Chapter Twenty-Six


Kings Chambers


Wyatt’s eyes slowly opened only to have his vision blocked by a curtain of black. It took him several minutes to realize that his face was in his husbands’ hair. Smiling softly as he remembered last night, before lifting his left hand to move the hair from his face.


By the slow breathing of his husband, Wyatt noted that he was still sleeping soundly. In addition, began softly kissing the now exposed neck. Hearing a moan from Aiden, before his husband turned to face him, with emerald eyes. Wyatt was glad to see those eyes. He sometimes wished Aiden would keep them, but knew it wasn’t safe to do so.


“Morning,” whispered Wyatt with a soft smile.


“Morning,” yawned Aiden before burrowing his face into Wyatt’s chest. He just wanted to remain in bed, wrapped around his husband.


Wyatt continued to smile as he wrapped Aiden tighter to his chest. He wanted so much to stay in bed, but knew that wasn’t an option. There was so much to do this day. However, when he heard the light snoring of his husband, figured they could stay this way for a while longer.

Aiden woke up finally with a start, gone were the strong arms that held him earlier. Tilting his head slightly he heard the faint sounds of water. Knowing that Wyatt was in the shower, he crawled out from the blanket to join him. Wincing slightly as pain shoot up his spine. Before sending a healing spell to his ass.

Wyatt looked up as the bathroom door opened. To see the beautiful site of his blushing husband. “Join me?”


Aiden just nodding, trying to will his blush away. As he slipped into the shower stall into Wyatt’s arms. Groaning as Wyatt began to wash his hair, then his body.


Wyatt loved the feel of Aiden’s hair as he rinsed the conditioner out, before moving to clean his husbands’ body. He was just about to turn the shower off when Aiden had entered. However, seeing the beautiful form of his love walk into the shower, and his arms stopped him.


“I have a lot of issues to address today.” Wyatt stated as he rinsed the soap off Aiden, before kissing those soft lips.

“Don‘t you mean,we have a lot of issues to address.” Aiden looked into his husbands blue eyes with his emerald.


With that statement Wyatt’s eyes brightened, he didn’t want to assume that Aiden wanted to be present during that meeting with Chris and Kai. In addition, was overjoyed that he did. “Yes, we have to address.” Wyatt responded as he helped his husband out of the shower. Moreover, was about to grab the towels, when he felt a rush of warm air hit his body. Turning sharply to his husband with a questioning look.


“Magic is such a wonderful gift.” Came the smug reply of Aiden, before he walked out of the bathroom. Leaving a startled husband behind.

Kings Sitting Room


“Piper, I don’t think coming here was the best idea.” Leo stated calmly as he followed his wife toward the sofa.


“Of course this is a good idea Leo. I want answers and Wyatt will give them to me. I’ve never known of a bonding doing that.” Piper snapped as she sat down waiting.


“I’m sure there is a logical answer, Piper. But coming into their private space is another matter.” Leo huffed, he wanted answers as well. But only when the boy’s were ready to answer them.


A moment later both Piper and Leo looked up at the voice of their son. Who was standing in the doorway between the sitting room and bedroom. With Aiden at his side, both dressed for court. As the royal headbands were on both their brows.


“Mom, Dad what are you doing here?” Wyatt calmly stated, before leading Aiden into the room with a hand resting on his lower back.


“Son, something happened last night during your bonding. And your Mother will not let it go.” Leo began to explain only to be stopped by his wife.


“A wave of Magic went through the castle honey. Causing the whole thing to shake.” Piper stated with a look that said, ‘Tell me what I want to know.’

Wyatt blinked before roaring into laughter. Followed closely by Aiden. When they finally regained control of themselves, Wyatt stated. “That’s was normal Mom.”


“That had never happened in this family Wyatt. So don’t you tell me it was normal.” Piper huffed


Wyatt really did not want to explain this to his Mother. Moreover, glanced down at Aiden, with eyes that said. ‘Explain this please.’ Aiden had noticed the look, that his husband threw at him. In addition, with a deep breath Aiden looked at Wyatt’s parents with a look of mischief.


“The reason this has never happened in the Halliwell family, is because you only married. Wyatt and I bonded; it is a different form of marriage. “Aiden began to explain, before leaning into his husbands’ chest.


