Chapter 32
“WHAT?!?” Hermione yelled.
“HERMIONE! Sit down and be quiet please. I really don’t want the guys to find out yet. If Ash has any clue that I think I’m pregnant he would lock me up in a tower until after the final battle and if it is true that he needs me to fight he CAN’T know. Please Mione.”
Hermione sat back down, “I’m sorry Ali and you are right. He can’t know and neither can Draco. We need to get you to Hogwarts so that Madame Pomfrey can examine you.”
Ali smirked, “Along with you.”
“Me? Why would Poppy need to examine me?”
“Because I think that you are pregnant too.”
“Why would you say that?”
“Because you have the added aura around your abdomen that I do.”
“I do? Really?” Hermione asked her face lighting up.
“Yeah but if you are then we have to keep both of them in the dark. But we do need to tell Ash what we figured out.”
“Tell Ash what?”
“And what are you keeping from us?”
The girls turned around and ran towards their husbands. After each had kissed hello they all walked back to the benches and sat down. Hermione curling herself into Harry’s side and Ali leaning against Draco’s chest as his arm rested around her.
“We aren’t keeping anything from you guys Ash,” Ali said.
“Bullshit. I heard you tell Mione that you needed to keep us both in the dark but that you needed to tell me what you figured out,” Harry said pointedly.
“Ash?”
“Yeah Ice?”
“Do you trust me?”
“With my life Ice you know that.”
“Then trust me to tell you AND Drac what I am keeping from you when the time is right but this isn’t it.”
Harry tightened his arm around Hermione and looked down at her, “Do you know?”
“Yes Harry I do and Ali is right. This isn’t the time for you and Draco to know.”
Harry looked over at Draco, “You ok with this man?”
Draco put both arms around Ali and pulled her even closer, “I have to be Harry. Ali has never deliberately kept anything from me and if she needs to now then I just have to accept that.”
“Ok Ice I agree but I don’t like it.”
Ali sighed, “I know Ash and I don’t like it either but I have to right now.”
Harry pulled his arm from around Hermione and stood. He walked over to Ali and pulled her up and out of Draco’s arms. Wrapping his arms tightly around her he held her for a long time. He turned his face towards her and whispered in her ear, “Draco and I are going to be pissed when you finally do tell us aren’t we?”
Ali tightened her hold on her beloved twin and nodded. “I wish I could Ash but I can’t. If I did it would change everything and Mione and I finally figured out what the prophecy meant when it said that you have a power that the Dark Lord knows not.”
Harry walked back over to the bench still holding Ali in his arms. He didn’t know why but he knew deep in his heart that he couldn’t let her go right now. Hermione and Draco noticed the desperate look on his face and both accepted that right now Harry needed to make sure that Ali was ok. They each got up and sat on either side of Harry who had Ali in his lap. Hermione put her hand on Harry’s thigh and Draco grabbed a hold of Ali’s hand connecting all four of them.
Finally Harry spoke, “So what is the power that I have?”
It was Hermione that answered, “Ali.”
“Ali what?”
“No Harry Ali is the power that you have that Voldemort knows not. Your love for her and the bond that you two have plus your shared power is what is going to give you an added edge. If we can figure out a way to allow you to combine you power then that should be enough for you and Ali to defeat Voldemort.”
Draco spoke. “It makes sense Harry. Plenty of students at Hogwarts have squibs for parents and yet their magic isn’t bound like Ali’s was. If she wasn’t meant to help you fight Voldemort then Dumbledore would have allowed her to keep her magic and attend.”
Harry tightened his hold on Ali. “You must be insane if you think that I am letting that snake anywhere near my sister.”
Ali’s voice was slightly muffled as she said, “Ash you don’t have a choice. The minute my magic was reawakened it was my destiny to fight alongside you. That’s what I was meant to do. Besides Draco and Hermione will be there to have our backs. Face it bro you need me and YOU must be insane if you think I am letting you anywhere near that greasy snake without me.”
Draco and Hermione laughed at the chastised look on Harry’s face.
“She told you Harry.”
Harry grinned sheepishly, “Yeah she did Draco. You were right. We love her but she is kind of scary isn’t she?”
“Well what do you expect Potter? She is your sister after all.”
Harry laughed, “Watch who you are calling Potter Malfoy besides its Potter-Black if you truly want to insult me.”
Draco grinned “In that case quit calling me Malfoy Potter-Black. That’s Malfoy-VanLint to you.”
Ali and Hermione looked at each other and rolled their eyes at their husbands’ words. Finally Draco asked, “So what do we do now?”
Harry looked over at him, “Well now we need to find Hufflepuff’s cup as I am pretty sure that is the last Horcrux besides Nagini then Ali and I finish it.”
“Harry I know where Hufflepuff’s cup is.”
All three looked at Draco in shock. “How?” Harry breathed out.
“It’s in the Room of Requirement.”
“How do you know that Drac?”
“That’s where I hid last year and I saw it there.”
Harry stood and helped Ali stand up. Grabbing a hold of Hermione and looking over at Ali and Draco who were already holding each other he said grimly, “Then we need to get to Hogwarts and once we do the final battle will start.”
Looking straight at Draco he said, “No matter what happens you are now my brother and are under my protection. However I am proud to stand beside you and fight for our freedom.”
Draco nodded his agreement and said, “The same goes Harry. I will stand beside you but YOU also have my protection from Death Eaters no matter who they are. I would take on my own father if I needed to. Along with Ali you and Hermione are my family now and I will fight to the death if I need to protect my family.
All four teenagers looked at each other somberly before Harry said quietly, “Let’s get some sleep and we will leave at first light tomorrow.”
They all walked out of the garden to their rooms knowing that after this night their lives would never be the same.
