Soul Bond

Draco saw the look on Harry’s face and knew that he was rapidly loosing control. He looked around at all of the chaos in the room and decided that he needed help. His children were green, his spouse was one thread away from attacking him, the Weasley’s were shouting at each other and at the same time trying to console the children, and Hermione was frantically trying to keep Harry under control. He saw Neville standing bemused off to the side all alone.

“Neville,” he said quietly trying to get his attention without Harry seeing him.

Neville looked at Draco in surprise. “Draco?”

“I need you to take Harry out of here. He has come into his mating time and he won’t be able to hold out for much longer. I have to get this mess under control. No! Stop! Don’t come any closer to me, or Harry will flip!” he said frantically when Neville started to walk closer. “When a bounded pair come into their mating period that won’t allow another near their mate. Don’t let him see you near me. Just get him and take him somewhere away from me.”

“How will I get him to leave?”

“I don’t know!” Draco said in exasperation. “Think of something!”

Neville nodded his head and looked towards Harry. He stopped short when he saw the icy glare that was directed his way. With a gulp Neville called upon his Gryffindor courage and walked towards Harry and his wife. “Hey Harry, Hermione,” he said pleasantly.

“What were you talking to my husband about?” Harry demanded.

Neville debated on making up a story or just telling him the truth. “Can we go for a walk for a second? I need to talk to you about something. Draco told me he didn’t mind.”

Harry stared at Neville and then his eyes searched out his mate. Draco was involved in consoling a crying Princess with Molly. Harry knew that he would be occupied for a while so he nodded to Neville. “Sure.”

Hermione wondered what Neville was up to, but thought Harry needed to leave the room so she held her tongue. Just then there was a pop and the Weasley twins reappeared.

“We have the counter beans!” the announced.

“Give me those!” Molly demanded as she snatched the beans out of her son’s hand. “If you know what’s good for you, these had better work!”

George and Fred saw all of the glaring faces and knew better than to try anymore pranks this night. At least not on the unsuspecting children.
“I liked being green!” Sirius said laughing. “Do you have any other colors?”

George smiled at Harry’s small son. “You remind me of your dad, kid!” he said laughing.

“We have all colors of the rainbow, but today’s probably not a good day,” Fred said.

“George Weasley! Get away from that child!” Molly demanded. “You have caused enough problems today. Fred, if I so much as see you hand those children anything else, I will chop your hands off!”

Siri snickered and stuck his tongue out at the twins. He was glad it was them getting yelled at and now him.

“I don’t like being green, Daddy!” Lilly wailed. “Princess’s are not green!”

“What about Fiona in Shrek?” Siri asked.

“That’s just a cartoon!” she hollered still crying.

“Daddy!” she cried, “I am not Princess Green Lilly!” She took the jellybean that was held out to her and popped it into her mouth. A moment later she was back to normal. “Look, its me!” she said with a happy grin.

The adults all smiled as she pranced around happy to be back to normal. “Dad, do I have to take the jellybean? I like being green. I should have gotten a dragon costume, then I would really look like a dragon!”

Draco smiled at his son. “You don’t have to take it if you don’t want to. Your dad and I wanted to get a few pictures of you and Lilly together, so it would be nice if you were normal.”

Siri thought for a moment. “George, can you give me another green bean for later?”

George looked at Draco and then his mother. He wasn’t about to cross either one of them again today. Draco nodded his head and George grinned. “I can give you what ever color you want for another day.”

“Cool! Ok, dad, I’ll take the jellybean so I can be normal for pictures.”

Draco handed him the bean and watched as he to went back to a normal shade. “So who wants some cake and ice cream now?”

“I want presents first, daddy!” Lilly said. “Aunt Mione has a special one for me!” she said looking hopefully at Hermione.

Hermione grinned. “We have to wait for your dad and Neville to get back first.”

Draco grinned at Hermione. “I’ll go get them and you keep the kids entertained for a bit.”

“Draco, is that a good idea?”

“If I don’t do it, Harry will be useless the rest of the day.”

“But if you do it, the two of you will be gone the rest of the day,” she said.

“No, I have a plan.” Draco turned and looked at Fred. “Hey mate, I have a question for you.”

“Oh no!” Hermione groaned.

“So what’s up, Neville?” Harry asked when they were outside by the lake.

“Draco wanted me to keep you away from him for awhile. He said if you stayed where you could see him you wouldn’t be able to control yourself.”

Harry sighed and took a deep breath. “Yeah, he’s probably right.”

“I can’t say that I understand this soul bound stuff,” Neville said.

“Its very intense. I guess you could say that I am in heat right now. My body is ready to reproduce and I need to have Draco. The first time it happened we both went into heat at the same time, but this time was different. Draco has already become pregnant again, and now I am going into heat separately. I don’t really get it. Soul bound pairs are so rare that there isn’t a lot know about them. Especially when it is two males.”

“I can honestly say that I never would have thought you and Malfoy would end up married and with children. You two hated each other for years.”

“They say that love and hate are the same thing. Neither one of us knew what was going on. Perhaps if Lucius hadn’t stole the Soul book and we had found out about this sooner we would have understood more about what was happening to us.”

“Yeah, I guess Malfoy didn’t want his line tainted with your Muggle blood. That, and you were the one to defeat the dark lord. It was probably a bit much for him to want to welcome you into the family.”

Harry laughed. “I think it was more my Muggle blood than anything else.”

“Father was a bit fussy about that wasn’t he, dear?” Draco purred behind Harry as he reached around and pulled him into his arms. “You can go now, Longbottom.”

Neville looked at the way the two were looking at each other and made a hasty retreat. He knew he didn’t want to see what he was sure was about to happen.

“Oh god’s Draco, what are you doing to me?” Harry gasped when he felt his husband’s hands on him.

“I couldn’t leave you out here alone to suffer. Here, love, I brought you a drink.”

Harry took the offered drink and gulped it down and then dropped the cup and pulled Draco into his arms. “I need you now! I have to feel you inside of me, I can’t wait.”
