Memories of 4th year

Alyrisa finished putting her memories into the Pensive. She looked at Severus and nodded her head.
“Be warned it is not all pleasant, and I pretty much skipped over my first three years at Hogwarts.” Alyrisa said.
Severus looked at her, nodded, and then peered into the Pensive.

(Hogwarts 15 nearly 16 years later, Alyrisa’s 4th year)

A young blonde woman ran down the halls.
“Damn I’m late for potions. Dad is gonna kill me.” She muttered to herself. She skidded into the potions classroom hoping she beat her father there.
“Ms. Snape you may be my daughter but I will not tolerate you being late to my class.” Severus said coolly.
“Yes sir. Sorry sir. I got held over by Professor Granger.” Alyrisa said as she took her seat.
“As bright as Professor Granger is she should have known you had my class after hers.”
Alyrisa shrugged. Her potions partner she couldn’t stand, but she tried to get a long with him.
“Aly you shouldn’t piss your old man off. You’re lucky he didn’t take points.” Blaze said in a whisper.
“He won’t take points from his own house Blaze, but he will give me cleaning detail. He won’t let me use magic either.” Alyrisa replied back. She listened to her father talk about the potion that they would be working on. With in a few minutes she and Blaze started to work on their potion.

At the end of class they handed a vial of it in.
“Alyrisa please stay for a few minutes before you run off to lunch.” Severus said. She nodded her head.
“Yes sir.” She said. She watched her classmates scurry out the door. ~Even the Slytherins run from him.~
She stayed at her desk waiting for her father. With in a few minutes he walked up to her.
“Alyrisa you can’t keep being late to my class. Detentions don’t seem to work.” He said.
“I’m sorry dad, but I was asked to stay behind.”
“I know that, but this is going to be the last time I let you off the hook. The next time I will be forced to take points.”
“Yes sir. I will try to do better.”
”Good girl. Run along.”
Alyrisa gathered her things and left the potions classroom.

She walked down the hallways towards the Great Hall, she ignored all the comments that were made about her behind her back.
“Hey Snape isn’t it true that you will be the reason that Professor Snape might take points from his own house?” a girl asked.
“Oh shove it Weasley.” Alyrisa hissed. She stalked off to the library not interested in having lunch.

Remus Lupin had been rehired but to work as the librarian. He saw the young woman enter the library and head towards her usual spot. She pulled out a book on magical creatures and began to study. He walked over to her.
“You know it’s too pretty of a day for even a Slytherin student to be inside.” He said softly. Alyrisa looked up at him.
“I’m fine Professor.” Alyrisa said. Remus sighed. No matter how hard he tried he couldn’t get her to leave the library to go outside.
“Tell me something Ms. Snape do you ever go outside? I mean besides for your Care of Magical Creatures class with Hagrid.”
“Yes I go outside just like you do on the full moon. Yes my father told me what you are and to be wary. However I do not see the reason for that concern.”

Remus blinked his eyes in surprise. Severus had promised him that he wouldn’t give away his secret this time.
“Why did he tell you?”
“I am his daughter and he didn’t want me to make the same mistakes he did. I’m sorry to say that I am not my father and don’t plan on doing something as stupid as he did in his youth.”
“You are a clever young woman, but you don’t seem to have too many friends.”
“True, but that is because too many people are scared of my father.”
“Your father is a man that takes getting used to.”
Alyrisa nodded. “I’ll leave you to your studies.”

Remus walked off and Alyrisa watched him walk away.
~She’s as stubborn as her father.~ Remus thought.
~But you like her.~ his inner wolf said.
~Moony shut up. You shouldn’t be raising your head for two weeks.~
~True, but you are at a point… actually we both are at a point where a mate would be a good thing.~
Remus paused in his walking. He couldn’t believe his wolf; his other half of his nature had said that.
~Moony…~
~Yes Remus?~
~No. She is too young. Plus she’s Snape’s daughter.~

Alyrisa watched Remus and sighed.
~He’s talking to his wolf.~ she thought. ~Probably thinking about ripping out my throat.~
She turned to the section on werewolves in her book. She began to read. She also lost track of time and ended up missing most of her afternoon classes. When she realized what time it was she nearly had a heart attack.
“Oh Gods dad is going to bloody kill me.”

Severus had just gotten done talking to all of Alyrisa’s other teachers. He was fuming mad by the time he found her exiting the library.
“Alyrisa Snape!” he snapped. Alyrisa flinched and turned to face him.
“Yes sir.” She said meekly.
“You missed all of your afternoon classes! I don’t know what I’m going to do with you.”
“You mean besides love me unconditionally?”
“Don’t be a smart arse girl. Very well you leave me no choice but to suspend you from playing Quditch.”
“You can’t do that!”
“I can and I will. Also I just did. You are off the team until you get your act together.”
Alyrisa looked at her father for a moment, she then turned on her heel and ran in the other direction.

Remus left the library a few minutes later.
“Severus what was all that yelling?” the werewolf asked.
“None of your concern Lupin, but suffice it to say my daughter takes after her other father and her half brother.” Severus said.
“Funny she seems more like you.”
“She is no such thing.”
“Really? She spends all her time studying and has no real friends.”
“Lupin I have raised her as best I could. I’ve tried to encourage her to have friends.”
