I apologize for the long wait. I got a new job and things have been a little hectic. Not to mention my brain was having some issues connecting to my fingers to type out the next few chapters. No worries, problem fixed :-) Enjoy, and there will be another chapter posted later this evening.

Hermione was applauding herself on her choice to make pancakes. It felt like Draco was in the room with her. She could practically feel him beside her, like a talisman. She started mixing the ingredients together, going back to the list in her head as she heard the shower running in the other room.

From what the clock told her it was nine in the morning, she’d been missing for seven hours. With a pang she realized she should be snuggling under covers with Draco at this moment.

A popping noise made her jump. Oddly she saw a magical piece of parchment begin to float in the living room. An invisible hand was writing across it.  Before she could unlock her legs from surprise, it vanished.

Utterly perplexed, she stared at the spot, trying to tie it in with the other thoughts clamoring for attention inside her head. Choosing to put it aside till later, Hermione concentrated on the other facts.

Fact Number One: He tried to take her at the gala. Which meant he was one of the invited, or worked there. Anyone else without clearance wouldn’t be allowed into such a high profile event.

Fact Number Two: He had followed her home. Otherwise any loitering charms would have gone off at the apartment.

Fact Number Three: He knew the location of her new apartment- in and of itself that was unsettling- but that meant he also knew about the different wards around her apartment and what he was allowed to do before setting them off. Hence why Roger was cursed outside the entrance to the alleyway. The wards wouldn’t pick that up unless the curse was held in place for an extended period of time, hence why he attacked her physically and not with magic.

Fact Number Four: He knew that she was going to be leaving the apartment again. Either he was clairvoyant or he heard the conversation between her and Draco in the hallway at the gala.

…. Hermione flipped a pancake robotically, not really seeing the food but the hideous conclusion forming in her head. The Draco image in her head was urging her to continue.

Fact Number Five: The only person she knew who could know all previous facts were herself, Draco, and Henry Serpens.

The only thing she couldn’t figure out was why. The barely knew each other. The only mutual person they could know was Pansy. And maybe Blaise.

“Smells delicious.” Came a voice whispering into her right ear.

Hermione cringed and dropped the spatula. She heard an amused laugh and felt his head leaning over her shoulder.  “There was a floating parchment in the living room.” She stated refusing to turn around.

She felt his lips move towards her hair. “Don’t you worry your pretty little head about that. I thought we could invite a friend of yours to join us for dinner.”  He responded, pushing away from her. Hermione turned around to see him tapping a sealed parchment with a bow against the back of a chair. He was still polyjuiced as Oliver Stanley.

“Who are you inviting for dinner?” She asked uneasily.

“Someone who you seem extremely partial to, and who needs to learn you’re mine. And breaking those rules has certain consequences.”  He responded airily, making his way towards the living room.

Hermione watched his retreating back with some alarm. The only two people who would qualify would be Krum and Draco. Two people whom she did not want within fifty miles of this guy.

“Now, be good while I’m gone, pet. Eat, catch up on some reading, and take a shower to change out of those clothes. I’ll be back shortly.”  And with a distracting blinding light, he was gone.

Hermione ran forward to where he was previously standing.

How in the hell did he do that?
