Ultimate Betrayal: Chapter 31
Longbottom Manor: Britain
Augusta Longbottom had just returned from Gringotts Bank, hoping to find a way to get a message to her grandson. However, the Goblins had told her that with the current lockdown in Magical America it was futile to try. For if, her grandson was there it was in all likely hood as a prisoner of war, and he would remain as such.
She really needed to make sure Neville was all right. As well as letting him know what had been happening in Britain. The Minister had signed an ally agreement with the Dark Lord in hopes that together they could take down the American Army. However, to her that was like signing everyone’s death sentence.
The Demons and the Dark Lords people started taking innocent people for play toys. In addition, when finished dropped them off in various locations. Some were found dead while others were so crazy they had been placed in the mental ward of St. Mongues. Thus causing many wizards and witches to remain indoors.
As she made her way behind the desk in the main study, she noticed there were two letters. That in itself was not out of the ordinary, but what made these stand out was the fact they were encased in muggle paper. She turned one over only to gasp at the seal. It was purple with a large crescent moon. Not knowing what a Vampire Clan would want with her, she opened as a feeling cold dread ran through her.
Matriarch Longbottom,
My name is High Kindred Lord Zion, Master Vampire of the Crescent Moon & First Advisor to the King of Magic. This missive is to inform you of the status of one Neville Longbottom. Just recently, I discovered that Mr. Longbottom was my chosen mate. As such, I asked a boon from the King of Magic, and was granted claim of my mate.
This correspondence is for your benefit as well as my mates. You should find another letter carrying the same seal. That will contain my mate’s letter to you. My mate will not be returning to Britain, my Lady. For as a mate to myself, he must remain close to me at all times.
As well as the King of Magic has asked me to inform you that he wishes to speak to you. Moreover, commands you to send a correspondence informing his Majesty when you will be available to arrive in America. Know this Madam if you chose to ignore the Kings request, neither my mate nor I can guarantee your safety.
High Kindred Lord Zion
Master Vampire of the Crescent Moon
First Advisor to the King of Magic
“Oh, Neville what have you gotten yourself in to?” Whispered Augusta as she placed the letter down, reaching for the one that was her grandsons.
Gran.,
I am so sorry for not being strong enough to tell the Headmaster no. For now, I am only granted my freedom by becoming the mate to a Vampire. Do not feel as though you are to blame for my weakness. I have been taken care of surprisingly well even for being a prisoner.
The Vampire told me that I was not allowed to leave America to see you. However, the King wanted you to come here. I don’t know what he wants to discuss with you, but hope that you will come. I need you here before and after my turning. In addition, maybe to give me some resemblance of home.
The King wants me to answer questions that arise during the other interrogations. I am not sure how much help I will be. Perhaps you would be able to help the King with answers that I cannot. Please, Please, Please Gran., come to America.
Love You & Miss You
Your Grandson
Neville
Augusta finished the letter with tears failing down her face. She could tell that Neville was scared of what was to happen. She was more determined to get to her grandson, now more than ever. Grabbing parchment and ink, she sent a formal missive to the King of Magic letting him know that she would come to America.
With what was happening with the Ministry and the Dark Lord needed safe passage to get there. Having the letter sent to her Goblin Manager stating she needed him to forward her message to the King. She went about packing her things; there was no way she would return to Britain without her grandson. As it seemed to her would not be returning, she would find a way to adapt to America on way or another.

Avalon: King Study
Wyatt was currently walking around his newly renovated study, he did not like it. This new study felt cold and unwelcoming. The color on the wall was shit brown, not cream and blue like it had been. Even the tiles were a darker brown as well. There was no way he would be able to work in this room. At least not until he had the color changed.
He was about to walk out when he noticed his brother standing in the doorway. Great, not only is Aiden at the bank. Now I have to deal with Chris. Wyatt thought as he motioned for his brother to enter.
“This is different.” Chris stated as he cringed at the ugly color in Wyatt’s new study.
“Shit brown! What can I do for you?” Wyatt responded coldly as he went to stand behind the cherry oak desk.
