I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
The First Step
Lucky is the only one of these characters that is ours. J.K. Rollins would not do this to these sweet people.
The first step
Lucky rose to her feet, holding the toy, and the smile that had graced her lips all evening. She held the toy to the redheaded baby, and chuckled as the child took it, flashing her with a toothless smile.
Despite the fact that she really didn’t care for Percy, the one good thing Lucky could say for him was that he produced adorable children. She picked up the baby, ignoring the trail of drool that he left on her shirt as she did so. Humming, while she rocked her torso, bouncing her knees slightly, she made her way over to where Molly was cooking.
Molly smiled at her, and held out a spoon, letting her taste the concoction. Lucky leaned forward, and tasted the sauce. “Mmm...Good.”
“Thank you.” Molly watched as the younger woman held the child up over her head, shaking, enticing a baby laugh. “You are so good with children.”
“I want one so badly.” She sighed. “Not yet though. Maybe next month.”
Molly made a comforting sound. “Well, until you have one of your own, you are welcome to visit here anytime. I always seem to have one of my grandchildren.”
“You are so lucky, Molly. I don’t know how you do it.”
“Prac. Af. After seven children, you learn how to do everything.”
“I just hope I am half as good at it as you are.”
“When you have one of your own, you can’t begin to imagine life without them,”
Molly smiled as Harry’s wife walked back over to the table, placing the child in the high chair. Returning her attention to the stove, she mused, “One would think that Harry would be eager to start his own family.”
“Oh, he is. He wants a child almost as much as I do. It just hasn’t been the right time for us.”
The older woman nodded. “It’s like that sometimes. But don’t worry. I have a feeling that the two of you will soon be preparing for one of your own.”
“In the mean time, do you think Percy will allow us to buy one of his, or even rent one for a few months?”
Molly laughed.
Lucky shrugged. “It was worth a shot.”
“What was worth a shot?” She turned to look at her dirty husband.
“Oh...someone got knocked off their broom.” Lucky laughed as he made a face at her.
“Not funny, Lucky. Bill thought it would be a good idea to hit a bludger my way. Good thing I was only a few feet off the ground, or else you might be a widow.” He leaned down and kissed her cheek. “What was worth a shot?”
“Buying one of Percy’s kids.” She reached up and pulled grass out of his hair. “You might want to consider taking a shower before dinner.”
“Which will be ready in about ten minutes.” Molly turned and ran a motherly eye over her adoptive son. “You might want to tell the boys to set up the tables outside.”
Harry walked over and kissed her on the cheek. “Yes, Molly.”
He turned and left.
Molly looked at the younger woman. “I think that he has grown into a fine young man. Even if he still likes to risk his life on occasion.”
“Oh. He has grown into a very fine man.” Lucky leaned forward and kissed the baby on the forehead. “What do you say we go watch your Uncle Harry try to be responsible?”
Picking up the baby, she held him on her hip and left the kitchen.

Harry found her in the library when he came home from work the next day. She was sitting on the edge of his desk, her legs crossed, papers in her hand, a quill caught in her hair, and reading glasses on.
“When did you start using glasses to read?”
She looked up and smiled. “While you were away. Doctor says that I need them for reading, that’s all.”
“You never told me that you were having problems seeing.” He took off his robes and hung them up.
“That’s because I didn’t know I was having trouble seeing.” She smiled, and removed the wire rimmed glasses. “Does this change the way you feel about me?”
He laughed. Walking over to where she sat, he placed each hand on either side of her hips, then leaned forward. Kissing her softly, he murmured against her lips, “Nothing could change the fact that I love you.”
She smiled. “That is what I love about you, Potter. You never change your mind.”
“Mmmmm...with you I could never change my mind.” He straightened and looked at the papers she held. “What’s that?”
“The head of my department is asking for a progress report. I am just going over my response.”
Harry took the papers from her, and looked at them. “Hmm. Interesting. I just don’t think that you are going to advance if you send him a handful of papers that say, in three inch purple letters, ‘Stay the hell out of my business, Pinhead!’ written over and over.”
“Hey, I like to keep them guessing.” She shrugged. “That and I really hate being asked when my potions are going to be ready for testing.”
Harry laughed, and walked over to the door. “Yes, I can see that. By the way. I invited Ron over for dinner tonight. Dress nicely.”
“HARRY JAMES POTTER!!!” She screeched, jumping off the desk. He bolted for the stairs, knowing that she was right behind him. He dashed through the halls, hearing her heels clicking as she ran. Dodging into the bedroom, he slid behind the door, waiting for her to enter.
As soon as she cleared the door, he slammed it shut, and gave her a seductive grin. “Now, my dear. You are trapped. There is no other way out of here, what are you going to do?”
