Seduce My Father - Complete
Unlikely Help
"I'm just so confused, Adrien... Why did this have to happen? He's in so much pain it's... distressing." Hermione mused to her best friend.
Adrien smiled sadly.
"You don't think that even if you don't get those memories back, you couldn't find it in your heart to still love him?" he asked.
"Of course I could... I mean,... You can't very well read into someone's true mind and thoughts and not feel a single sliver of affection toward that person. And my letter to him... I know there was something there. But I just... I don't remember it." Hermione replied sadly.
It had been a few days since Severus had given her his journal to read, and she had poured over every entry in it, desperate to know the man better.
"Look, Hermione... I know you still love him. Or... You've fallen in love with him again, rather. When we figure out a way to get your memories back, then it'll come ten-fold, and you'll feel so much for him your heart will burst. Just give it time... I think Luna may be close to a solution. She asked her father to owl her any books that he has that have anything pertaining to magical creatuers in them... Hopefully with Xeno's help, we'll be able to figure it out." Adrien rambled reassuringly.
"When will he be able to owl the books? I'd really like to help you two... I mean... They are my memories, after all." Hermione said.
"He'll be sending them tomorrow. I've just owled him today to ask." Luna supplied.
"Has Severus asked Professor Dumbledore?" Hermione asked.
Adrien shook his head. "No. I don't believe it would be a good solution to ask the old man. If he was to ask him, he'd have a lot of explaining to do, wouldn't he?"
Hermione's heart sank even further as she hugged the dark wizard's journal even closer to her chest. There was something there, she could feel it. Yet, she was desperate to remember fully. And then another question dawned on her.
"Adrien... Have we... You know?"
Adrien glanced sideways at her and tried to stifle a quite obvious laugh.
"Well yeah." he replied simply.
Hermione's cheeks flushed red instantly. "When?"
"Halloween night. He shagged you right on his desk in his study. It was fucking righteous." Adrien laughed.
"So I'm... Not a virgin..." she blushed.
Adrien shook his head. "Nope. And from the sounds of it, you two have been shagging eachother every night since then. Up until... You know." the younger Snape said with no shame, obviously finding it comical and rewarding.
"What about Hagrid?" Hermione said suddenly.
Adrien and Luna looked around at her like she was insane.
"Well... He does know all kinds of things about magical creatures doesn't he?"
"Seraphims are a supposedly "mythical" creature, Hermione... But I reckon we could give it a go." Adrien shrugged.
The three of them scrambled quickly out of the Slytherin Common room and ran out of the castle down to Hagrid's hut, where Adrien frantically beat on the door.
"Hold on, hold on." came Hagrid's voice from inside, followed by heavy footfalls.
The door came open revealing the half-giant, and he instantly smiled seeing the three of them
"'Ermione, Adrien, Luna.. How nice to see you all. Come in." he said, moving aside so the three of them could file in.
"Hagrid, we have a question." Hermione said.
"Alrigh'... What sort of question?"
"Seraphims. Do you know anything about them?" Adrien asked.
Hagrid's faced morphed into a quizzical expression as he thought about it.
"Not really... I mean, they're a mythical creature ain't they?"
Hermione's hopeful heart dropped once more.
"Why are you askin' about Seraphims anyway? Are you lot in trouble?" Hagrid asked.
"No... No trouble... It's just a long story, Hagrid." Adrien sighed, rubbing his face with his hands.
"I've lost my memories because of a Seraphim, Hagrid... We need to know how to reverse the spell she put on me." Hermione rushed.
"Lost yer memories? How so? You seem like the same old 'Ermione to me. What are you on about?" Hagrid asked, clearly confused.
"Well, not all my memories... Hagrid, can you keep a secret?" Hermione asked.
"Well, of course... I don't believe I've ever told anyone all the mischief that you and 'Arry and Ron have gotten yourselves into over the years. I don't see why one more will hurt." Hagrid mused thoughtfully.
Hermione, with Adrien's help plunged into the long story and told Hagrid virtually everything.
"So... You're in love with Professor Snape..." Hagrid concluded. "Well... That's not something I saw comin'."
"Please, Hagrid, no one can know. Not right now anyway... Do you have any solutions? Any at all?" Hermione asked, hopefully.
"Well...-" Hagrid began stroking his beard, deep in thought. "I won't say that it is guaranteed to work, 'Ermione, but you could always try to mix an antidote with the Seraphim's blood..."
Hermione and Adrien perked up at this. Why hadn't they thought of that? Only problem was... The Seraphim was dead.
"The Seraphim is dead, Hagrid... Her blood is in the best sense... Unattainable." Adrien mused.
The half-giant smiled and leaned in toward the three, and stared pointedly at them.
"Is it now? What'd you use to kill it?" He asked, with a slight smile.
The three looked to one another with wide eyes, and immediately stood to leave the hut.
"Thanks Hagrid!" Hermione gushed, hugging the huge man.
"Run along now... Don' get yerselves into trouble!" Hagrid shouted after them.
