Chapter Thirty-Seven
A foray into the past - this should be the last one! SP
Chapter Thirty-Seven
Severus stood, a little confused and apprehensive, in the Headmaster’s office. He couldn’t think of anything he had done recently that warranted Dumbledore’s attention.
“Sit down, my dear boy, sit down.” The man said appearing suddenly, bearing a tray of tea and biscuits.
Severus did, hiding his nervousness by pleating the fabric of his robes.
Albus sat down as well and peered over the top of his spectacles at the boy. “I wanted to thank you for taking such good care of our visitor whilst he was with us.”
Severus felt pain and betrayal clench his heart. Aidan. He had left without a word. Not a note. Nothing. And since his departure, Severus had had a permanent fucking hard on. He wondered what the other had done to him. He was having trouble standing up anymore, his cock hurt that much.
“I am aware that his sudden departure was deeply unsettling for you, but it could not be helped. His condition worsened very abruptly, and it was felt that he needed to be with his family in case the worse should happen.”
Severus’ pain changed to fear in seconds. “Oh, Merlin,” he gasped, “is he all right?”
Albus said nothing, and Severus’ face crumpled. “No,” he rasped, “please, don’t say he di-died.”
“I’m very sorry, Severus,” Dumbledore spoke gently. “He went back to America to spend some time with his relatives. Sadly, that time turned out to be very short. He died last night.”
There was a pause, broken only by the stifled sobs Severus was making. Fawkes cawked softly and flew across the room to sit in the boy’s lap, his doleful eyes somehow comforting.
“I was able to see him – very briefly – before the end, and he wanted me to tell you that he was very pleased to have known you. You were an important part of his life, and made his last few weeks precious. He also said that he was sorry you had had so little time together, he would have wanted more.”
Severus’ vision was completely blurred. Tears ran down his long nose and dripped into Fawkes’ feathers.
Albus let the boy cry.
Some ten minutes later, Severus hiccupped and wiped at his red eyes. “Thank you, sir, for telling me. I – I would like to return to my own quarters now.”
“Very well.” Dumbledore replied.
Back in his own dormitory, Severus was about to lie on the covers and sob quietly, but an owl sat on his bedside table, a rolled up letter by its side.
Baffled, but hoping that it was from Aidan, Severus opened it and began to read:
Dear Severus,
In regards to that matter you wished me to investigate, I have undertaken a full exploration and have discerned the following points:
1 – That the curse in question is not to be found amongst any of the numerous books Hogwarts possesses.
2 – Further investigation has not revealed the name nor provenance of the curse, although its effects can be elucidated.
3 – The effects of the curse are rather interesting (from a purely theoretical point of view). They are three fold:
i – The penis remains erect except for the brief moments after climax.
ii – Regular relief is needed (not undertaken by the cursed man) to avoid rather painful consequences
iii – Upon reaching what can best be described as taking full enjoyment of the situation, the curse’s second stage will become known – in direct opposition to the previous stage, the cursed man will be utterly unable to become erect, regardless of the stimulation.
I wish I had better news for you,
Lucius Malfoy.
Severus read and re-read the letter, horror growing. Lucius! Lucius had done this to him?! He felt fresh tears pricking at his eyes. He didn’t let them fall, instead he began to think about how he might cure himself.