“What do you mean different?” Piper asked not sure if she was going to like this or not. Ignoring the hiss from her husband to be quiet.

“In a regular ceremony you would only exchange vows and use a cord to bind the marriage.” (Piper nodded while Leo winced.) Aiden stated and was being to feel sorry for Leo, because obviously he didn’t bond to his wife, just married her.

“Wyatt and I exchanged blood. We were bound heart, body and soul. Meaning that when we… had sex. Hell the wave you felt was the sharing of power. We didn’t just marry each other; we bonded ourselves together as one.” Aiden finished with a blush; this was not a conversation he wanted to have.


“You mean that you share everything? Magic and lifespan?” Piper whispered as she looked at the two boys‘. Before glancing at her husband in accusation. She hadn’t known that Leo and she could have done the same.


“Sorry Mom, but yes we share our magic and lifespan.” Wyatt responded with sad eyes. He knew what was running through her mind.


Piper nodded, before standing up and walking out of the room. She needed to think about this alone. It wasn’t the fact they were able to share their magic. It was the fact that her husband would have been able to share his lifespan with her. In addition, chose not to share that information before they were married.


Leo groaned, he wished now more than ever that Piper hadn’t learned the difference between marriage and bonding. Looking up at his son and new son-in-law with a hurtful expression, before he too left their quarters.


“Well this was not how I wanted our day to begin, my love.” sighed Wyatt as he moved from behind Aiden.


“Wyatt I…” Aiden began to apologize, but was cut off by Wyatt kissing him. When they broke apart, he looked up into Wyatt’s eyes only to see love and understanding.


“Don’t apologize Aiden, you did nothing wrong. Mom just found out another secret that Dad kept from her, all these years.” Wyatt exclaimed before beginning to lead them out of the suite. Just to stop at the door, when he realized his husband still had his emerald eyes. “You may want to change back my love, your still in your natural form. “


Aiden’s eyes widened. Moreover, before Wyatt’s eyes emerald shifted back to silvery blue. As the lightening bolt scar vanished, before the red streaks appeared through his once black hair. “Thanks, I had forgotten.”


“Welcome, let’s go have some breakfast. Then I plan on confronting my brother and Kai.“ Wyatt remarked as they started toward the stairs.


“Hmmm. I think Storm needs to come out and play today, darling.” Aiden stated with a sly smirk.


This will be a long day. Wyatt thought with a groan. Trying to ignore his husband chuckling beside him.

Wyatts Study

Wyatt wanted to bang his head on his desk. Storm(Aiden) was flying around trilling all the things he wanted to do to Kai. Moreover, what he wanted Wyatt himself to do.


‘Oh how much fun it would be to fry that blood sucker.’ Storm trilled in anger as he flew around the room.


‘There will be nofried vampire in my office.’


‘Fine what about an ice sculpture?’ Storm trilled before landing on top of the desk looking at his husband with determined eyes.

‘No there will be no fried or iced vampire, companion-mine.’ Huffed Wyatt at his husband, and wanted to wince as Storm’s eyes narrowed at him.


‘Ruin all my fun. What are you going to do then?’ Huffed Storm as flew off the desk to his golden perch.


‘You’ll find out soon enough. All you need to do is get inside his head.’ Wyatt exclaimed with a voice meant the discussion was over.


‘And your brother, companion-mine?’ Storm trilled in laughter at the thought of Chris turned into a nice juicy mouse. Not knowing he had projected that to his husband.


Wyatt gasped at the sight of his brother being turned to a mouse and Storm chasing him. ‘A mouse?’


‘Oops, was I broadcasting again?’ trilled Storm from his perch.


‘Yes’ came the bland reply of Wyatt, before the doors to his study opened to have Chris and Kai entering.


“Have seat gentlemen.” Wyatt stated coldly as he looked at his brother then Kai. Trying to keep from laughing at the thought of a Mouse Chris.


Chris glanced at Kai before sitting. His eyes widened when he noticed Storm watching them with narrowed eyes. At first, he didn’t think Aiden would be present for this. However, seeing the phoenix form of his brother-in-law told him otherwise.

“I’m sure the both of you are aware of the reason you were summoned. Therefore, I will not go into details. Chris, you as my brother and Prince went over your station. And I will deal with you first.” Wyatt snapped coldly allowing the room to chill, as he narrowed his eyes at his brother.


