to… why do you want to cast a spell to create a child between two men?” Lucius spun sharply to face Harry at the bottom of the stairs. “You and Draco aren’t…”

Harry tripped the last couple steps and landed in a laughing heap in Lucius’ arms. “Me and Draco!? Good gods, Mr. Malfoy!!” Harry couldn’t contain himself and slipped from Lucius’s strong hold onto the floor, becoming a puddle at the man’s feet. ‘How could Mr. Malfoy even think such a thing!? Maybe it had to do with me asking him if I could date Draco a little while ago,’ Harry mused to himself.

“First of all, you’ve been living at the manor all summer. Need I remind you to call me Lucius? Or has being at school dulled your memory?” Lucius sneered – half-heartedly – at the child in front of him.

Harry pulled himself together and looked up as Lucius squatted in front of him. “Seriously, Draco and I are just friends…” Harry’s mirth subsided and he stood up slowly.

From his place still on the floor Lucius looked up at the young man and saw what his son was telling him about. Harry really was quite a charming individual, even though he still hid his pain. He mentally pushed all thoughts of that matter out of his head and put a hand out and Harry without question grasped the hand and helped him up. “Of course. Well then, shall we continue?”

Harry nodded and motioned for Lucius to lead the way to the library. Even though Harry knew exactly where it was and how to get there himself, he knew he needed any and all help the blonde could offer. “Umm, yea. Can we just forget about that?” Harry mumbled. As much as he had grown to truly admire the ex-Death Eater, he still felt slightly intimidated when Lucius looked at him a certain way.

“Forget about what?” Lucius knew how to play this game; Draco had played a similar role numerous time over the past few years, especially after he had gotten caught doing something rather questionable in the far corner of the main study during the summer after his fourth year.

“Thank you, Lucius.” Harry looked at the paintings on the walls, still getting sneered and snarled at by some of the Malfoy ancestors as he passed. “Do you think they’ll ever get used to me being here?” Harry muttered, feeling a bit upset that even after the summer the paintings still didn’t accept him.

“Eventually, Harry. Don’t let it worry so much. Just remember that the only Malfoys that you should concern yourself with are Draco and myself. We’re the living ones and can cause more harm than a bunch of paintings,” Lucius replied.

“Why if I were alive, Lucius, I would hex your arse into an early grave!” a painting snapped when Lucius walked past.

“See? You aren’t the only one they tease.” Lucius offered a smile and felt a bit better when Harry returned the smile. It would take a lot of work to get the younger man to relax entirely while at the manor. Lucius reached the double-doors and opened one before ushering Harry into the large room. He stepped in afterwards and with a large sweeping gesture, proposed they begin searching the texts.

“Did you charm the books to answer a given command?” Harry asked as he ran his fingers gently over the old leather spines.

“Yes, but I don’t think it will be of any help. What you are looking for may be hard to organize,” Lucius replied as he levitated himself to reach the higher shelves. Book after book floated to the deep green shag rug in the middle of the room, piling up, creating mountains of books on the floor.

About an hour later Harry placed two books on the floor and dropped unceremoniously amidst the towering piles of possible books.

“Lucius, I have about five more hours until I need to be back at Hogwarts. I guess we should start going through these.” With that he grabbed the first book and began flipping through the pages with care in search for a spell that could bring Sirius back without going to the veil.

Lucius lounged on the floor as well and began going through the books. “I take it you are more interested in finding a spell to bring Sirius back rather than confirming your theory of a potion that can create a child that has characteristics of two males, yes?”

Harry rubbed his tired green eyes and looked up from another helpless book. “I have a feeling that Professor Snape has an answer to that. I just didn’t get the chance to present the idea in full to him yet. I’ll ask him tomorrow afternoon after lunch, I guess. But yes, I am more focused on getting Sirius back. I really think he is, in some way, within that plush dog that Miss Emi drags around.” Harry reached for the next book, carefully and methodically decreasing the amount of books piled around him.

“Who is Miss Emi?” Lucius closed the book he was looking through, deciding that it held nothing of interest and he didn’t remember why he sent it to the pile.

“Remus and Sirius’ daughter. She looks like Sirius in so many ways it’s kinda scary. But on the flip side she appears to be half-werewolf. Or full werewolf… which would be the trait she inherited from Remus. I don’t think he realizes that however. He just sees Sirius in her. Her hair, her eyes, her smile, everything is like him.” Harry paused again and settled his gaze on Lucius. “I was surprised when I first saw her. And even more surprised when I held her plush dog. I felt Sirius in it. I don’t know how but I did.”

“I think I understand.” Lucius smiled softly as the boy nodded and immersed himself back into the text in his lap. “Would you like something to eat Harry? Tea perhaps?” Lucius opened another book but stared at the other occupant in the room.

