Hazel eyes

 

Instead of being able to continue with his desires a knock at the door disrupted them. Severus groaned in frustration as he quickly got up and straightened his clothes and flicked his wand making pajamas magically appear on Artemis. “Come in.”

   

 

Harry walked in and looked at Artemis with a lopsided smile. “I wanted to talk to Artemis alone if you don’t mind.”

   

 

Severus just grunted and walked out leaving the two of them alone. He decided if he couldn’t do anything as of yet he would at least take a refreshing walk. Artemis sat on the bed and looked at Harry.

   

 

“You’re the one they call Harry right?” Artemis asked looking at him with a somewhat guilty expression. 

   “Ya. Ummm I just came to ask you how things are going for you? I know this is a new experience and all.” Harry said nervously not being able to look at her.

   

 

“I’m doing just fine. Its defiantly something I will have to get used to but nothing I will worry to much about. All of you have been very nice to me and I just want to say I’m sorry for what happened to you. I know you probably wouldn’t want to hear that from me but I truly am. I was only three when your parents were killed. I know I cant exactly say I know what its like and I wish sometimes that I could just so it would make you feel better.” Artemis said while picking at a string on the blanket beneath her. 

   

 

Harry looked at her in somewhat of a disbelief. This girl was telling him she was sorry and that she wished she could sympathize with him. The reality hit him like a brick wall. She was nothing at all like her father. It was like he put all his kindness and love into her when he was raising her. As if he wouldn’t let the outside world touch this innocent girl. “I didn’t think it was possible but now you have confirmed it.” He said almost to himself.

   

 

“Confirmed what?” She asked looking at him with interest now.

 

  

“He loved you with all his heart. The man that nobody thought to have a heart at all had loved you. You are his own flesh and blood and it was expected that you would be the same as him but you are the complete opposite. Your kind and caring, not cold and calculating. The question is how though. How could Voldemort love you and raise you with as much care and love as he did?” Harry asked baffled.

   

 

“I guess even somebody as evil as him wasn’t able to resist the feelings for a child they created. My mother was a lycan that he had no interest in other than a roll in the hay. The only reason he let her live was because she was pregnant with me. During the time I was born though she caught a virus and it killed her. He never told me much of her at all though but he told me once I was born he couldn’t think of killing me. He didn’t understand it at all but he said when he looked upon me it was like somebody had shown him a whole new world. Like a ray of sunshine came down and presented itself to him in his arms. He knew I was his ultimate weakness though. Its why he sheltered me. I never went to school or even to a doctor. He wanted no record of me ever being alive just in case somebody tried to hurt me. He entrusted my education and personal care with one person. That was Lucius Malfoy. I understand he’s a part of your order now. I used to play with Draco all the time. Even during the summer time when he was going to Hogwarts.” Artemis told Harry while thinking of the past.

  

 

Harry stood in the middle of the room stunned. Lucius and even Draco knew of Artemis the entire time. They knew whom she was and never said a word of it to anybody. He finally gained his composure and grabbed her by the hand. “You need to tell everybody else what you said because they will not believe me. Hell you’ll even have a reunion with the Malfoy’s.”

   

 

Once they were in the living room where Molly, Arthur, Charlie, Kingsley, Hermione, Ron, Severus, and Charlie were sitting. They looked up a bit shocked at how Harry urgently rushed into the room with Artemis. “Artemis has something to say and both the Malfoy’s need to be here.” Harry said breathlessly.

   

 

“Harry what has got you all worked up?” Arthur asked concerned.

   

 

“Its about Artemis. Apparently the Malfoy’s helped raise her. Voldemort entrusted her in their care. She grew up with Draco.” Harry said and watched the shocked faces as they turned to look at Artemis wondering if he had gone mad.

   

 

“Its true. I grew up with Draco. Lucius took care of my education and health. He took care of me when my father, known to all of you as Voldemort, was fallen.” Artemis explained to a shocked room. 

  

 Kingsley stood up after the initial shock wore off and cleared his throat. “I’m going to get the Malfoy’s and we can have a reunion while this is also going to be explained.”

  

 

Artemis’ eyes lit up. She was going to see her childhood friend after so many months of not being able to talk to him. Kingsley apparated out of the room to come back with Lucius and Draco both. When Draco laid eyes on Artemis he could not contain his joy. She rushed to him and hugged him close burying her face in his chest. 

   

Lucius patted the girls head. She looked well and it brought great relief to him. After having to abandon her to keep her safe he couldn’t stop worrying. The little girl he helped raise was standing now before him and she hadn’t changed a bit except seeming wiser in the months that he was unable to have any contact with her.

   

 

“Draco I missed you so much. I don’t ever want to not be able to talk to you again. It was the hardest thing I ever did.” Artemis said crying now as she felt Draco’s arms around her holding her protectively.

   

 

“I’m so sorry Art. I wish I never had to leave you behind either. I’m happy that youre safe though.” Draco whispered to her as he laid his cheek on her head. Theyre reunion was interrupted by a cough and Draco looked to see Ron standing now. The entire time he had held amazingly held his tongue but he couldn’t do it anymore.

   

 

“So you knew about her all along?! Bloody hell Draco why didn’t you say anything? She may be your girlfriend and all but she could have been on her dads side and could have come back for revenge on us all and you never thought of warning all of us?!” Ron said feeling anger take over. He grabbed for his wand. He wasn’t able to grab it before he was thrown against a wall and Lucius had his wand pointed in his direction.

   

 

“I do not care who you think you are or what your beliefs may be, but you will never raise your wand or your hand to Artemis ever.” Lucius said oddly quiet. Rage was seething through him. “She has never been a threat to anybody.”
