Chapter 28

December whipped around with the students looking forward to the end of term and returning home to their familes. Hermione and Snape spent time with their two childern and his behavior with the Gryffindors changed since the birth of his two childern. Hermione meanwhile wanted to have another child, but thought better of it. She didn\'t think that she could handle being pregnant again. Ivy and Tonks were the two remaining people that had to get checked up by Madam Pomfrey, and since she had left Hermione alone she was able to get more done. Lucius was worried about the birth of his daughter. He had decided to name her Elvira, something that the school sometimes liked to joke about when there was nothing to talk about.

Hermione spent her time getting ready for her N.E.W.T\'S. She wanted to get the top grades so that she could get into the carrier of her choice. And so Snape sometimes caught her fast asleep with a Advance Defense Against the Dark Arts book open and plastered to her face. Soon however term ended and the students left. Harry and his soon to be wife left to go to her parents house. She hadn\'t introduced to to her parents and Hermione almost laughed herself silly thinking about what kind of questions that mum and dad would ask.

Ginny who had just turned legal marrying age was promised to Colin Creevy. Not because he was muggle-born, but because they were in love. Molly commented that it made the whole thing much more bareable. Hermione sometimes wondered if she had gotten over the fact that her son had been the Heir of Slytherin. The Snape\'s kept themselves busy by walking the grounds, they had just turned the corner to visit Professor Grubbly-plank when something shot at them. Hermione screamed as Snape covered her with his body. He looked up to see a girl on horseback. She wore long green and silver robes and was looking at them, or at least as far as Snape could see with utter dislike. He noticed that she was holding something that looked like a baby. She reared her horse and disappeared from sight.
\" What was that?\" Hermione asked. Snape looked around and saw a note. He took it and opened it.

\' THE NEW HEIR OF SLYTHERIN HAS BEEN BORN\'

Hermione almost screamed at those words. Snape knew what had happened, Ron had gotten a girl with child so that if he died then Slytherins line would continue. Snape knew of course that the child couldn\'t of just been born. This was a first glimps and they would have to wait eleven years to find out who it was. Snape and Hermione raced back to the castle and told Professor Dumbledore and McGonagall what happened. Professor McGonagall gasped, but Dumbledore did nothing. Snape suspected that he knew that this had happened. The holiday\'s were not much fun with the threat of another Heir of Slytherin hanging over the Snape family and when term began Professor Dumbledore told the school what had happened.

\" We know for sure that this child will be a grave threat, but if he or she chooses well then we can prevent something liked Tom Riddle from happening again.\" Hermione of course wasn\'t so hopeful on that subject. A week later will still no sign of the rider something far more pleasent hit the school Ivy Malfoy gave birth to Elivra and the school celebrated something much nicer happening to the school. Of course Lucius was beside himself with glee and didn\'t let his daughter out of his sight.
\" I swear that girl will have to drag him to Hogwarts when it\'s her turn to go.\"
\" I suspect that Lucius will camp out.\" Hermione giggled at that.
\" No I think he\'ll build a home here. I can just see it.\" Both Snape\'s laughed at that.
