Rude Encounters

"We should go out and show Jason the town," Remus declared as he finally made his way down stairs around 2 in the afternoon.

Jason tried his hardest not to give Remus ‘the look.’ Though, he did look remarkably sexy in his loose fit jeans and baggy t-shirt with his still wet hair from the shower sticking to his face.

"What do you say, Jason?" Remus looked to the mesmerized boy.

"Sure," Jason snapped back to reality. "If it’s okay with Dad."

Sirius was shocked.

"How about it, Sirius?" Remus directed his attention towards the animagi.

"If you want to. I’m going to stay home and finish up some projects that I started. I’m sure that Harry would love to go, though."

"Come on, Sirius," Remus begged. "Come out with us. We can wait for you to shower and everything."

Harry had just entered the dining room as Remus started his begging. "Where are you going?"

"We’re going to go Jason around town," Remus scowled as Harry pulled the orange juice out of the fridge and took a drink from the carton.

"Do you want to come with us?" Harry realized how much Jason’s voice sounded like his father’s.

"Sure. Is everyone else going?"

"Yes," Remus specifically directed the comment towards Sirius.

"Gay or not, Sirius," Remus scoffed at Sirius as he made his way down the stairs near an hour and a half later. "You don’t need that much time to make yourself look the same way you look every other day. Even then it only takes 15 minutes."

"You were the one who made me go," Sirius sneered. "I can take how ever much time I want to."

"Then let’s go."

The four men walked along the sidewalks of the town, going in and out of stores, each carrying numerous bags of clothes, books, and other gadgets the found on the way. They talked about the past and all of their friends. Jason was happy to

discover that Harry used to live in the muggle world as well. It gave him more to talk about.

After a good 3 hours of shopping, the four of them finally collapsed onto a couple benches in a small park. Harry and Jason sat on one while Remus and Sirius sat on the other that was opposite them.

"So, Jason," Sirius set his bags on the ground. "How do you like it here?"

"It’s so…different," Jason had been amazed all day at the different spells and charms that were active at all times. "I’ve honestly never watched a picture move that wasn’t on the television."

"Harry?" Harry turned around to the familiar voice of Hermoine that was coming from behind him.

"’Moine!" Harry jumped off of the bench and embraced his friend. "How have things been since graduation?"

"Great! I’ve just been sitting around the house and studying for college," Hermoine’s eyes fell on Jason. "Who’s this?"

"Oh," Harry turned towards Jason. "Jason, this is Hermoine. Hermoine, this is Jason. Hermoine’s been one of my best friends since my first year at Hogwarts."

"Hello, Jason," Hermoine leaned in to shake Jason’s hand.

"Speaking of best friends," Harry continued. "How's has Ron been?"

"He just mopes around his house all day, just being Ron."

"What school are you going to be going to, Hermoine?" Remus asked, not liking being left out of the conversation.
"I’m not sure yet. But I’ll probably stay living here and just stay at a local college," She responded, finally noticing that Sirius and Remus were there.

"I’m fairly sure that Hogwarts is starting up a community college if you’re interested," Sirius broke in.

"Really? It’ll have different professors though, right?"

"I’m not too sure."

"Well, well, well," Just the presence of Draco enraged Harry and Hermoine. "If it isn’t the boy-who-lived and the filthy little mudblood. I thought the know-it-all priss would have been long gone by now. Didn’t expect the Potter boy to get anywhere."

"Go away, you foul beast," Hermoine snapped. She was hoping to never see a Malfoy ever again.

"Now, Draco," Lucius placed his hand on Draco‘s shoulderind ind your manners. I’m sure that the Potter boy might get somewhere."

"What do you want, Malfoy?" Sirius barked at the tall, aristocratic man

.
"Hogsmead is a public area. I have every right to be here," he snapped back, his voice remaining calm and soft.

"Shouldn’t you be following the dark lord?"

"Now, now. We all know that I am no longer a death eater. Harry has already defeated him for the final time anyways. Voldermort is no longer here to be worshipped."

"You’re still a filthy, back stabbing, coward!" Hermoine yelled at the man.

"You have quite the temper, Ms. Granger," Lucius still remained calm. "Who is this young man you have with you?" His pale eyes fell upon Jason.

"Go away!" Sirius yelled as he stepped between his son and Lucius. "What do you care about those who aren’t Slytherin?"

"You," Draco called to Jason. "I haven’t ever seen you in before. What house were you in?"

"I wasn’t," Jason wanted to be able to stick up for himself.

"So we have another mudblood."

"Malfoy," Sirius scowled at Lucius. "Get your impudent brat away from my son now!"

"Son, is he?" Lucius could easily see over Sirius. "How could you have produced a child from Azkaban?"

"Leave now," Sirius ignored his question. "The both of you."

"Come, Draco," Lucius turned away from Sirius a left the scene, his robes elegantly flowing behind him.

"See you around, Potter," Draco spat before he turned to catch up with his father.

Everyone turned to Jason, who was more confused than he had ever been in his life.

"We should probably head home," Remus scooped up his shopping bags from the ground. "Do you want to come along, Hermoine?"

"If it’s alright with you."
