Chapter 28

Severus’ Chambers

Sipping his tea, Severus listened to what he felt was rambling from the Prince. He couldn’t believe Draco had brought the young man to him. Knowing that the Prince’s father could very well heal the boy.

“Let me get this straight, Prince. You had a meeting with your brother over Aiden. You explained your reasoning, however were demanded to leave. “Severus remarked trying to make what he was hearing make since. In addition, at the Prince’s nod, he continued. “I’ve noticed you have not mentioned Aiden. Was he not present for this meeting?”

Chris mumbled something under his breath.

“Speak up boy!” Snapped Severus, at this time not caring the boy before him was a Prince. Hell, he would have done the same thing to Aiden or anyone that wanted his help.

“Storm, Aiden was present in the form of Storm.” Chris hissed, his hand was throbbing something awful and he didn’t want to talk about this.

“I see, well there in lies the problem. What were you thinking while talking to your brother? Because I know that the only time Aiden changes to phoenix form is when the King wants him inside someone’s head.” Severus smirked smugly as he refilled his teacup.

Chris blinked, as he was trying to think of what was going through his mind at the time.
“I was angry at Wyatt, because he didn’t seem to care about the rumors. Moreover, I always thought he was straight; he was always talking about children. And I guess I was feeling jealous about what he and Aiden have together.”

“What do you feel about Aiden?” Severus stated calmly as the glanced toward Draco, hoping the Prince didn’t have romantic feelings toward Aiden.

Chris blushed. “I think he’s gorgeous and the way his power flows around him is intoxicating. I know I shouldn’t but that was one of my reasons for confronting him to begin with about the rumors.”

Severus noticed Draco had gone paler, before he masked the hurt that had formed on his face. This was not going to end well for Draco, unless the Prince didn’t change his thoughts in regards to Aiden. “Are you in love with Aiden? Did you hope to have him for yourself?” Severus questioned trying to keep his shock from showing.

“No, Gods no. I would never try to covet what belongs to my brother. However, I can’t help what I feel. Ever since I met Aiden and felt his magic, I’ve always had this pull toward him. However, I don’t love him in that way. I’m beginning to feel that way for someone else.” Chris explained sharply, before glancing toward Draco.

“Well then you need to tell your brother what you just told us. Because I fear that those feelings were projected as, Aiden was skimming your thoughts. Moreover, in turn told your brother. Now let’s get the salve to heal that hand before morning.” Severus announced with finality as he went to his storage room.

While Severus was gone, Draco and Chris sat in silence. It wasn’t until Severus returned with the healing salve and ordered them out. That one of them spoke.

“Did you really mean what I think you meant?” Draco looked at Chris sharply, before starting down the hall.

“I don’t understand?” Chris replied as he caught up to the other.

“That you don’t love Aiden, but someone else? And by your look that someone is me?” Draco asked right as they made it to the stairs.

“Yes and Yes.” Chris replied looking straight into Draco’s eyes.

Draco said nothing, just pulled Chris toward him, kissing him hard. He could tell that Chris was shocked by his forwardness. Nevertheless, couldn’t bring himself to care. When Draco broke the kiss, he noticed the flush face of Chris and stated. “Good, but just so you know I’m very hard to keep. Make sure you really want this with me. And then let me know.” Draco stated warmly before walking down the stairs and out of site. Leaving a speechless Prince in his wake.

Wyatt and Aiden had awoken from their nap and decided they needed to start interrogating the prisoners. Wyatt felt that doing this would get his mind off his brother and it really needed to be done. They had put it off for long enough. Therefore, after a quick shower and dressing back in court robes they were heading down to the dungeons.

Dungeons

The prisoners had all been bathed and feed, as soon as word was brought that the King and his Consort would be coming for a few of them. It was tense with some of the prisoners especially the younger ones. None of them knew who was going to be taking first. They all went closer to the bars when a noise was heard. They knew that it was time.

“My King and Consort, they are ready for you.” Thomas stated with a bow.

