Chapter Thirty Nine

Chapter Thirty Nine

Ollivander found dead in compromising situation!

Mr. Ollivander, the world famous wand maker was found dead in his London home last night. When the shop was closed for two consecutive days concerned neighbours insisted that the ministry search the properties. They found Mr. Ollivander and his lodger dead in the master bedroom.

The ministry reports that there was signs of a brief struggle before the two were over powered. Although there has been no official ministry explanation it is expected that he-who-must-not-be-named and his followers will be found to be behind the attack. The increasing frequency of such attacks certainly points to what seems to be the coming war between the ministry and the so called Dark Lord. In order to prevent future events of this sort the ministry has decreed a set of safety regulations which all households are advised to follow.

The absence of Mr. Ollivander will be deeply felt in the wizarding community. All the witches and wizards born in the last sixty years will have bought their first wand from him. It is to be considered deeply ironic that it is almost definitly one of the wands he made and sold that was used to kill him. The loss of his knowledge and ability in wand making will leave massive gapes in the field of wand making.

The death of his male lodger is less easily explicable, again the ministry has not commented, but it does not seem as though he was taken from the smaller bedroom upstairs. The bed of which was not slept in.

The shadows that this casts on Mr. Ollivander must be considered most unfortunate at this time. Although nothing is certain, neighbours have commented that Mr Ollivander and Mr Johnson have been living together for as long as everyone can remember and appeared to be very close.

Distant relations of Mr. Ollivander have asked that the wizarding community don’t jump to any conclusions about Mr. Ollivander’s relationship with this Mr. Johnson. No close family have seconded this appeal, as Mr. Ollivander died childless. (Article continues on page two)