“When the rumors began about my Consort, you took it upon yourself to confront him. This in turn caused more damage, not just to Aiden but also to me. As a result almost caused my wedding to come to a halt. We are about to wage war on Britain, and to do so my bonding needed to be finalized. As your King, I could demand you to make amends. But as your brother, I want you to explain why you went above your station first.” Wyatt commanded coldly, before glancing at Storm. Getting a trill from his husband, letting him know he was already inside Chris’s head.


“Dad always said that your Queen would be powerful and show no weakness. Nevertheless, to my surprise you chose a Consort instead. Especially the way you would drive me crazy talking about having children of your own. Aiden is not weak, and I didn’t imply that he was. However, those rumors were running everywhere and it seemed as though you didn’t care. So I figured someone needed to bring it to Aiden’s attention.” Chris rambled his explanation to his brother, not realizing his thoughts were being read as well.


Wyatt said nothing for several minutes, until an angry trill rang out from Storm. ’What’s wrong companion-mine?’


’He thinks you could have done better than I could, also feels that you have been slacking in your duties. That is funny. That even though I’m not weak in power, I should not submit to you openly. You should have chosen a Queen, if you wanted someone to submit to you. His thoughts are confusing; it will take some time to sort them all. What does he mean by children? Doesn’t he know I can bare children?’ trilled Storm with anger and confusion.

“Brother, I will say this one time. Aiden is my equal and chosen by magic. He will always submit to me. From what I’ve gotten from you in explanation is that you feel I have not done my duty as King. Moreover, decided to step up to the plate yourself in trying to rein Aiden in. Do tell me brother if I’m wrong in my assumption.” Wyatt snapped coldly, ignoring the snickering of Kai. He knew what he was going to do to that Vampire now.

“That’s not it at all. I don’t want to be King, Wyatt, but I don’t want Aiden bringing Avalon down either. And he being so submissive was causing problems that you weren’t addressing.” Huffed Chris not noticing his brother’s spike in magic.

’Calm companion-mine, he is jealous of you, of us.’ Storm stated before trilling in laughter. ’Oh this is rich, he wanted me for himself companion-mine.’


“WHAT!” roared Wyatt aloud causing Chris and Kai to jumped in there seats. They didn’t know what had caused the Kings outburst.


“Chris get out. I’ll deal with you later!” snapped Wyatt coldly his eyes showing a bit of sadness, and betrayal.


Chris said nothing; he wasn’t sure why his brother was dismissing him. However, as he was leaving noticed that Storm was on Wyatt’s shoulder trilling softly as he nuzzled him. He couldn’t help but feel jealous of what the two had. That was one of the reasons he confronted Aiden that day. It was a closeness that he wanted for himself.


Once Chris was gone, Wyatt looked sharply at Kai. He was still reeling over the fact his own brother wanted to covet what was his. That even the loving trill from Storm couldn’t stop him from doing what he did next.


“And you caused it all! Out of respect for your Uncle, I will let you stay in Avalon. However, from this moment on, your rank in Avalon’s Army is no more. I strip you of your title as Lieutenant. Further more as of this day you will be on guard rotation under the watchful eyes of Rayden. Get out of my site before I lose my manners and allow Storm the ice sculpture he wanted.” Roared Wyatt as his magic slammed into Kai, throwing him through the study door.

Outside of Wyatt’s Study


The guards that were standing outside couldn’t stop the shock that graced their faces. As the high-ranking officer known as Kai went flying through. Alternatively, the fact that it was their King that did it. All of them looked down at Kai with anger in their eyes. It did not take a genius to know that the vampire had raised the Kings anger.


Kai grunted, as he landed, not wanting to believe what had happened. Nevertheless, as he glanced at the missing door realized he had made a huge mistake. In addition, wasn’t sure how he would be able to regain his spot. Slowly getting to his feet, he noticed the guards that were stationed outside looked at him in anger. Not wanting to try to explain what happened, pushed his way down the hall and out of site.


“Should we fix the door?” Harlen whispered toward the other guards. However, jumped at the angry voice of the King.


“LEAVE IT AND GO AWAY!!!”

Damon whistled as he pulled the young guard away from the opening. “Let’s go.” He stated to the others as he continued to pull Harlen down the hallway. Knowing the others would follow behind him.