“Excellent, my Consort and I will be interrogating only a few at this time. Aiden already knows who he wants first.” Wyatt announced with coldness as his arm held Aiden around the waist.

“My Consort, which ones have you chosen.” Thomas asked

“Follow me!” Aiden remarked with a cold smirk, as he lead them toward the first cell.

Neville was standing close to the bars when the three stood before it. His eyes widened when the Consort pointed directly at him. In addition, gasped when he was surrounded by blue lights. Only to be standing outside his cell with two guards holding him tightly.

Once Wyatt and Aiden were content that Neville was safe they went further down the hall. This time to stop at the cell occupied by the Weasley Twins and Ron.
Aiden smiled coldly as he looked inside their cell. He was going to enjoy this. Oh yes he was.

Wyatt had noticed the cold smile on his husband. In addition, knew that the ones in this cell were going to be in for it. Moreover, just to make matters worse went to stand behind Aiden with the same cold smile. “Which one husband-mine?”

“Can you separate twins?” Aiden replied coldly, he was enjoying the looks of fear that graced the faces of the Weasley brothers.

“That would not be wise my own. “ Wyatt remarked after several minutes.

“Noted, well then I think we should bring them both for questioning.” Aiden smirked as Wyatt’s hand went out to grab them in balls of light.

Aiden was a little shocked that Ron grabbed his brothers at the same time. Causing all three of them to be grabbed quickly by the guards. Turning an evil grin toward Ron, Aiden replied. “Three instead of two, what a steal.” Before motioning for the guards to bring him as well.

“Husband- mine?” Aiden questioned Wyatt as he felt the temperature drop when Ron jumped his orb.

Wyatt was staring at Ron with anger in his eyes. He couldn’t believe the young man was stupid enough to orb jump. Moreover, looked toward Aiden when he was spoken too. “Foolish prisoner, he is my own.” Wyatt responded still looking toward Ron, allowing a cold smile to form as said prisoner turned red faced.

“Indeed, well I’m finished here. Are you?” Aiden remarked as he placed his arm through Wyatt’s.

“Yes for today.” Wyatt answered Aiden, before turning toward the guards. “Bring them to the interrogation room at once.” Then as one Wyatt and Aiden walked back down the hall and up the stairs out of sight.

“WALK” barked the guards as one, pushing the four prisoners out of the dungeons and toward the interrogation room.

Interrogation Room

Wyatt and Aiden were awaiting the prisoners and Lord Zion as well as the Secretary of Magic and one High Counsel Lord, Richard Nigel. The two had decided that they needed more people present. In addition, that the Secretary and High Counsel Lord had a right to be present, but Lord Zion was just for show.

“King, High Consort, I’m honored you would allow the Secretary and I to be present.” Lord Nigel stated with a slight bow.

“My Consort and I felt you both had a right to be here.” Wyatt stated for both of them.

“Formalities aside Wyatt, who are we questioning?” Secretary Jengens asked with amusement.

“Three Weasley brothers and Neville Longbottom.” Aiden remarked with a smirk, before turning toward his husband with eyes full of mischief.

Wyatt’s eyes widened slightly under what Aiden’s eyes were asking. “No, no, no Husband-mine. I do not want to deal with Storm.”

“But darling, I can get inside their heads easier.” Smiled Aiden as he looked into Wyatt’s eyes with innocents.

“No” Wyatt softly stated, his resolve was cracking under those beautiful eyes of his husband.

“My King, the Consort is right, we need inside their heads. And it would give us and advantage as well.” Zion remarked from his position along the way.

“I agree.” Came the voices of Jengens and Nigel, they both thought Aiden’s idea held merit.

Wyatt didn’t know whether he wanted to scream, cry or whimper. They didn’t understand why he did not want Storm present instead of his Husband. “Fine, but one of you will deal with Storm, if he decides to lose control.”

“I would never.” Aiden began to protest, but the stern look his husband gave caused a little pout. “Well maybe I would.” Before Aiden became Storm with a cry.