Great, why did he have to be so stubborn. Chris thought as he took a seat in front of the desk. Knowing he needed to get out what he came here to say, pressed on.
“I don’t want Aiden, Wyatt. Yes, his magic is intoxicating to me. But I know he belongs to you and I would never try to covet him. I was jealous of what the two of you had. And I wanted that as well. Please brother I need you to understand.”
Wyatt blinked as he listened to Chris ramble out his feelings. Wyatt so wanted to believe him, but the words from his brother before still stung. “What about the other things. The thoughts about Aiden not being right for me. The fact you did not like his submissive behavior toward me. The fact that you brought up my wanting children with one of Avalon’s lieutenants sitting in this very room. What about those things?”
“Shit Wyatt, I thought you were straight as did the rest of our family. Not once had you dated a person, even thrown off any advancement from several Kindred Lords and others of nobility. Next thing we know a wandless wizard shows up unexpectedly. In addition, you do a three sixty and migrate towards him. “Chris stated with frustration, as he threw his arms in the air. “As for him being submissive, it bothers me because he’s so powerful. The comment about the children, well men can not have children.” Chris stopped abruptly as he heard laughter.
Wyatt could not help himself, he laughed. The anger from earlier was all but gone. It took him several moments to regain his composure to speak. “Chris, show how much our family knows about me. I have dated both men and women, very discretely might I add. As for Aiden being submissive, that is a true gift and takes a lot of trust for someone to place their life and well being in another’s hands. Children well, wizards can have them if they are powerful enough. I will not go with children, brother that I can assure you.”
Chris was speechless; his mouth was moving however, no sound was coming out. He was shocked with what his brother had just said. He could not believe he missed the signs that Wyatt was bi, not straight or gay. And just finding out that Aiden could carry children was amazing.
“So, you’re saying you like both and Aiden’s submissiveness is a gift. Moreover, he can have your children. Did I understand you right?” Chris rambled out once he gained his voice.
Wyatt smiled.
“Well hell, I just made a fool myself didn’t I? Are we ok now?” Chris asked with a red face, embarrassed by his own stupidity.
“Yes and yes, brother-mine.” Wyatt chuckled as he watched his brothers face.
Chris stood with a sharp nod before exiting the room. He needed to get away from his brother before he made another blunder. One that he may not be able to fix the next time.
Not noticing Aiden had slipped into the study as he exited. For if he did he would have been more embarrassed.
Aiden raised an eyebrow as he walked into his husbands’ new study. Then winced at the color, before waving his hands around sending a spell to bring the original cream and blue back to the walls. Then without a word did the same to the tiles on the floor, making them once again a beautiful ocean blue.
Wyatt sighed as Aiden entered the room. Only to notice his magic flare to life changing everything back the way he liked it. Noticing that Aiden was finished he stood to great his husband. “How was your meeting, my own?” Only to step back when he noticed the dark look appear on Aiden’s face.
“When had I become your personal mail boy, husband-mine?”
“What?” Wyatt asked confused, until Aiden pressed a letter into his hands.
“I was right in the middle of a major business deal. When some wizard, that I have never met walked into the meeting room. Comes right up to me and says, Mr. Halliwell you are to give this letter to your dominate immediately.” Aiden smiled coldly as he advanced on his husband. “Can you just imagine how embarrassing that was? Now I have no problem taking orders from you. But I will not take orders from some weak wizard that I’ve never met.”
Wyatt paled. “What did you do Aiden?”
Smirking Aiden pulled out a miniature sculpture of what looked like a man. Stated as he sat the sculpture on to his husbands’ desk. “I showed him what happens when someone tries to order me that is not my husband.”
“Oh Great Mother! Is he still alive?” Wyatt cringed, but gasped when he saw the eyes move on the sculpture. Yeah still alive. Wyatt thought with a shutter, before looking at his husband.
“Thought you may need a new paperweight, husband-mine.” Aiden remarked with innocent eyes.
