Harry sighed “I won’t leave her and there’s nothing anyone could say or do to change my mind. I love her” He really wished that they would take this better, but he should have known. This was Hermione and Ron.
“Look mate we’re just looking out for you. She could be some woman who is after the fame and glory of being the girlfriend of the famous Boy-Who-Lived” Ron was pacing knowing how sensitive Harry was about anyone he cared about.
“Just to let you know Ron she’s from America meaning she really hadn’t heard o whe when we met” Harry was surprised at himself. He was sure that by now he would have been yelling, but right now he was very calm “Besides in the states she is very well known being a poly animangus and defeating Will Bates the worst American wizard ever. She came here to get away from her fame. She is the only person who could understand what it’s like being So So if you think a few school rules will stop us your wrong.
Hermione knew she should try harder to convince Harry to leave Kara, but she had never seen him so happy. If a little rule breaking caused this much in this young man she thought of as a brother, the so be it. “If she makes you happy, then I support you Harry”
Ron couldn’t believe it “Do you realize she’s old enough to be our mother. I mean what is she 35?”
“Ron she is not old enough to be our mother, she’s 25 as you very well know, and if she makes Harry happy we shouldn’t interfere.” Although she loved Ron, Hermione wasn’t blind to the fact that he was pig headed.
Harry was glad Hermione was at least trying to understand. If she was coming around, then so would Ron, eventually.
Suddenly there was a knock at the Portrait. It was well after hours and Harry shouldn’t have been there. Ron pushed Harry behind the sofa as Hermione went to answer the knock.
“Oh hi Professor Flowers, what brings you here?” Hermione had no idea how to behave.
“ Hi, Hermione right? I was just looking for Harry. He said he was coming here” Kara smiled sweetly.
Ron walks over “what do you want with Harry?”
Kara hated insolence “Mr. Weasely you will remember that I am a professor and will give me the respect that comes with that title”
Ron glared at her “I just hope you remember that you are a professor and act accordingly”
Harry came from behind the sofa “ that’s enough Ron” He turned to Kara “ You wanted to speak with me?”
“I just for got to give you a present I gat for you” She began to search the pockets of her robes. She finally pulls out a silver chain with a silver pendant of a dagger with a rose wrapped around it. “This is my family’s crest you should have it. If you should ever need me hold the pendant and call for me. We will be able to talk no matter where wee are”
“I hate to say anything but I need my rest Head duties and all” Hermione was really upset there was nothing in all her books that could help her understand the situation. Kara was an authority figure, but she was also her best friend’s girlfriend. Hermione was too tired to think clearly all she wanted to do is sleep.
Ron made his way to bed Hermione could handle getting rid of their guests.
Harry felt bad for bothering his friends “Sorry ‘Mione I guess Kara and I will get going”
Hermione Yawned “ It’s alright. I’ve just had a long day. You should get some rest too, with classes tomorrow and everything”
“I know” Harry replied “I’ll head there in a few minutes” He ttooktook hold of Kara’s hand and made their way back to Kara’s private quarters.