“They’re in the other room my King.” Zion stated with a slight shake of his head.

“Let’s get started, Storm who’s first?” Wyatt asked his phoenix companion, he always had problems getting his brain to acknowledge that Storm and Aiden were too separate, but the same.

‘Neville, first, I really need to know what’s been going on. And Wyatt be careful with him.’ Storm stated with a soft trill.

“Longbottom, first and Storm says we need to be careful with him. But did not say why?” Wyatt told the others, before Zion walked inside the other room to bring in the prisoner.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Room Opposite the Interrogation Room

Neville was seated away from the Weasley brothers with two guards. They were still holding him to his chair. Glancing toward the three brothers he noticed the twins were remaining calm, however Ron was shaking in the guards hold.

Neville did not understand why he was chosen. Feeling that the King would want someone like Dumbledore first. Because the headmaster was the one that planned the kidnappings in the first place. He was about to ask one of his guards about it when the door opened revealing a tall man. Neville figured he was over 6’ but had silver hair and bright azure eyes. He couldn’t help but stare. However when the man smirked at him, he had to lower his eyes.

The Weasley twins were also looking at the man before him. However, they realized he was more than just a man, he was a vampire. In addition, from the look of his clothing one of high rank. Ron on the other hand was watching the scene with narrowed eyes. He didn’t want to be here at all. For Ron thought, this was beyond ridiculous. They shouldn’t have even have been prisoners.

“Guards bring Longbottom to the room. The King says that he shall be first.” Zion stated coldly, ignoring the snort from one of the red headed males.

“Yes Kindred Lord.” One of the guards that held Neville replied before hauling the young man from his seat.

“This is stupid, why would they want Neville first.” Snorted Ron as he watched the guards leave with Neville and the other man.

“Shut up Ron, you maybe next. And you have no idea what they do here to get answers from prisoners.” George snapped at his younger brother.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When Neville was brought in, he noticed that the King was still present but not the Consort. As well as there was two others he didn’t recognize, a woman and another man. Then he saw a beautiful phoenix perched on one of the windowsills.

“Be seated Mr. Longbottom.” Wyatt commanded before glancing at Storm. It was decided that the questions would commence after Storm was inside the man’s head.

Storm trilled that he was indeed inside and ready. ‘Wyatt let Zion question Neville.’

“Why?” Wyatt announced not realizing he spoke aloud. Until he seen the confused looks from everyone present. ‘Why?’

Storm trilled in what seemed laughter. ‘Just humor me.’

“Zion, Storm feels this one should be questioned by you.”

Zion blinked as he glanced at Wyatt before looking at Storm. He understood then when Storm had lowered his head slightly that the phoenix had smelled something off with the prisoners and him. He couldn’t know that this one was his mate. Zion thought but quickly turned toward the prisoner to begin.

“Name?”

Neville looked at the man with wide eyes. The man already knew his name, was the only thought that ran through his mind. “But you already know my name.”

With that said, Wyatt and the others coughed trying to keep from laughing. All but Zion, his eyes narrowed not believing the defiance coming from the young one. While Storm trilled in laughter, because he heard Neville’s confused thought.

“Neville Longbottom” Neville announced with a sigh.

Therefore, Zion began with the questions; they ranged from wanting Neville’s age to where he lived, his parents, any living relatives and so on. Until it was, time to get to the pressing questions.

“Why did you attack the Royal Family?” Hissed Zion as he moved closer to the young man.

“I was forced to. The headmaster wanted help with the demons and since the Charmed Ones didn’t respond, he decided to just take them instead. I had no clue they were the Royal Family until we were already prisoners. “

“Are you the one of prophecy?” Zion wearingly asked, ignoring the sharp intakes of breath from the others.

“No, the headmaster says I am, but I know different.” Neville stated lowering his head in defeat, now he knew why he was chosen first.

“Who is the one of prophecy?” Zion wanted this answered, even though everyone in the room knew the prophecy from Dumbledore was false.