Wyatt’s eyes widened as he responded, “How thoughtful of you my own.” While inside his thoughts were running like a waterfall. Now what am I suppose to do? I cannot leave the man like that. I never would have thought my husband would do something like this. As he saw the glint inside those silvery blue eyes, was that amusement? Yes, yes it was.
“We can’t leave him this way husband-mine.” Wyatt remarked sharply
“I know that Wyatt, but he had to be punished. He caused me to lose a major business contract. “Aiden stated as his eyes narrowed on the sculpture.
“How did he do that?” Wyatt asked glancing down at the sculpture with curiosity.
“By making the comment that I should not be making deals without my dominates approval, husband-mine.” Aiden hissed with anger.
“I see, well release him and I will fix his mouth.” Wyatt sighed, before watching Aiden do as he asked.
“You’re crazy! Do you have any idea who I am?” came the voice of the man as he was released, before trying to aspparate out of the room.
“ENOUGH! You will be silent wizard.” Wyatt commanded as he placed the man in a chair before him.
“What do you want with me?” Stated the man before Wyatt and Aiden.
“Nothing, however you will apologize to my husband for your words. And I assure you I will be in contact with the Secretary of Magic, for your conduct.” Wyatt stated with authority.
“What about him? Are you going to let him get away with what he has done to me?”
“No, my husband will be punished accordingly. Now wizard apologize to my husband.” Wyatt stated coldly, ignoring the slight tremor that ran through Aiden.
“Fine as long as he’s punished.” The man remarked with a smirk, before turning to Aiden. “I, Trey Jengens apologize to you King Consort for my comment.”
Oh Shit! Aiden thought as he heard the man’s name. Noticing how Wyatt stiffened even more at learning whom he had made into a sculpture.
Trey then turned back to Wyatt with a low bow. “Tell my sister-in-law hello for me, King Wyatt.” Before aspprating out of the study.
Aiden knew he was in serious trouble now. Looking up through his bangs to see the cold look of his husband. He wanted to say he was sorry, but could not seem to get the words out.
“Go to our chambers and stay there, until I come for you.” Wyatt’s cold calculated voice commanded, he did not want to yell at his husband. He just needed time to try to fix this major blunder.
“Husband?”
“NOW!” Roared Wyatt as he orbed his husband out of the room. Before orbing himself to the Ministry of Magic.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ministry of Magic: Washington, DC
Secretary of Magic Gloria Jengens had just sat down behind her desk when the sight of orbs appeared in front of her. Leaving behind a cold faced King. She had no clue what she had done or didn’t do. Gloria opened her mouth to speak, when Wyatt held his hand up to silence her.
“Secretary, I am not here on business. But because of what Aiden has done to a Trey Jengens.” Wyatt’s cold voice stated before sitting in the chair provided.
Gloria Jengens slumped in her seat. Thoughts of what Aiden could have done to her husbands’ brother came flowing around her. “What did he do? Is Trey hurt?” Came tumbling out of her mouth like water.
“Nothing but his pride.” Wyatt stated before rubbing his hands over his face. “However he delivered a letter for me to Aiden. In the middle of a major business deal, Aiden was trying to gain. Moreover stated that Aiden should give the letter to his dominate immediately as well he should have gotten my approval before trying to make deals.”
“Aiden retaliated by?” Gloria stated her face going from anger to curious.
“By turning Trey into a miniature sculpture and bring him to me to use as a paperweight.” Wyatt responded with a groan.
What happened next was not what Wyatt expected. The Secretary of Magic, better known as the Iron Lady laughed. Not just any laugh, but one of full amusement. Wyatt just sat there blinking as he watched her.
“I’m sorry Wyatt, but that just made my day. Trey is homo-phobic and when he learned that, you had taken a husband that submitted to you. Well let us just say he was a bit irate. What Aiden did to him is poetic justice if you ask me. Please tell me you didn’t punish Aiden?” Gloria stated with amusement, but when she saw the blank look on Wyatt’s face at her asking if Aiden was punished, bothered her slightly. “You punished him, didn’t you?”