“No thank you, Lucius,” Harry replied as he closed the book with a frustrated grunt.

Lucius nodded and continued to search for the spell that Harry was looking for until it was 10:25 pm. Lucius looked up and stretched his neck. He smiled gently when he saw that Harry had fallen asleep with a book in his lap. He slowly stood up and made his way to the sleeping wizard. Kneeling down next to him he moved to take the book from Harry’s lap. With a quick glance at the open page he gasped.

Harry groaned and tilted his head to Lucius. “What is it?” he asked groggily.

“I think you may have found what you were looking for my boy.” Lucius pointed at the book with a delicate finger. “Come, take it with you. Severus will be very upset if you aren’t back in time.” He rose gracefully to his feet and offered a hand to Harry.

“Are you sure I can take this with me?” Harry gripped the offered hand and allowed the older wizard to pull him to his feet. In the whole time he had spent at the manor he had learned from the first moment he had stepped foot into the library that no book, under any circumstances, was allowed to leave the room.

“Yes, yes I’m sure. Now, unless you want a week of detention with Filch I would move that arse of yours to that fireplace and get Flooing back to Severus’s room.” He gently pushed Harry towards the fireplace and handed him the glass dish that held the Floo Powder. “And once you get there move out of the way, I’ll be following you. No need to tell Severus these theories of yours without me there to fill in any obscure details you may unknowingly leave out.” Lucius smirked as Harry raised an eyebrow at him.

“You are a strange one Lucius that you are.” Harry sniggered and took a pinch of the powder. “Severus Snape’s classroom, Dungeons of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.” He took a step towards the green flames and turned his head back. “See you there, Mr. Malfoy!” He leapt into the flames with a grin before Lucius could say anything.

“You dratted boy. That’ll earn you one upside the head!” Lucius laughed knowing full well that he wouldn’t seriously hurt the youth.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Harry stumbled and rolled out of the fireplace, finding himself at Draco’s feet. He chuckled and looked up at his best friend. “‘Allo!”

“You prat.” Draco jumped off the table he was sitting on and leaned down to glare at the boy who had made his head spin since he showed up at the doorstep of the manor. “Where the fuck have you been all bloody afternoon?! Miss Emi wanted you to eat dinner with us and she had a sudden fascination with dragons which by the gods I don’t know why. And what the bloody hell is that you’re holding!?”

“Relax, Draco,” Lucius chuckled from in front of the fireplace. “He was at the manor with me and he has permission to have that book outside of the library on account that it appears to have what he was looking for in it.”

“Which is what?” Draco looked from his father to Harry, who still hadn’t gotten up from the floor, and back to his father. Neither moved to answer his question.

Severus slipped out of his private chambers a minute later and closed the door quietly. He spun on his bare feet to face his three guests. He raised an eyebrow at Harry, who had reached a hand into the air and was waving it to get Draco’s attention to help him to his feet. His gaze moved to Lucius and acknowledged his presence with a curt nod. “Well, at least you are back on time. Did you find anything useful?”

Harry nodded as he stood next to Draco. He closed his eyes slowly and lost his balance as he tipped forward uneasily. Draco lunged to grab him before he fell.

“I guess he hasn’t been getting much sleep has he?” Lucius looked at Draco who was busying himself keeping his companion awake and upright.

“I don’t think it’s a matter of getting much sleep or not, Father. I think it’s more of a concern about making it through a day without that Weasel-prat jabbing insults in Harry’s face about things Harry had no control over. Stupid mother-fucking prick of a weasel’s poor begotten arse!” Draco mumbled only to receive a jab to the ribs and a set of stares to make him bite his tongue.

“It’s fine Draco. Ron is everything you just said but I can’t help but understand what he is going through. I mean, he lost his father to the war. I’m sure you would feel the same had you been in his position and lost your father in his stead,” Harry calmly interjected before either of the two full-fledged wizards could say anything. “But he’s right, Lucius. I haven’t gotten much sleep. What with Ron in the bed not five feet away from mine and with him plotting to make me pay for his father’s death and all? I don’t think even you could sleep well with such individuals in the same room as you. Besides, Voldemort is getting stronger and killing more muggles, and to make me despise him more than I already do he is sharing the visual and audio effects of each murder. Add in the constant headaches from these atrocities called glasses and you’d be a bit exhausted yourself.” With that he flung his glasses carelessly onto the floor.

Severus stared at the young man before him, finally understanding – if even a glimpse – of what he was going through. ‘More Occlumency! I must train him harder! Though he keeps both Albus and myself out… damn.’ “If you would rather, I could find you a bedroom elsewhere in the castle. This no-sleeping nonsense you have going here isn’t going to do you much good, Mister Potter.”

