A Fool\'s Prophecy

Chapter 4: To plan a wedding!


Hermione rolled out of bed at the sound of her alarm. Still disbelieving the events that took place last night. Severus had actually proposed to her, true she knew it was not his personal choice. Nonetheless the gesture meant a lot to Hermione and his thoughtfulness would not go without reward. Rubbing the foggy sleep from her eyes Hermione moved toward the shower, today her and Severus planned their wedding. She would look good.

Elsewhere in the castle Severus Snape sat in his reading room, dressed and ready for the days events. He had woken earlier that morning and decided that in order for this to work, to really work some changes needed to become evident in his life. At this moment for the first time since he could remember Severus was dressed in something other than just black. True he still wore his black trousers, but his flowing black cape was replaced by a warm green sweater. He was showered and groomed. Last night he had decided to make some changes to his living arrangements in the dungeons. His bedroom was enlarged, and an extra bureau was added for Hermione\'s belongings. Space was made in his closet and one of the most noticeable changes was the living room. Instead of the solitary chair, there was now a large sofa and carpeting from wall to wall. All in all Severus was pleased with the new arrangements. He would leave in a few moments to meet Hermione in Albus\' office. Rising to leave for Albus\' Severus set a warming charm, his final touch in his new home.

Reaching the office door Severus spoke the password ?Gummy Worms? and watched as the bricks moved allowing his entrance. As he walked toward the main room, he was stopped in his path. Hermione was already present and looked incredible, composing himself he cleared his throat.

\"Miss Granger\'er..Hermione\"
\" Good morning Severus.\"
\"Well before we start this, lets decide now how to proceed. I don\'t want to make you uncomfortable Hermione.\"
\"Severus, I am touched that you care. I assure you I am fine. If you would like we could develop some signal that would let the other know if they are uncomfortable with a situation.\"
\"Alright Hermione, you decide what the signal will be.\"
\" How about if I become uncomfortable I will push at your chest with my finger. Like this.? Hermione said as she stepped forward and poked Severus in the ribs with her index finger. Severus smiled at the simple gesture and nodded his head in agreement.
\" You do know Hermione that this starts now. We will have to show affection to one another after this moment.\"
\"Yes Severus, I do know.\" Hermione said as she reached forward and grabbed Severus\'hand and hauled him towards the door. Turning back for a moment she graced him with a glowing smile.
\"By the way I like the new look Severus.?
Following her lead Severus allowed her to pull him throughout the castle, following like a lovesick schoolboy, he so detested only a week ago. Arriving at his chambers Severus stopped a breath away from Hermione. There bodies tight to each other and whispered the password, \"Dragon\'s Breath\".
Releasing Severus\' hand Hermione walked into the living area and choked back a gasp.
\"Severus, you changed your quarters.\"
\" You see Hermione, with us being married soon, I wanted this place to be a home. So I added some comforts so that we could both feel at place here. Grinning back at him, she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him quickly before pulling him down on the new sofa.
\" So where should we begin?\" Severus asked.
\" Well since I am muggle and you are a wizard I thought that maybe we could incorporate some of my family traditions into the wedding.\" Hermione said hoping that Severus would agree.
\"Whatever your heart wishes Hermione is yours.\" Severus said looking deeply into Hermione\'s chocolate eyes. Smiling Hermione pulled out a Bridal magazine and slid over to sit close to Severus. Severus understanding her signal pulled her tight against him, with his arms around her waist the pair began to plan their wedding. A few hours later they had reached an almost perfect agreement. Hermione would wear a traditional muggle wedding dress, while Severus wore wizards dress robes. Albus and Minerva would perform the ceremony, and most importantly it would be small and personal with only a few close people in attendance. It would have been perfect for both, if only it had been real.
Closing the magazine Hermione turned her head and kissed Severus\' lips softly. Pulling back to gage his reaction she was surprised to find Severus pulling her back into a deeper kiss. Pulling her tight against him Severus let himself become lost in her kisses. Groaning into his mouth Hermione began to blush, Severus Snape was undoubtedly the best kisser she had ever kissed. Pulling away from the kiss to regain his control Severus looked into the flushed face of Hermione, and was surprised by what he saw in her eyes. Lust, affection and dare he say love. Shaking his head of the ridiculous idea he rested his forehead against Hermione\'s and whispered to her.
\" You have to be the best surprise I have ever received.\" Severus whispered before pulling Hermione into another deep kiss. Becoming lost in each other neither realized that lunch had come and gone, and dinner was shortly approaching. Time flew for the couple that was so desperately trying to ignore the spark that as ignited between them. Startling them from their passionate embrace by knocking on Severus\' chambers door, the pair pulled away blushing. Severus, stood and walked to the door allowing the unexpected guest into the chambers.
\"Severus, my boy. I love what you have done to the place.\" Albus chirped happily knowing well what he was interrupting.
\" What brings you here old man?\" Severus quipped annoyed at the intrusion.
\"Well since you two missed lunch and it is almost dinner I was simply coming down to make sure you were alright. I was merely concerned for two of my professors.\" Albus said grinning at the shocked expression on both their faces. Realization dawned on both Severus and Hermione. They were in the dungeons for almost seven hours and for a great part of that time they were making out like teenagers! Blushing from their activities, Severus thanked Albus and bid him goodbye before turning to look at Hermione.
\"I\'m sorry, I did not realize so much time had passed.\" Severus said unable to look Hermione in the eyes.
\"Severus, you were not the only one that got lost in the time. \" Hermione said hoping that he did not understand her fully. While yes they did get lost in the time. Hermione was mainly lost in his kiss. Straightening herself up, Hermione rose and walked toward Severus.
\"Since dinner is not too far off I am going to head to my chambers and get ready. I will see you at dinner.\" Hermione said before reaching up to Severus\' neck and guiding his lips to hers in a sweet farewell kiss.
\" Goodbye love.\" Severus said as she walked through his chambers doors. He had so much more to think about now. For now he knew without a doubt that he was in love, deeply in love, with the Gryffindor know it all!
