Follows prompt 22; Hands of Fate

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As he sat in the rocking chair slowly rocking his two month old son, Aiden, Harry felt horrible that Jack wouldn't be able to be involved in his son's life, but there wasn't anything he could do about it because he had no idea how he had even gotten to that time and place in the first place.
He couldn't even give his son his father's last name because there was no proof of him being his father and the last Sparrow had died many years ago. If he even tried he would get in trouble for changing history by going back and getting impregnated by someone from that time. Even being the Boy-Who-Lived would be able to stop that..
“Aiden it's time to sleep.” Harry whispered to his son, whom just kept blinking his pale green eyes up at him, fighting it.
Finally after what seemed like hours, Aiden's eyes drifted shut and he fell asleep in Harry's arms.
Standing up, Harry gently lowered his son into his crib then crept out of the room, flipping on the baby monitor on his way out.
While it was hard not having Aiden's father involved in his life, or even in the same century as him, Harry knew he would be able to raise his son the best he could and maybe one day he'd be able to tell his son about his father.
