Law & Auror: SVU
"What've we got?" Senior Auror Benson asked as she and her partner, Senior Auror Stabler, entered the small living quarters.
A second-year trainee stood next to a naked body, fully bent over in a wooden chair, above a pool of blood. He was taking notes.
"Name's Professor Ronald Weasley. War hero, you might remember him. Girlfriend, Hermione Granger, found him. She's in the living room."
He gestured toward a woman sobbing on a couch in the next room and scowled.
"One of the other faculty came down to sit with her. Severus Snape. Don't expect that old git to be any help, though he managed to calm her down a bit."
Stabler frowned as he looked over the body.
"No burns, no cuts, a lot of blood."
He pushed the body's shoulder up and frowned.
"Looks like somebody had a bone to pick with this guy."
The trainee nodded.
"Something like that. Healer says it looks like the guy masturbated to death."
Stabler's eyebrows rose.
"Masturbated to death? Is that possible?"
Benson turned toward her partner from the kitchen counter she had been searching, holding up a small bottle.
"It is if you've had too much of this."
She handed it to Stabler.
"Smells like Potion 9."
Stabler sniffed for himself, then put the bottle into an evidence bag as carefully as possible. He handed the bag to the trainee, who looked confused.
"One of the strongest lust potions you can get in Knockturn Alley. Whoever did this is going to spend a long time in Azkaban just for buying it, not to mention killing the professor with it."
As the trainee walked away to add the bottle to the evidence roster, Benson shook her head and called Stabler to a black bag further down the counter.
"Maybe not. Take a look at this. He's got tons of empty bottles in here that smell the same, and an open box of tea bags. It looks like someone was in the middle of dosing them."
She picked up a few tea bags from the floor.
"Suicide?"
Stabler looked down at the body, then at the woman in the next room.
"The potion works by touch too, doesn't it?"
Benson nodded.
"Yeah, but it's so strong that way that..."
She trailed off as she looked at her partner, realization spreading over her face.
"You think the professor had an accident while he was drugging the girlfriend?"
Stabler began bagging the empty bottles and the tainted tea bags.
"I suggest we test Ms. Granger for traces of the potion. I'll floo Munch and Tutuola, they can head down to the Alley and see who's selling. I'd rather shut them down before we find another inexperienced wizard accidentally killing himself."
Benson sighed and walked into the living room.
"Miss Granger? I'm Senior Auror Olivia Benson. I need to ask you a few questions."
The dark wizard on the couch, comforting Hermione as she sobbed into his handkerchief, glowered at the auror.
Looks like it's going to be one of those days, Benson thought.

I couldn't resist another, especially with two of my favorite detectives along for the ride. ;)