“Severus, why don’t you put Harry into the Slytherin dorms?” Lucius suggested but glanced at his son only to see both boys looking through the book Harry had in his hands. “Better yet, put Harry in Draco’s rooms. He’s got his own room as it is. I’m sure the company of a friend and the quiet that the dungeons offer might help him. Besides, he would be closer to you should he have a question or two about these theories of his. Which, dear gods Severus, are by far the most ingenious I have ever heard! Why don’t you… Harry?!”

Both Draco and Harry had slipped back onto the floor, Harry curled into Draco’s lap and Draco with his arm draped over Harry. On the floor in front of Harry lay the book he had borrowed from the library. It was opened to the page with the spell that Harry had been looking for. Severus glanced from the book to the boys then to Lucius who was just shaking his head.

“I guess these theories can wait until morning, can’t they?” Severus leaned down to pick up the book. He glanced at the spell and gasped. “He can’t be serious can he?”

“I’m afraid he is. That is one hell of a spell, Severus. He’ll need your help pulling it off, or at least guidance before casting it. But that is for another day. The dilemma now is finding a more comfortable location for these two.”

Severus nodded and closed the book gently, placing it on his desk. “But where shall we put them?” As much as he didn’t expect his godson and the son of James Potter to be as close as they were he couldn’t deny that the two did compliment each other in ways no one else had been able to.

“You levitate, I’ll follow. Let’s go.” With that said Severus levitated the sleeping bodies and began walking out of the room towards the Slytherin dormitory. Lucius reached for the book and with a small smile followed Severus’s lead. It was easy enough to get through the common room and at the landing that faced Draco’s room Lucius slipped past Severus and glared at the portrait of Salazar Slytherin.

“Password? And don’t you think that I am going to open this door just because you are his father, Mister Malfoy.” Salazar snipped at Lucius.

“Come now, Salazar. You think it better to leave Draco out here to sleep?” Lucius argued, not a likely trait to expect from him.

“This better not happen again, Mister Malfoy. How am I to explain to Draco in the morning how he got back to his room? With young Harry in attendance no less?!” Salazar replied with a hint of ice in his elegant voice.

“Just remind him that he had two choices; sleep on the floor of the Potions’ classroom or allow his father access to his bedroom. I’m sure he’d understand.” Lucius replied softly.

“You have a point, Mister Malfoy.” Salazar swung the door open and Severus walked through behind the two floating bodies. As Lucius passed by Salazar added, “Just don’t make a habit of showing up and expecting me to grant you access whenever you desire. These are Draco’s rooms.”

“Understood, and thank you kindly, Salazar.” Lucius walked into the room and the door shut behind him.

Upon reaching their destination, Severus maneuvered the youths to the large canopy bed that occupied the far wall of the mostly green room. He never realized how much space was in the room.

Lucius chuckled as he watched his son and Harry shift around until they were comfortably curled around the other and sleeping peacefully. He placed the book on a nearby desk that was littered with parchments, quills and magnificently decorated ink horns. At times he truly wondered if his son was always so sloppy or was it just because he was more inclined to keep his room at home clean due to his father being around.

“Who would have thought they would get along so well?” Severus slipped his wand into a pocket and set about removing the boys’ shoes and socks.

“I would have thought they would have been at this a little sooner, but who knows? For all I know they could have already had sex with one another over the summer while I was blissfully kept unawares of their ministrations.” He gently moved Severus out of the way before removing the boys’ robes, shirts and pants. With a slight chuckle he placed a blanket over the two sleeping boys and watched as they snuggled closer to the other.

“I think you may be right there my friend,” Severus commented.

Lucius nodded and stepped away from the bed. “Come Severus. Let them sleep. I’m sure they could both use a good night’s rest. I only hope that they wake up in time for classes.”

“As do I.” Severus walked out of the room and made his way back towards his own chambers, realizing for the first time that he had left Emi alone.

Lucius turned back to the bed and sat on the edge closest to Harry. “Yes, you can date him, Harry. And I would take it as a personal insult if you didn’t stay at the manor. It just isn’t the same without you there.” He smiled softly as Harry cuddled closer to Draco and Draco’s arms tightened around Harry’s body. Who would be crazy enough not to allow them to be together? Lucius looked away from the two sleeping forms and stepped out of the room. “Narcissa, that’s who. She probably would have been the first in line to get the two away from each other.” He muttered a few more negative comments about his late wife before Flooing back to the manor. He had a few things of his own to attend to; first being putting all the books back in their places.

A/N: YAY!!!! All done. And that comment Harry made “You are a strange one Lucius, that you are.” Let’s just say that after watching eight consecutive episodes of Rurouni Kenshin without a break in between one begins to talk like Kenshin that they do. ^_^ Whelp, next chapter will explain the first theory (my revival of Siri darling) and perhaps an early morning make-out session… I mean, I have kinda neglected that little aspect. Hehe! Hope you all liked and remember REVIEW!!!!
