To Fat to Play
Harry rubbed his aching back and wished that the babies would hurry up and be born. There was nothing enjoyable about being pregnant and all of those nutty women who said it was a great thing, were insane. He was happy that this was the last time. He grinned when he thought of the five children that he and Draco would have. Both of them had grown up as lonely only children and had wanted a large family. They were definitely going to get their wish.
“Harry, would you like to go sit down?” Arabella asked. “I thought that I would go for a walk and give you and Draco time alone with the children.”
Harry grinned. “I would love that.”
He walked over to Draco and smiled at his transfigured lounge chair. “Where’s mine?” he asked.
Draco flicked his wand at a branch lying on the ground next to him and seconds later a matching chair appeared next to his. Harry sat down with a groan and then a moan of happiness. “Ahh!” he said in pleasure.
“Harry, Lilly was sad that she wouldn’t be here when the babies were born so I told her that she could pick the name of this baby.”
Harry nodded. “I think that’s fair. What did she pick?”
“She said she wants it to be a surprise and she was going to tell Siri. When the baby is born then he will tell us.”
“God help this poor baby!” Harry said grinning. “It will probably be named something very strange.”
“Do you think so?”
“She just spent the past six months in America, what do you think?”
“Gods, Harry, I didn’t think of that! American’s always name their children something odd!”
“Nothing we can do about it now, big mouth. Next time don’t agree to it until you have a name first. It sure is beautiful here,” he said looking around.
“Very peaceful. It sooths my nerves. I wish that I knew where we were. This is a place that I would love to come back to again.”
“We can ask Arabella when Lilly is done training. I am sure she would tell us then.”
“I could place a tracking spell, and then when we get home we would be able to find it again,” Draco said.
“Draco Lucius Malfoy, don’t you dare! You place a tracking spell and anyone can find this place! How would Lilly be safe then? Your Slytherin side is showing again!” Harry said.
“Of course, you’re right. I guess that I just forgot.” Draco watched as the kids walked towards them with huge grins on their faces. He was worried.
“I picked a name, Daddy. If it’s a girl I get to pick, and if it’s a boy, I let Siri choose.”
Siri wrinkled his name and said, “Hope for a boy, dad.”
Harry laughed. “I am sure that whatever your sister picked out will be great! I am more worried about your name,” Harry teased.
“At least mine is normal.”
“Oh, Harry!” Draco groaned.
“Do you want me to tell you, I told you so?”
“Don’t even think about it, Potter!”
“Lilly, how is your kitty? Is he getting big yet?”
Lilly’s face lit up. “Drarrius is huge! He is so sweet! I love him so much!” she said excitedly. “Can I get another one? Arabella said that you could never have to many kitty’s.”
Draco shuddered at the thought of what too many cats smelled like. “Why don’t we wait until you get home? Arabella told us that you have to move often, so maybe it would be better if you waited until you had a more settled life.”
Lilly’s shoulders sagged but she nodded her head. “I guess your right. But when I get home, I want one for every year that I have been gone!” she demanded.
“Ugh!” Draco said. “Lilly that is way too many cats. Hogwarts only allows you to take one pet at a time. What would I do with all of those cats running around the manor?”
“Flunky could baby-sit them for me!”
“More than likely Flunky would cook them in our stew!” Siri said with a giggle.
“Sirius!” Harry said trying not to laugh.
“Daddy, would flunky cook my kitty?” she demanded of Draco.
Draco looked at her and said very seriously, “Yes, he would.” He did not want five cats in his house.
“Draco!” Harry said, this time howling with laughter.
“You guys are mean!” she shouted thrusting her lip out and folding her arms across her chest with her green eyes flashing. She looked exactly like Draco when he didn’t get his way.
The three of them laughed as Lilly still tried to keep her pouting look on her face. She lost it and started to laugh after a few moments. “You’re just kidding me!”
“You know, Lilly, I have very rarely ever in your life told you no for anything that you have asked for, but I refuse to have five cats running around my home. Don’t bother giving me that look, because I will not change my mind.”
Lilly looked at her father shrewdly. “I have heard, that you like ferrets. Perhaps you could buy me a ferret?” she asked very sweetly.
Draco gasped and then glared at Harry. “Did you tell her?” he demanded
Harry gasped clutching his belly while he laughed. His sides hurt and tears rolled down his face while he tried to control his laughing. “I swear,” he gasped, “I never told!”
“I told!” Siri shout triumphantly. “Uncle Ron told me!”
“I am going to kill that Weasel!” Draco hissed.
“Speaking of Uncle Ron, he and Aunt Luna are going to have a baby!”
“Really?” Lilly asked clapping her hands together. “When?”
“At about the same time as the twins are born.”
“Wow! Are they having a boy or a girl, dad?”
“I don’t know yet. I do know that your Aunt Hermione is also having a baby.”
“Another baby! Everyone is having a baby! Do you know what she is having?”
“No, but I do know that it is going to be born around your birthday.”
“Then I might be home to see it!” she said excitedly. “Tell her to have it then!”
Harry laughed. “I will be sure to tell her that you said to have it when you are home.”
“She loves me, dad, she’ll do it!”
“Lilly, come sit here on my lap and let me hug you. I’m too fat to chase you around anymore, and I just want to hold you,” Draco told her holding out his arms.
Siri snorted with laughter and watched his sister try to find a spot on his lap to sit. “The baby takes up your whole lap, dad!” he said.
“I swear to the god’s, Siri,” he started with a glare.
“Siri, your dad is a bit emotional right now. Perhaps we could leave him be and let off of the teasing for awhile?”
Siri rolled his eyes but nodded his head. “Alright. Are you too emotional to tease also?” he demanded of his father.
Harry smiled. “Definitely.”
“Liar!” Siri said sticking out his tongue.
“Just you wait Sirius Draco Potter-Malfoy! When I get out of this chair I will get you!” Harry said trying to stand.
Siri stood there watching his father try to get up. “It will take you ten minutes to get up, and then another ten to waddle after me!” he said with a grin.
“I do not waddle!” Harry said quite affronted.
Draco laughed. “I am sorry to say, that you definitely do waddle, Harry!”
“Oh look who’s talking! You are the King of the Waddlers!”
“You are so not nice!” Draco grinned.
“I am sorry to say, that your fathers are just way to pregnant to be much fun right now,” Draco said apologizing to his daughter.
“Its ok, daddy. I just wanted to see you.”
“Can you tell us a story, daddy?” Siri asked Harry.
“Yeah, can you?” Lilly begged.
“What would you like to hear?” he asked.
“I want to hear about the first time you met daddy!”
Draco groaned. “Not this one!”
“It all started when we were eleven years old. I went into Madame Maulkins to get my first pair of robes. There was a very spoiled little boy preening in front of a mirror…”
“Harry, would you like to go sit down?” Arabella asked. “I thought that I would go for a walk and give you and Draco time alone with the children.”
Harry grinned. “I would love that.”