“Harry, Harry Potter. The one that was betrayed, the one that died in Azkaban.”

“Did you betray Harry Potter?” Zion asked coldly, he ignored the painful trill coming from Storm. However, the Consort had a right to know, as did everyone in this room.

“No, Harry was the first person to ever be kind to me. I would never betray him.” Neville snapped his head up with a look of defiance and truth.

“ENOUGH!” Wyatt roared as he saw the look of pain in the eyes of Longbottom. “Take him back to the side room, Zion. And bring in the red head, the one that jumped my orb.”

Zion bowed before pulling Longbottom out of the room. He knew that he over stepped some with the questions. Nevertheless, wanted to know if his mate was apart of harming the Consort.

‘Are you alright? Can you finish?’ Wyatt asked softly as he stroked Storm’s feathers. He could tell what was said or what he seen in the prisoner’s thoughts had caused the pain, which was coming off Storm in waves.

‘No, but I will be. And yes I can finish.’

Wyatt said nothing, just continued to stoke Storm as the next prisoner was brought in. Everyone noticed that Zion was being rougher with this one than he was with the first. Narrowing his eyes, Wyatt felt there was something strange with the way Zion was acting. However, decided he would corner the Kindred Lord later.

“Madam Secretary, he is yours.” Wyatt stated with a wave of his hand.

“Thank you, King Wyatt.” Jengens stated with warmth before turning sharply at Ron Weasley, holding a vial of Vertiserum.

Ron’s eyes went wide when he noticed what the vial was. Neville didn’t say anything about being dosed, when he came back in the room. He didn’t even look as though he had been questioned at all.

“Name?”
“Ronald Billus Weasley”
“Age?”
“Nineteen”

“It’s working Nigel, let’s begin shall we?” Jengens smirked as she started her interrogation.

The things coming out of the young man’s mouth was awful. Ron had openly admitted to betraying Harry Potter. He stated that Dumbledore paid him and his family for befriending Potter and Longbottom. That the Headmaster had been right to place Potter in Azkaban, even though all the evidence shown his innocents. The prophecy could have gone either way and even though he felt Longbottom useless. He wasn’t about to give up the fame that came with being the boy’s friend.

Dumbledore had planned everything for the kidnapping of the Charmed Ones while the four others negotiated the Treaty with the Ministry. It was suppose to be quick just grab them and leave, nobody being the wiser. However, Dumbledore did not count on Avalon’s King and the other boy coming to their rescue. That the plan for after they had the Charmed Ones, they would be dosed with compulsion potions. This would have them helping the Order of the Phoenix with out a second thought. In addition, when the final battle was over Dumbledore was going to erase their memories and sent them back to America.

By the time, the Secretary had finished questioning the young man. The room was silent as a grave. The King was pale and beyond angry. Storm had even quietly perched on Wyatt’s shoulders shaking in anger. While High Lord Nigel’s lips were pressed in a tight line. Lord Zion was standing off to the side, near the door, he was angry, but from the power that was coming off the King and Storm. He knew he didn’t want to be caught in the magic backlash, if it occurred. Secretary Jengens was speechless; she had never heard something so underhanded in all her years running America.

“Guards!” came the rough voice of Wyatt as he gained some control over his emotions. When the guards entered, he turned to the prisoner that had just received the antidote, and spoke with a voice of ice. “You, Ronald Weasley have just confessed to being an accomplice to helping carry out a form of Magical Treason, and as such will be returned to the dungeons until your sentence is decided. Take him away.”

Storm transformed back into Aiden as soon as Ron was out of the room. Burying himself into his husbands arms with a silencing charm to keep the others from hearing him cry. What he had heard wasn’t what he expected. Wyatt said nothing just held onto Aiden like a lifeline. He feared that many of the prisoners had commented the same. Sentencing someone to Magical Treason no matter how minor was usually a death sentence. Moreover, this was the first time since he began King that he called it.