“Well not per say. But I did demand him to our chambers until I came for him.” Wyatt stated with wide eyes, he was going to have to do some ass kissing when he arrived back at the Castle.
“Then perhaps you should get going then. And let Aiden off the hook.” Gloria remarked
Wyatt nodded before orbing out of her office. When he was gone, Gloria went to the fireplace to floo her husband, just to let him know what had happened. She was sure he would get a laugh out of this as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wyatt & Aiden’s Chambers
Aiden dropped to the floor hard when he has orbed into their bedroom. Wincing as he climbed to his feet, he knew his ass was going to have a bruise, from that landing. However, could not bring himself to care.
Oh, he was angry with that man for what he had caused. Thinking if he had known who he was at the beginning, he was not sure if he would have done anything differently. The only thing that bothered him now was his husband was angry with him.
Knowing that he would not be able to leave until Wyatt came. Decided to undress down to his boxers and crawl into bed. He knew Wyatt would go to the Secretary before punishing him. And was a little afraid of what that punishment would entail. Pulling the covers over his body, he decided to try to have a nap.
Not an hour later Wyatt had returned to Avalon, orbing directly into the main room of their chambers. Not seeing Aiden in the room, he moved to the sitting room. When he was not there. He moved toward the bedroom. He had better not have left. Wyatt thought before opening the door. For if Aiden had left the chambers Wyatt would certainly punish him, for disobeying a direct order.
So when he saw the small lump, and light snoring from the King sized bed. He felt a small smile form on his lips. Grateful that Aiden did not go against his direct order. Moving slowly as to not wake his husband, and proceeded to take a seat in the lounge chair beside the bed. He planned to wait until Aiden awoke from his nap.
Wyatt did not have to wait long. Not twenty minutes from the time he sat, Aiden began to stir. He watched as his husband stretched, but when he heard a wince, he wondered what had caused Aiden to be in pain.
Aiden stretched with his eyes still closed. Only to wince as he rolled onto his back. He knew that his ass was most definitely bruised. Yawning he turned to his left, opening his eyes. Only to see Wyatt sitting beside the bed with a blank expression.
“Finally awake I see.” Wyatt stated blankly, he wanted Aiden to be aware that even though the Secretary found what he had done amusing. Those actions of that nature had consequences. “Aiden, I really don’t know whether to kiss you or bust your ass.” Wyatt stopped for a moment, trying to ignore his husbands’ face become pale.
“Even though I find what you did distasteful. That man had no right to say those things to you. But since the wizard was unharmed all but his pride, I will not punish you. But if you do this again, I will not be so kind.” Wyatt exclaimed with finality.
Aiden just laid there listening to his husband. He was glad that Wyatt would not be punishing him. He did not think he could stand having Wyatt punish him. It hurt to hear Wyatt telling him that his actions were dishonorable. No he did not out right say he acted in a dishonorable fashion, but it was there just the same. “I promise this will not happen again.” Aiden whispered to his husband, trying to hold back his tears.
“You’re right it won’t, because from this moment on, you will stay by my side. Damn it Aiden, Secretary Jengens could have demanded retribution from you, from us because of how you handled yourself. Hell she could have even gone as far as to ask that her entire family watch you being punished. Be thankful that she found what you had done amusing. ”
At that Aiden climbed out of the bed, went to Wyatt dropping to his knees. “I am sorry Wyatt, not for what I did to that man. But for putting you in the middle of it.” Aiden stated softly placing his hands on Wyatt’s thighs, looking directly into his husbands blue eyes.
“Get dressed we have a formal meeting with Lord Zion in twenty minutes. I’ll meet you out in the sitting room.” Wyatt announced as he pulled his husband up the straddle him. Then proceeded to kiss him breathless. When the kiss was broken, Wyatt lifted Aiden to his feet. Before walking out of the room, leaving Aiden to dress.
Aiden watched his husband as he walked out. He couldn’t help but smile, as he quickly dressed for that meeting. He knew that Wyatt had forgiven him.
