Well, maybe you need more than that.

The lake was rather beautiful at this time of night. The stars danced on its surface, in slow but rich and dynamic dance. The moon stood in as a conductor, guiding them right and keeping the beat, since it saw the surface much better than the stars. The usual sounds of nature were around, but not high or prominent enough to be in the way. Then and then an owl would hoot, or a wolf would howl, but that was about what came through.

Luna sat legged at the edge of the water. She sat so close the water almost touched her, but, like it was magic, the water always divided once it got near her enough. She had dried a little spot of snow for her one pleasure, as to not get wet by the snow, but by her grimacing, one could easily think that was exactly what she felt herself deserve.

It was cold, but not cold enough for the lake to freeze. It just sparkled a little extra. Luna appeared to use the moon to warm herself, and so she did not have on a lot of clothes; just enough to add some protection against the wind. She often preferred to be nude at nights, or at least semi-nude, beside the lake (Which she often was during warmer nights. I know; I have seen it).

I don’t know what the girl was thinking at all, nor can I really speculate. I guess it was about red, the other one, but I can’t be sure. This girl is somewhat hard to read.

“So what should I do?”

Wait! Something is happening. The blonde spoke. I need to get this!

Luna spoke with the lake. She sat directly at it, looking out on its surface and spoke. Only she knows what it answered. But everyone (probably) heard what she said next.

“I want to hold her and I want to kiss her, and I am really curious about love, but I can’t! I am too nervous! What if I do not met her expectations? What if I am bad at it? Shouldn’t she deserve the best?” She sighed deeply; “And why did I say I would be able to “concentrate soon”? Why something so idioteque?”

Luna spoke with agony, and with fear. It seemed as the lake did not provide good enough answers, since she then fell back and instead spoke directly to the moon and the stars.

“Isn’t it best if I just left her alone? Drawing back, isn’t that what’s easiest? To just – to just tell her that I don’t like it – like her – that way after all? That being friends would be best”

Luna sighed, and sat back up again. She looked intently at the lake, and envied the stars, dancing slowly, but still dancing.

The moon sparkled bright. And then a voice other that Luna’s spoke up just behind her.

“And you don’t think that would hurt the girl in question?”

And the blonde girl looked around so fast she fell over! You would believe I just made that up for comic relief, but it was true! She really fell over!

And once she got back up, she looked cautiously at the man standing behind her.

Or man and man.

I would say a rather skinny boy. Close to man, but still not there.

Well, maybe you need more than that.

He also had black, unruly hair.

“No, I don’t think that is a really good solution, Luna” Harry continued. “I can’t say that I understand love myself, not in the slightest, but what you said? Nah… Doesn’t sound right to me”

Harry Potter, the boy who lived, sat down besides Luna, the girl who looks on lakes, in the circle of dried grass. He had come out of nowhere, which was unusual for Luna to miss. When she was alone in a place she usually tended to take note on those who came after her, as she then would not be alone. In most presences she preferred to be alone.

But Harry had succeeded. She (probably) guessed that that was one of the reasons he was the boy who had survived everything and all and all and all again.

He was quiet, and he too looked on the surface of the lake. For a while they both sat there, just watching the stars dance over the lake. But that could not go on forever.

“So then what should I do?” The background noise was dangerously close to make Harry miss what Luna said, but he heard; and he answered.

“Be secure in yourself” Harry’s voice was not much louder. It did not need to be.

“What I learned through my battles, after a while at least, was that you should always, always believe in yourself.” He smiled at her. “Then you just hope it works out.”

Luna pondered on this for a moment, then stated feebly:

“Harry…”

“Yeah?”

“That advice was really bad”

“Naaah”

Harry chuckled; then got up on his feet, stretching his back. “It has always worked out for me, hasn’t it?” He said with a smile.

“And I, in the end, believed in me. You see?” He began to walk away, up towards the castle. “Point is Luna; don’t hurt anyone! Neither the ones you love, nor yourself.”

Then he thought, smugly to himself “Harry out!” and walked, cool and all, up to the castle gates.

Damn; I am good at narrating!

And now: time change!

The lake, dancing stars and all, was now empty of human presence. Might as well, it was 3 o’clock in the morning.
