Hermione looked at herself in the mirror. She laughed slightly at the white ceremonial robes that she was wearing. She was far from pure, but that didn\'t matter. Her only lover had been the man she was marrying today.
Ginny Weasley came into the room. \"You look beautiful Hermione. I\'m so jealous.\"
Hermione turned around and looked at her. \"You look just as lovely Ginny. Don\'t worry. I\'m sure Harry will be asking you to marry him soon too.\"
She blushed. \"Everything\'s ready.\"
Hermione checked her make up one last time. \"What does Severus look like?\"
Ginny giggled. \"Well, I don\'t see the same thing when I look at him, but he looks very nice. It\'s definitely an improvement over his look during school.\"

Severus paced his room nervously. He stopped and ran his hand through his hair. He had told her he was getting very good at waiting, but that wasn\'t the case today. He was impatient. He wanted to marry her. Marry her and begin his life with her. He had been without her to long. Today would change all that.

Albus was standing on the raised dais in the Great Hall. Severus was on his left, watching the doors. The small crowd, consisting of Hermione\'s parents, The Weasley\'s and most of the Hogwarts Staff waited for the music to begin. Severus had wanted a truly wizarding ceremony, but Hermione wanted to mix the two cultures.
The music began, and Albus motioned for the audience to stand. Severus saw the doors open, and Ginny Weasley walked down to take her place. Severus had asked Remus Lupin to stand for him.
His vision of heaven came down the aisle at that moment. His breath hitched in his chest. She was amazing. She was positively glowing as she came to meet him on the arm of her father. They stopped just short of the stage and looked at The Headmaster.
Albus smiled. \"Who gives this woman in marriage?\"
Mr. Granger smiled. \"Her mother and I.\" He turned to Hermione and kissed her cheek gently. \"Love you.\" He turned to Severus and offered his hand. \"Take care of her, son.\" Severus shook the man\'s hand and nodded his compliance.
Hermione slipped her hand into Severus\'s and stepped onto the stage. He looked amazing. It was all she could do to keep her hands off of hihe the turned to Albus as he began the ceremony.
\"We gladly receive this company today, to share the joy as Hermione Granger and Severus Snape are united in marriage. If there is any here who can show just cause that these people should not be joined into the bonds of marriage, let them speak now, or keep their silence for all time.\" There was no sound.
He turned back to the couple. \"You stand before this company and before your personal gods, seeking to become one with each other. You have entered into this union with open eyes and full hearts. If either of you know of any reason why these vows should not be made, speak now.\" Neither participant spoke.
Albus smiled. \"Hermione and Severus decided to incorporate the muggle tradition of marriage into this union. They have written their own vows to each other and will share them now.\"
Hermione turned to Severus. \"Severus Snape. I have known you most of my life. My first potions class scared me. I knew that you would not be impressed by mere knowledge. I knew that I would have to prove myself to you. I spent the next six years trying to do just that. Many things have happened to us, both together and apart, but they have made us stronger. I now know that I am strong enough to be with you forever. I love you. I am yours always. From now until the last breath I take. Believe me when I say it is the sweetest of all.\"
Severus smiled at her. \"Hermione Granger. You were and still are a know-it-all. Your thirst for knowledge was one of the many traits that drew me to you. From the time you set my robes on fire your first year, to your help in the defeat of Voldemort, I have watched you grow and change into this woman that stands before me; this same woman that I love with every fiber of my being. I have told you before that you are everything to me. I shall continue to tell you this everyday of our lives together. You are more perfect than any potion I could create and I do love you, my powerful, sweet witch.\"
Both turned back to Albus. \"May we have the rings?\" Both were produced and placed in his hand. \"These rings, a token of your love for one another, serve as a reminder that all in life is a cycle; all comes to pass and passes away and comes to pass again. May the element of Air bless these rings. Air is at the beginning of all things, the direction of East, and the dawning of a new day. May your lives through the reminder of this ring be blessed with continuing renewal of love.\" He passed each ring through the smoke of the incense burning beside him.
\"May the element of Fire bless these rings. Fire is the passion within your love, the spark of love itself, the heat of anger, and the warmth of compassion. It is the direction of South, the heat of midday. May your lives through the reminder of this ring be blessed with continual warmth.\" He passed the rings through the flame of fire burning on the dais.
\"May the element of Water bless these rings. Water nourishes and replenishes us, the waters of emotion and harmony pour vitality into our lives. It is the direction of West, the afternoon and evening. May your lives through the reminder of this ring be blessed with fulfillment and contentment.\" He submerged the rings in water.
\"May the element of Earth bless these rings. All life springs from the earth and returns to the earth, the direction of North, the nighttime. May your lives through the reminder of this ring be blessed with strength and solidity.\" He touched the rings to the stone of Hogwarts.
\"These rings symbolize your love for each other. The metal circles your finger like your love for each other circles your heart. The circle is perfect, without beginning or end, with no weakness and never-ending. Such is your love. Hermione, take Severus\'s ring and place it on his finger, and repeat after me.\"
She took the ring from his hand and placed it on Severus\'s left ring finger. She repeated the words as she looked into his eyes. \"With this ring, I thee wed. Take it and wear it as a symbol of my love for you, perfect and never ending, without beginning and without end. Let it be a reminder that we are bound to each other, both now and forever.\"
Albus turned to Severus. \"Take Hermione\'s ring, place it on her left ring finger and repeat after me.\"
Severus placed the ring gently on Hermione\'s finger. \"With this ring, I thee wed. Take it and wear it as a symbol of my love for you, perfect and never ending, without beginning and without end. Let it be a reminder that we are bound to each other, both now and forever.\"
Albus lifted the binding cord for all to see. \"Woven into this cord, imbued into its very fibers, are all the hopes of your friends and family, and of yourselves, for your new life together. With the fashioning of this knot do I tie all the desires, dreams, love, and happiness wished here in this place to your lives for as long as love shall last.\" He pulled the knot tight and smiled at the couple. Dumbledore smiled. \"By the power vested in me as Headmaster of Hogwarts school and the Wizarding Community, I now pronounce you man and wife. What the gods have joined together, let no man put asunder. Severus, you may kiss your bride.\"
Severus turned to his new wife and smiled. He cupped her face in his hands, pulling her into a kiss. Time stood still. They were one. Everyone in the room could feel the power that bound them together. They finally broke away from each other, breath coming in gasps. She smiled at him. \"No more waiting.\"
The couple turned around. Dumbledore clapped his hands. \"Ladies and Gentlemen, let me be the first to introduce you to Mr. And Mrs. Severus and Hermione Snape. I wish them well on their life together.\"

Later, they apperated to the small cabin they were staying at for their honeymoon. The fire was going and Hermione was wrapped in Severus\'s arms in front of it. He kissed her neck gently.
She snuggled against him, their rings flashing in the firelight. Severus took her ringed hand in his and entwined their fingers. She smiled. \"I\'m the luckiest woman in the world.\"
He kissed her again. \"I\'m the happiest man in the world.\"
She turned in his arms and smiled as he lay her back against the rug. \"I plan on keeping you that way.\"

Later, Severus lay with his head pillowed on Hermione\'s breasts. His hand was gently stoking her side. She smiled, her fingers twisting a strand of his hair. He was smiling. She bumped him with her stomach. \"What are you smiling about?\"
He leaned up on his elbow and looked at her. \"Today. This day has been indescribable. Thank you for making me so happy.\"
She grinned and pulled him up for a kiss. \"It was my pleasure. You made me just as happy. I can\'t believe it. We\'re married.\"
He grinned as he kissed her and then wrapped her in his arms. \"Now and forever my love. Now and forever.\"
