Disclaimer: Really now, I think you should all know that I don\'t own any of these characters. I mean, if I did, I don\'t I\'d be writing and posting on ff.net. So there.

Chapter 4:

As they were getting up from the table to head to the Slytherin common rooms, Severus came over to them, leading a large, black, grim-like dog behind him. Laying a hand on Harry\'s shoulder, he said, "Harry, Snuffles is here with me, why don\'t you let him lead you," noticing their still entwined hands, he added, "with Draco, to the Slytherin dorms." Reaching out to Severus, the once stern professor enfolded the small boy into his arms in a fatherly hug. "I\'ll come by in a little while to see how you are, all right, little one?"

Smiling and shaking his head gratefully, Harry said, "Thank you, Sev."

Chuckling, Severus patted him on the shoulder. "You\'re welcome, little one. Go on now, here\'s Snuffle\'s leash. Draco, keep a good hold on his hand. I\'ll see you later, both of you." Severus bent and placed a fatherly kiss on the teenagers forehead. "Oh, and Draco, take care of my little one, or you will have more detentions than the Weasley twins and the Marauders, combined." Grinning slightly, Harry took the leash, allowing Draco to lead the two of them from the Great Hall.

Walking in silence, it was broken when Draco voiced his question, "Uh, Harry...can I ask what happened?" Feeling the body next to him tense, Draco glanced questioningly over at Harry, noticing his stiff and rigid posture. Brows drawing down in confusions, Draco realized he must have touched a nerve. Running his thumb in soothing circles on the back of Harry\'s hand, he held his breath as he waited for any sort of reply from the childlike boy.

Cocking his head to one side, Harry thought on how he could answer a question of such a delicate matter. He honestly didn\'t know how to answer, not truly knowing what had happened himself. Hearing an animalistic huff, Harry then realized that Snuffles seemed to be slightly annoyed at the boy for asking this. "Hmm, what happened to me? That\'s a rather tough question. Do you mean why am I blind?" With a curious look on his face, Harry ran his hand through his hair in a slightly nervous gesture.

Nodding, Draco realized that the gesture would be futile to Harry, and decided an answer would be the best course of action. "Um...yeah," he said, while shrugging his shoulders when he noticed the annoyed expression on Harry\'s guide dog. "Just curious." Looking at the dog, Draco began to wonder about it. The damn mutt almost seems human. If I didn\'t know any better, I\'d say that thing is an animagius. The only thing I have to say is that it had better stay away from me. I don\'t fancy being on the receiving end of that animal. And I get the feeling that anyone who picks on Harry, will be on that end.

Harry sighed deeply, ignoring the burn in his throat. Blinking his sightless eyes, he said, "Well, can we wait till we\'ve gotten to the dorms to have a discussion like this." Shuddering, the boy continued, "I\'ve heard Sev say that these walls have ears."
"Steps," Draco warned. "And yes, I agree with you, these walls do have ears, so it would be better to wait until we get to the dorms."

"Thank you," Harry said, smiling in gratitude at where he thought the boy was. "Snuffles, up or down?" Hearing the dog bark once, Harry smiled happily. "Thanks, Snuffles." Heading down the stairs, Draco marveled at what had just occurred.

"So, Snuffles is trained to tell you whether the steps are up or down?" he inquired with a smile.

"Yep, one for down, two for up, and he halts and nudges my hand to tell me there are steps." Chuckling softly, he added, "Snuffles is very well trained." Yipping in reprimand, Snuffles continued to lead Harry, along with Draco.

Walking a little farther on, Harry brought up a subject that about made Draco fall. "Draco, you know who Sirius Black is, right?"

Stumbling, Draco righted himself, noticing the nervous tones in Harry\'s voice. "Yes....the murderer. Why do you ask?"

"Well, Sev told me that he\'s my godfather." Twisting the leash in his hand, Harry was nervous to continue. "Never mind, I\'ll tell you in the common rooms, or better, in the dorms. It\'s safer there."

Continuing their walk in silence, Draco contemplated what it was Harry had to tell him, while Harry contemplated how he could tell Draco this. He didn\'t want his newly acquired friend to freak out. Oh, I wish Sev were with me, he could help me. I don\'t know what to say. Maybe I can stall until he comes. But I don\'t think Draco will go for that. Why does everything have to be so complicated! I just want to be normal! But I can\'t even remember anyone. What if Draco actually hates me, or we were enemies? I don\'t think I could stand him not liking me!! Ah, someone just put me out of my misery!!! Thoughts like these kept swirling through Harry\'s head, making him wonder if maybe it wasn\'t such a good idea to bring up Sirius in the first place.

Looking over to Harry, Draco wondered what was going through his head. He knew his own thoughts were rather jumbled. What if he regains his memory and decides he doesn\'t want to be my friend anymore? Well, good riddance. I don\'t need him, he\'s a weakness. I don\'t know why I held his hand in the first place.

\'Oh cut the bullshit,\' a voice in Draco\'s head piped up. \'You know you still want to be his friend. Look at him, so vulnerable, so child like, so gorgeous.

Blinking his eyes owlishly, Draco thought \'Wow! Where did that just come from?\' Snapping out of his daze, he noticed they were in front of the wall leading to the Slytherin common rooms.

"We\'re here, Harry." Facing the wall, Draco said, "Vert," causing the wall to slide away. Entering the room, Draco said, "Welcome to Slytherin, Harry Potter."

TBC

I know, I know, very, very short. You\'ll be happy to know that this was the last official chapter of LunarMistDarknessEclipe\'s version. This means that the chapters will be longer from now on. I tweaked this one as well, but this is as long as I could get it. Her original chapter four wasn\'t this long, so nah! *sticks tongue out in childish manner*

Please review.
