Chapter 3

Harry woke up with an owl pecking lightly at his face. He rolled over grabbed his glasses and looked around the room. There were actually three owls there. One was Hedwig with Sirius' reply, one was an owl delivering the Daily Prophet, and the last one was Errol the Weasley's owl. The first one he delt with was the one from the Prophet. As soon as he paid for the paper the owl took off out the window. The next one he went to was Errol.

"Poor bird." Harry said as he picked him up and sat him on the bottom of Hedwig's cage.

Errol hooted softly."Your welcome." Harry took both the letters from Ron and Sirius and sat on the bed deciding which one to open first. Nervous he opened the one from Ron first.

Harry,

Hey mate. How are the muggles treating you? Hope they aren't treating you horribly. Maybe I could talk mum and dad into letting you come to my house soon. Well gotta go. -Ron-

 

Harry laughed now he had not one but two options. But if Sirius was coming soon he wanted to spend some of the summer with him. He could always see if Ron and Hermione could come over at some point. Harry turned Sirius' letter over and opened it.

Harry,

I'm glad you still want to come live with me! I understand about your relatives, you are lucky you didn't know my mother. Anyway back to the point. It will not matter with the ministry, because I am your legal guardian, now that my name has been cleared. If it is ok with you I will be round tomorrow at 11. See you soon! -Padfoot-

 

Harry walk over to his desk and wrote Ron and Sirius back. He wrote Sirius first.

Padfoot,

That's fine with me. See you soon. -Harry-

 

Then he wrote Ron to tell him what was going on.

Ron,

Hey mate! The muggles are treating me same as always. Don't worry though Padfoot is coming to get me tomorrow. I'm going to live with him from now on. Don't tell Mione yet, I'm writing her as well with the news. Maybe I can see if you guys could come over once I get there. -Harry-

Harry pulled out one more piece of parchment and wrote a quick note to Hermione.

Mione,

Thought I would let you know the good news. I'm going to live with Sirius! Now that his name is cleared he is my legal guardian. Isn't that awesome. Gotta go pack and share the news with the Dursley's. -Harry-

Harry got up from the desk and walked over to Hedwig's cage.

"Hey girl, can you take this to Padfoot. Then come straight back here. Okay girl." Hedwig nipped his fingers gently in reply.

"Okay Errol time to go home." Errol popped his head up and hooted softly. Harry tied the letter to his leg and threw him out the window. Harry stood there watching Hedwig and Errol fly out of site. He looked around the room and realized that in the few days he had been here his stuff was all over his room.

'I really should start packing. I want to make sure I am ready when Siri arrives.' Harry took great care to make sure he packed all of his stuff away into his trunk. When he was sure he had everything he looked at the clock and realized it was midnight. He took off his glasses layed down and fell asleep.