“Ah.... I have no idea. Perhaps I shall attack you and see if I can slip past you while you are distracted.”
“Oh. That sounds promising.”
She laughed and launched herself at him. Harry caught her and threw her on the bed, following to pin her arms to the mattress, before leaning down and kissing the base of her throat. He lingered there, despite her urging for him to move.
Finally he lifted his head, and his green eyes shined with heat through the lenses of his glasses. “I want you to start the overtures tonight. Maybe plant the seeds of the idea in his head.”
“You want me to seduce him.”
“Good girl. Yes.” He leaned down and sucked on her lower lips. “Make him think it’s his idea.”
“Mind fuck him?”
“Mmm.... Yes.” He released one hand, pleased when it found it way into his hair. “Play with him. Make him want it, so much so, that he is the one who comes to you.”
Lucky smiled. “Hmmm...This sounds like fun.”
He started to unbutton her blouse. Parting the fabric, he sighed as he looked down on the splendor that was his wife. “God I love you. Why did you marry me?”
“Hmm....let me think. Your fame and your fortune? Nah. They didn’t do anything for me. Must be because I fell in love with you from the moment that I first straddled you. Even before I knew your name, I fell in love with you.”
“Really?” He remembered that tumble when she had bumped into him and they had both ended up on the floor.
“Yeah. Kind of embarrassing. I mean, who falls in love at first sight?”
“We did. I think it’s kind of romantic.” Harry leaned down and kissed the dragon tattoo, still bright as though it had just been applied. “Maybe that means that there really is a happily ever after.”
“Someone read fairy tales when they were younger.”
“Just don’t tell anyone. I have my masculine appearance to uphold.”
Lucky laughed, reaching up to kiss him. “I won’t tell a soul. One of my duties as your wife is to make sure that the whole world knows that you are the most masculine man on the face of the planet.”
“I think I just heard sarcasm in your voice.”
“Not a bit. I was purely sincere.”
He laughed and leaned down, kissing her, his hand letting her other hand free, so he could bury both hands into that tangled black mass. “I love your sincerity.”
She ran a hand down his front. “I would think that perhaps, this evening might not go so bad.”
He cupped one breast. “I think it might not either.”
They continued to kiss for a while, until she turned her head and gasped, “Why is it that you are able to seduce me into doing just about everything?”
“I’m talented that way.” He grinned. “Though it didn’t stop you from going after Voldemort.”
She laughed. “This is true.”
He reached under her skirt, and began to tug her underwear off.
“When is he going to be here?”
“Oh, in about three hours.”
“Well, that gives us time.”
“Yes it does.”
*****
Ron watched as Lucky sat down across from him. He wasn’t sure, but he thought he could see right through that red dress she was wearing. Harry didn’t seem to notice.
Lucky crossed her legs, and Ron realized he could see all the way up her leg. He gave himself a little shake. This was his best friend’s wife, and he was staring. Looking down at the drink in his hand, he wondered if maybe he had had a few too many.
The evening had started to go well. Harry had met him at the door, than Lucky had joined them in the library, where they had had a few drinks until Dobby had announced that dinner was ready.
They had skirted over the Hermione issue, and they continued to laugh through the evening, and he never noticed that Harry kept motioning for Grumple to keep Ron’s wine glass full.
The entire time, Lucky seemed to be hanging on his every word, and Ron had enjoyed the experience.
He couldn’t keep from remembering the few times that He had slept with Lucky during the last year of Hogwarts, when she and Harry had been going through a rough patch. He wondered briefly if Lucky had ever told Harry about that.
Harry stood up. “Excuse me. I have to get to the office really early in the morning. You two just sit and talk. I will see you soon, Ron.”
He leaned down and kissed his wife on the cheek, then turned and left the library, closing the door behind him.
Lucky smiled and stood. Moving closer, she sat next to him on the couch. “So, Ron. Any new woman in your life?”
Ron winced. “There is no woman in my life, new or other wise.”
“Well, perhaps you should reconsider one of the old ones.” She smiled. “It’s always a good idea to fall back on what you know, as opposed to a new venture.”
The evening continued on that vein. Ron almost got the feeling like Lucky was flirting with him, but every time he got the feeling, he shook it off. Lucky was happily married to Harry, and he had no doubt that they were very compatible in the bed.
After all, how many times did Harry ask Ron to cover for him at school, just so Harry could sneak out to spend time with Lucky? A hundred? A thousand?
When she walked him to the door, she didn’t even hug him. Just shook his hand, and told him that should he ever need anything, he was welcome to ask it of her. She was after all, one of his best friends.
Funny, he had never thought of her that way.
When he walked into his flat, in downtown London, he sat for a long time, running an insidious idea through his head. Could Lucky be attracted to him?
